Location perfect. Quiet village with lovely walks - ebrington arms pub serve delicious food and was handy being so close.
Easy to reach larger towns and villages such as Broadway , Moreton-In-Marsh and Stow.
Negatives were that the
beds were very uncomfortable- have returned home and spent two days in bed with strained lower back.
We also found the kitchen wasn’t well equipped. One tea towel for four days and it would have been nice to have a small essentials hamper on arrival with milk .

Clean and well equipped property in a pretty village in the north east Cotswolds where we celebrated an 80th birthday.

The village of Ebrington has everything needed for a quiet, away from it all stay. An award winning pub next door, veggi matters cafe/farm shop/butchers within walking distance, walks, not too far from Chipping for swings etc for children and all the shops you could want.
Our stay at The Rowan.
The sitting room is spacious and held all 7 of us comfortably. If you have subscriptions to Netflix or Amazon Prime do remember to bring the passcodes!! Wifi in certain areas of the house very slow/poor.
A great pity that the cloakroom didn’t have a shower, this would make all the bedrooms workable. Also that there wasn’t a room that had twin beds for children in the group, doubles don’t work at all. The mattresses we found extremely uncomfortable, I slept on the floor the first night, the sofa on the second two nights. The pillows were not of good quality for the standard of the property. Invest in a good nights sleep for future occupants, would be a huge plus.
We found no instructions for either the TV or boiler at point of use, a house book (which we might have missed) in a prominent place, would be really useful. To know there is only one key for multiple families using the house would be useful too. The drill being to place the only key, back in the key box every time everyone left the house.
Having said the above, the rooms are all of a good size, as is the garden and makes a multi generational group (such as ours) very workable.
Bolthole Retreats have been excellent throughout and very responsive and helpful whenever needed. We were impressed with their friendly and helpful approach when we contacted them (about the heating and keys) even though it was a Sunday!

A beautiful property in a nice area but the cleaning was below standards. Could use a lick of paint. Blind broken, slow draining bath, cover below stove broken
.... And more, show that the property is not adequately maintained.

Lovely property in a quiet area overlooking farm land. Property was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. There’s a lovely pub a few minutes walk and Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water and other villages are within easy reach.
Garden was great for the dogs and the outdoor furniture was made use of in the dry weather. Garden is overlooked by other properties, we could hear the conversations of the house opposite which we’re having a large family gathering using the bbq and hot tub.

A perfect family house for a 70th Birthday celebratory weekend getaway in a lovely location. The local pub is within a few minutes walk from the house and the local village of Chipping Campden is just 10 mins drive. The local Vegetable Matters shop is a disappointment and so a drive to the better food shops and delis etc. is worth doing. Bedrooms in the house ideally placed and the spacious living room and kitchen were perfect for families to sit together. Wonderful break.

having spent a family xmas in Rowan House, we found it very nicely decorated for the season, furnished to a high standard, warm, with ample room for eight people and the kitchen and its contents allowed us to cook to a high standard. We enjoyed a very happy stay.

Outstanding experience staying at Rowan house from start to finish. The house is immaculate and very comfortable for 8 adults sharing amenities. House was spotless, great location next to outstanding gastro pub. Highlights: cleanliness, constant hot water, great kitchen and lounge
Room for improvement: Poor wifi, showers a little on the snug side for a larger person.
We will definitely be booking another stay here next year :-)

It was a family celebration my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary and it was a great location, spacious property for 8 adults. Walking distance to the pub can only be a bonus, fantastic Sunday lunch, nice staff. Definitely would come back when the weather is better!!

House was in a great location and was very pleasant. Plenty of space and cosy feel. Booking was easy and would definitely recommend. Thank you very much!

We enjoyed our stay at Rowan House. The location was great for a quiet get away with easy access to attractions in the Cotswolds. The home could use a coat of paint and the cobwebs cleaned out of the corners, but other than it was a clean and comfortable home.
One thing to note: the first floor bedrooms do not have king sized beds. They are the same size as the beds downstairs and all appear to be queen sized.

