About this cottage rental
The Sassy Crab MV1D is located in the heart of Old Town Port Aransas and just a 3 minute drive to the beach! The primary bedroom is a king bedroom on the ground floor with an en suite bathroom. Upstairs you will find a queen bedroom, the 3rd bedroom will have 2 twin over full bunk beds. This cottage is within walking distance to the city park, and marina, restaurants, shops and nightlife. After a nice long day at the beach enjoying the surf, sand and sun you can head on back to your cottage and take a dip in the beautiful community pool or cool off under the palapa. Mercer Village also offers community grills, you can bring your catch and serve dinner! This location is golf cart accessible. There are 2 assigned parking spaces for this unit. 3-night minimum required for Summer bookings. Dogs permitted! Pet fees are an additional $20.00 per night, per pet. This rental allows two dogs maximum. No smoking!

Another wonderful stay here! The property was as described, with tons of extra details (dog dishes, games for kids, outdoor shower for after the beach)! This home is located in the golf cart district and is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The check in and out process was easy and convenient. Thank you again and highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Sassy Crab. The unit was clean, decorated nicely and had everything you'd need in the kitchen. The location was great for getting to restaurants and shopping and a short drive to the beach. We enjoyed the on-site pool and the outdoor shower for rinsing off from the beach. The check-in/out process involved stopping at the mgmt company's location to get/return the keys vs. a keypad but it was close by and not a huge deal. We arrived late and were able to get the keys from a lockbox at the mgmt company. I’d definitely stay here again.

The accommodations were fantastic. Very clean and the location is perfect and quiet. Not sure how quiet it is during peak season since we don’t visit Port A during that time. We would recommend this rental and will consider for ourselves on future dates.

The house was very clean but I could tell when we walked in that there had been a dog in the home. Eventually the odor went away and the home was spotless. Only problem we had was that my wife who is only 5'1" could not get in the queen bed it is so high. We had to borrow the step stool from the laundry. Also, the beds were very warm, the mattress was covered in plastic and there was a waterproof mattress cover as well. You could feel the heat from your body rising up and this made it somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that, the house was in a prime location, very well appointed and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Would rent again!

Overall great stay and would stay again! This is a clean and spacious property, very comfortable with 4 adult kids. Close to beach and restaurants. There was a sign on the refrig as to not overload it or it would freeze up. That was a bummer as we arrived with cold food/drinks for the weekend. It never did get cold, we ended up buying ice and keeping our drinks in our cooler. No coffee filters, tv remote batteries or hand soap in the restrooms. We went out and purchased and left for the next guest. Overall great stay and would stay again!

Over all our stay was great. Minus the washer overflowing and leaking water everywhere. We called maintenance and I'm assuming they came quickly as we had to rush my child to ER clinic. The other few concerns I had were there was urine along the bottom of the downstairs toilets.the bathrooms did not smell clean as you can imagine. And in the future it would be nice to have a detailed list of the items in the home to be better prepared. For example is there a air fryer? What type of coffe maker do you have? K cup or filter? Toaster etc. When I called to the office I asked the girl if there was an air fryer, she said no. To my surprise there was one on the counter.

The size and layout of the house was perfect for the 8 of us (6 adults & 2 kids) and was pet friendly. The location was also perfect as it was within walking distance to our favorite restaurants and just a short drive to the beach. We enjoyed the community pool. We appreciated having an outdoor area to rinse off after the beach. We wished the master bedroom would have been cooler for sleeping and the master bath sink had more water pressure.

In short this house was amazing. The property was very nice and the pool was a huge plus. Super close to the beach and had room for all of us. It had so many kitchen utensils and necessities. We cannot wait to stay again!!!
