10 of us all enjoyed a wonderful week here. Superb for a large group with plenty of space for all ages. We particularly enjoyed table tennis in the games room.

Cottage was great for our needs and kitchen is very well equipped for self-catering.
Footpaths a plenty from the door with lovely 5/10 minute walk to the bakery in a morning.
Would say parking is more for 4 cars & it’s both the bedroom and bathroom in the top floor that have restricted headroom.
Cotswolds Hideaways not so helpful with a query beforehand but housekeeper very helpful when contacted directly.

Spacious, clean, well equipped house in ideal location. Efficient and helpful letting agents. The only suggestion is to have separate bins for recycling.
Thank you.

We had a great stay, cottage was perfect and the location suited us really well. however the grass was really long which stopped us being able to use the garden for any games etc. Also when we arrived the recycling bins were full up from the previous guests which made it difficult for us to place any of our recycling there. One of the sofa legs (2 seater chair) were broken. Cottage was extremely well equipped and we really appreciated the early check in .

Millstone Cottage is a lovely property just a short walk from the busy centre of Bourton on the Water. It was spotless on arrival and provided very ideal accommodation for our group. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as was the lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped, providing everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

We were a party of 7 school friends having an annual reunion. It's our second visit and was just as enjoyable the second time around! Many thanks.

Really enjoyable stay in a fabulous cottage which was spacious (there was 11 of us), immaculate and warm. Very well equipped kitchen, kids loved the snug and games cupboard, as well as the table tennis in the garage! Bourton on the Water has a lot to offer, pubs, cafes, shops and tourist attractions. We had a great time, loved the house, and hope to return!!

A most enjoyable wend stay at Milestone Cottage for my Dad's 80th birthday. The house in terms of location, accomodation and facilities were superb. Plenty of parking space for our cars. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need. Enjoyed the open fire in the evening. Would recommend.

This is a lovely house, well presented and well equiped. Easy to operate range lovely social kitchen. Bathrooms and showers a-plenty and good quality. Great amount of information regarding restaurants etc. We were a mixed age group children loved the table tennis in the garage. Most of all it's proximity to town. Lovely break, thanks for the cake !!!

The property is in an amazing location got the village and surrounding area.
This was our 3rd visit to Millstone. Sadly we have found on each visit the property has deteriorated and not maintained to a very good standard.
Two of the bedrooms had black mould on the walls near the windows which looked like it had been there for some time. We found dirty plates and cutlery in the drawers and cupboards and general standards of cleaning to be low. The property needs a deep clean and freshening up.
Sadly we will not be booking to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay, great position for walking into Bourton-on-the-Water. Our only issue was the dishwasher which did not clean properly, even after cleaning the filters.

+ Great location, close to walk into Bourton-on-the-Water village, yet far enough away not to be effected by noise.
+ Large kitchen/dining room and lounge
+ Wi-Fi (available throughout the property) Audio and TV facilities.
+ All bathrooms of a good size
+ Garden was a generous size and due to hedges/trees etc. it felt quite private and not overlooked by neighbours. Plenty of outside seating.
- Driveway is suitable for 2 medium sized vehicles to then enable accessible entry to and exit from.
- Lack of wardrobe space.
- Oven door seal/catch needs replacing as worn and so didn’t close fully.

Excellent base for our family of 11 + dog (delighted owners happy for us to take dog)
Millstone Cottage is ideally situated for a Cotswold stay.
Six well appointed bedrooms, lovely large kitchen-diner. And a lovely snug/games room for adults or kids, depending on who takes ownership first
We’d definitely return.

We were delighted with Millstone Cottage. Its comfort, facilities and equipment were excellent. Everything had been thought off to make a great stay, and the owners were very helpful.
The location was also ideal, very close to the centre of the village, and with a pub on the way!
Added to this, the value for money for a large six bedroom property was a beyond expectations.
We would definitely return to this excellent house in possibly the most beautiful village in the UK.

After a certain age a comfortable bed gets to be very important and everyone slept well at Millstone Cottage so no one was cranky at breakfast.
The kids loved the ping pong table, the dog loved the garden, the family enjoyed the variety of spaces available from communal kitchen meals to quiet snug getaways.
A few of the amenities need a bit of tlc - mostly wear and tear on bathroom fittings, the oven does need replacing though.
Overall I'd say it was 4.5 stars up to 5 once the maintenance is done.

Such a pity as its a lovely house .

We came to Millstone Cottage for a family reunion and there was plenty room for all of us. The cottage was just a 10 minute walk from Bourton on the Water village and we enjoyed a roast at the Mousetrap pub a few doors down. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of towels, glasses, mugs etc for everyone.

Millstone cottage is a wonderful place the stay, just a short walk to the village. We went to bird land, the model village and used the pubs and restaurants during our short stay. The cottage accommodated. Nan, grandad two mums and dads an adult daughter three grandsons and one granddaughter. Eleven of us could have breakfast together at the same time. Out for the days in the lovely village and attractions. The evenings were great playing games together in very comfortable surroundings. I can highly recommend Millstone cottage in Bourton on the water. Loved it. Robert Abraham Southampton. It was for my 70th birthday. I feel younger now!!