We enjoyed our stay thank you,
It was clean and well equipped
The beds were a bit too soft and bouncy for us.
The location was great in the village

Excellent
We enjoyed a great few days in the cotswolds biding local villages and sights. What a wonderful modern property, spacious, light, and comfortable. Everything but a bread knife in the kitchen!
Would definitely recommend.

Excellent place to stay!
Really nice place to stay and we all had a great week here. The property has everything, really comfortable, great wifi (we had to do a bit of work whilst here!) everything worked well, lovely seated area outside (when the weather allowed) and v well located for seeing the Cotswolds.
Farm shop and cafe just down the road was a big hit too.

Very Nice Property
Rowan House is a lovely property in a good location for exploring the Cotswolds.
The bedrooms, dining kitchen and lounge are of a good size, and the property is well equipped with pretty much everything you need for a self catering stay.
The garden is fully enclosed with patio furniture and cushions provided.

Nice stay
Pretty newly built property in small village with great pub, local farm shops selling excellent vegetables and local meat. Beds comfortable and generally well appointed property however the house is not cleaned well and certainly not a COVID clean as stated.

Lovely house
We had a week here in this fabulous new house and great fun exploring the Cotswolds (definitely need a car as very quiet location.) Really nice finish/fittings and super comfy beds. We took our dog and the garden is 100% enclosed and secure. Had a couple of questions for Hannah and she was really quick to respond and help out. Had hoped to eat at the Ebrington Arms which is just behind the property but sadly a bit too fancy and expensive for us as a large family, but we did enjoy drinks there a couple of times. Lots of information and recommendations in the property suggesting places to visit and pubs/restaurants to try. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A beautiful well equipped house finished to a high standard.
A beautiful well equipped house finished to a high standard. Basic toiletries supplied in all bathrooms/toilets and starter basics in kitchen were very helpful. Kitchen has plenty of cutlery & crockery but a measuring jug & weighing scales would be handy if not planning to eat out. Enclosed garden was perfect for our toddler grandson, although would suggest clearing small stones from around patio area, as his favourite game was "posting" these into the tracking for the bifold door. Not an easy job to clear (property is advertised as child friendly). Very tranquil area and well positioned for accessing Cotswold beauty spots. The nearby farm shop sells good quality local fruit, veg and meat. We would happily stay at this location again and recommend to others.

We chose this house for a short stay with close family in celebration of our Dad's 90th Birthday. It was perfect for Dad as he used one of the downstairs bedrooms. The house was lovely - clean, spacious, well-equipped and had a lovely outdoor seating area. We could easily park two large cars at the front of the property. Whilst there we had a lovely dinner at the Ebrington Arms, which is just a very short walk from the house.

Excellent property brand new
Fantastic very high spec property in great location near Chipping Campden.
Had a great stay in beautiful surroundings inc. dog friendly and nice outdoor space.
Couple of points TV needs a free box as only works on I player and Netflix, no live tv and wireless can’t handle ITV hub( only relevant as Euros was on), also need a grill pan.

Beautiful property
This property completely beat our expectations, lovely property surrounded by beautiful scenery. After finding the property we were able to fit four cars onto the drive (this was a squeeze but all did fit) and all the rooms were very cosy and open. The garden and living area were huge highlights as the bifold doors meant we could open everything up. We were also very lucky with the weather and stayed in the garden for most of our trip. Be careful of the mats inside cause they are very slippery! The low walls from the garden meant we were still able to get a breeze however did mean anyone could look in. This was not a problem for us but worth bearing in mind if you want more privacy. Would also recommend bringing more coffee pods if you do like coffee as from the 8 pods that are advertised as available, 4 of these were just milk pods.
Overall I would highly recommend this stay and will definitely look to return in the future!!
