Location and friendly reception staff on arrival and throughout our stay they could not do enough for my daughter and I . Made us feel very welcome.
Service level was not in line with a 5 star hotel Around the beach and the beach house restaurant . Had to ask many times for assistance and we only stayed one night .
The garden needed maintenance everything was over grown and needed cutting back and tidying .

Location Beach, the Breakfast and kids playrooms.
Very friendly and willing to help staff
Outdoors gardens needed a bit more attention and cleaning ie. The kids playground where the grass was not cut as expected.
Overall the hotel is good but rooms would require a bit of renovation..

Located on the south coast, this is a great hotel with some very friendly staff. The owner was there to greet us as it was the first day of the hotel being opened. One of the managers, Stavros, made sure he welcomed us with open arms on our first day there and took time to introduce himself and give us as much information as possible (even though he was new to the island himself). Out 8 year old took a shine to Stavros and was always on the look out for him so she could go and talk to him.
We had an upgraded room which had a pool in the back of the small garden area we had. This was perfect for keeping out little one entertained when we didn't want to go far from the room (it was a shame it wasn't heated).
The hotel had literally just had a bad storm and on the day we arrived, the staff were busy everywhere trying to repair damage to certain areas. Apparently golf ball sized hail came down and caused a lot of problems island wide.
We were there for a wedding on the beach that took place on the hotel beach. It was beautiful and the hotel and staff did a great job of catering for everyone.
The breakfast buffet was superb. Plenty of cooked and continental options available (even pancakes).
There were some great eating options nearby. Our favourite was about a 5 minute walk down a road that looked like it went nowhere. It was called Taverna Maistrali. Although there were others to choose from, we kept coming back. It's a family run business where mum (the chef) would come out to personally say hello. You even got her homemade cake free of charge after your meal.
There is a bus stop 30 seconds from the hotel but depending on when you visit Skiathos, will depend on when the bus comes. It nearly impossible to figure out. And when it does come, it might be full. Fear not, some taxi's will stop and offer 10 euros to town. If you fill it, it's about the same as a bus fare. Normally 20 euro in a taxi if you book it.
A few issues arose which didn't spoil the holiday but left a sour taste.
Hot water wasn't getting to our room (as well as others). We were told to let it run but after 15 minutes, mildly warm water was coming through. Apparently there was a heating fault that was being looked into. By day 4, we got hot water.
The heating in the room didn't work. Again, we were told this was a fault and the hotel would bring blankets. It's probably not something that is normally needed but we arrived to some sunshine but mostly cloudy and windy with temperatures around 14 degrees. In the day it was warmer outside than in the room which I'm sure is lovely if it's hot outside. Nothing was fixed before we left so had to warm the room each night with a hair dryer.
On arrival we were told we had the evening meal package. We double checked as that not what we booked and this was confirmed to us but after the first evening meal, we were handed a bill to sign for in the morning. We enquired about it at the front desk to be told we were wrong and that we were never told we had the evening meal. We had thought as part of the wedding party, this may have been some sort of upgrade but it wasn't. The lady at the front desk was very rude to my wife and that's the part which didn't help with the scoring. I was there when we checked in and I remember clearly what was said. Anyway, apart from having to pay for that first meal, we found plenty of other places nearby to eat (as described in the section about what we liked).
In short, only a few things that were an issue but felt could have been handled a bit better being a 5 star hotel. If it was a UK 5 star hotel it would have been a different story I think.
I would still recommend staying here though.

Breakfast was great. Everything you could have wanted. Nice surroundings.
Tea and coffee not replenished. Coffee cups never washed or replaced. Not a great deal if hangers. Bathrooms dated and shower screen did not have sealant on bottom so leaked all over bathroom

Location was good. We liked the beach, one of the best beaches on the island i would say.
Not clean. The food was very expensive, recommend to go across the street to nice local resurants,. We booked a private pool that was to cold to swim in - so waist of money

The beach was beautiful with a great bar restaurant. The room was large with a super comfortable bed and a balcony. Wine and fruit on arrival. Reception and event manager were super helpful with organising all our desires. A really family friendly resort and perfect for multi generation holidays.
It was exactly what you would expect for a resort style vacation.
6.0
the beach and location
very very dated rooms, two single beds pushed together as a double, soulless atmosphere, dusty / poorly cleaned, rooms noisy, poor buffet with substandard ingredients

Location, staff/service, concierge and reception service were first class, beach restaurant and bar were lovely too. Rooms were comfortable, but could do with se modernisation. Sea was really lovely and beach watersports offering very good.
Gym - bad and failing equipment. Pool was fine, but very busy and nor enough staff to manage the area or pool bar/restaurant (those there were very good though). There is so much space at the hotel it would have been good to have a fully fledged spa (with adult pool) and spa facilities and a proper gym

the location is really good on a long stretch of beach with shops and restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop nearby which goes into Skiathos town.
This is not a 5 star resort and it was expensive for the standard of accommodation and facilities. The hotel is very tired and really needs an update. The breakfast is good but the dining room is seriously depressing and the manager gives the impression that he couldn’t care less as does the manager of the beach restaurant. The hotel seemed understaffed and the common parts are neglected. There is a limited beach service but it all needs an overhaul. Skiathos Princess needs to get it’s act together before it gets lost in time.

good location no need to worry about bed on the beach
asked to pay for additional coffee and water in the room

Not a five star hotel.
A good four star. Needs renovation

Quiet beach with comfy sun beds and nice beach bar and great tavernas nearby
More outside tables at breakfast would be great. For a large hotel there were only 6.

The private beach. Best one in the island.

A brilliant property for families; the staff was extremely helpful & the rooms were of generous size , comfortable beds & mattresses, large balconies. Outside the lawn was well kept, the beach was sandy with nice beds & umbrellas, whereas swimming pool had life guard supervising kids!

Loved the garden room amd the open spaces with grass. We traveled with a puppy so made it very easy. The taverna was delicious and the included breakfast was great too. Staff was mostly on top of things and friendly and helpful. All in all a very good experience. The location is great too. Close to town amd on a beautiful beach.
The pool bar was understaffed. The umbrellas where impossible to open and the girl working the bar was alone and you had to call her to open the umbrellas, you had to walk up to order coffee etc and nobody came around to collect trash and empty ashtrays etc.

The location on the beach with a bus stop to town on the doorstep.
Can't think of anything.

We had an amazing room with private pool. The staff was super friendly. Everybody adhered to COVID safety guidelines and we felt super safe. The breakfast was outstanding. There is bus stop just outside to get around but also free parking if you have your own vehicle.
WiFi only works reliably in the lobby.