Four friends who trained together as nurses some 40+ years ago, spending some quality time together and Millstone cottage provided everything we had hoped for; very comfortable, well equipped, fantastic sociable kitchen, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and a short stroll to the fab and friendly shops, cafés and restaurants. All in the gorgeous village of Bourton-on-the-Water. My West Highland Terrier enjoyed it too, especially the good sized garden. Although we had horrible weather, it made snuggling up on the sofas in front of the log burner all the more special.
We’ll be back, we are sure!

Millstone cottage was spacious, warm and comfortable situated on the edge of Bourton on the Water. We had a lovely family celebration for a golden wedding anniversary and would recommend this cottage. We hope to come again one day

Rented the cottage for a special birthday weekend with all the family (8 adults, 3 children and a dog). Cottage has a superb location in centre of Bourton on the Water, where there are lots of attractions and activities within walking distance. Good facilities and high standard of accommodation, including table tennis in the garage. The comfortable lounge was a useful feature and the large kitchen enabled us all to eat together. Found a problem with the central heating (fine downstairs but radiators upstairs not working (problem with low pressure on boiler?) - didn't report at time (instructions emphasised only to report problems in an emergency and it wasn't too cold that weekend), but did leave a note for the housekeeper. Also surprised that we were expected to strip beds on leaving - thought this should have been included bearing in mind the cost of hiring the cottage.

Overall a lovely stay with family
1st issues with no hot water and then heating blasting out on hottest day in August. Fixed quickly with a local Plumer on call.
Main issue is the refuge left by previous guests.
Garage full of bags with recycling where ping pong table is.
Outside bins overflowing rubbish. There needs to be a clear sign with regard to bin days and the responsibility of guests to ensure rubbish is put out for collection

Highly recommended
As a family group of 7 adults and 2 dogs we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. Millstone Cottage is in good location and was a 5 minute walk in to the town centre. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need and unlike some holiday cottages we’ve stayed at it had more than enough seating for us all to sit in both the lounge and around the kitchen table comfortably. It had a really good selection of games and books to entertain. It was exceptionally clean. The bedrooms were all a good size with plenty of storage and hangers. There was a BBQ and again plenty of seating for everyone. Loved the table tennis in the garage and we played every day !

Our family total of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cottage was so convenient to Bourbon-on-Water.

Easy to book and Easy fund raising got a donation for my charity.
We were delighted with the standard of equipment and furnishings on the whole, but we thought it would be good to have a chair or two in the bedrooms and the bathroom as there was nowhere to put your clothes when in the shower, for example. Some would have liked a wardrobe, but it is hard to see where one might put a wardrobe. Perhaps a few more hooks and hangers would suffice.

Great location a little tired
Millstone cottage is in a great location, a easy walk into Bourton. We were 6 adults, 3 children and an infant. Plenty of room for us and 3 cars. The cottage was clean but a little tired in places. The kitchen was a little small for the number of people but there were plenty of plates, cutlery etc and a more than adequate dining table. We were only there for 3 nights and didn’t need to cook thankfully as the cooking equipment looked rather worn. However we enjoyed our time there.

Excellent time at Millstone Cottage.
We had an excellent time at Millstone Cottage. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the showers excellent. The sitting room is a delight. Plenty of parking and only a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the Water. Only slight negative was the dishwasher which had not been cleaned since the last occupants as we found food at the bottom. Probably just an oversight. Other cleanliness was excellent. Overall a great time. Thank you

Delightful cottage in perfect setting
A gorgeous cottage, really well equipped & exceptionally clean. It had everything we could possibly need especially in the lovely kitchen. Comfortable beds, soft towels & plenty of hot water. Sadly we couldn't make much use of the garden due to the weather & being at a family wedding for much of the time but did use the table tennis table. Perfect location within an easy walk of the centre of the village which had excellent shops, cafes & pubs. Definitely worth another visit in the future.

Superb quiet accommodation in Bourton-in-the-Water
Bourton rightly attracts many visitors who enjoys its beautiful stream, open green spaces, museums and cafés, shops and ice cream outlets. On busy days it can be quite hectic but adorable nonetheless. To be able to retreat from this via a short walk along the Windrush to this property was delightful. Spacious and well-equipped it easily accommodated our family get-together of 10 persons. At no time did we feel cramped. The kitchen-dining room and lounge were enormous. We cooked dinner there twice using the oven and hob without any difficulty and were also able to lunch outside twice at the tables provided and to sit on the spacious lawn in this quiet oasis. One of us brought a dog who had a large area to explore. We did long circular walks north up to the Slaughters and also south to Little Rissington. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Mousetrap pub; do book! Thoroughly recommend this. We ‘book-ended’ this long weekend with walks at Sezincote and Blenheim. In short, this property was perfect for us. It also provided parking for five cars.

Excellent accommodation for family get together
This was so beautifully located. Parked cars and walked into Bourton.
Large house- six bedrooms gave us flexibility and the receptions also gave children playroom.
Seating for family of nine round kitchen table for meals all together and the garden was safe and large for children ( and dog) to play in.
Would recommend this beautiful clean spacious property. Couldn’t find any faults!!

Family celebration
Great location so you can come and go as you please, we were a group of 9 adults so plenty to keep everyone happy. Property clean and spacious. Enjoyed many local restaurants in the village (the mousetrap only yards away ) excellent food. Beautiful walking along the back street pathway along the river and purchasing freshly baked croissants for breakfast. Walked to the Slaughters was another car free day. Will definitely return in the future.
