Enjoy a relaxing stay on the water. Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with everything from new appliances and furniture to small luxuries such as board games, DVDs, gas grill, 2 kayaks, 2 bikes, inflatable kayak, and outdoor games for your enjoyment. The property has a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains and is only a short 15 to 20 minute drive to Clemson University. Maybe you would like a mountain day trip to visit some local waterfalls or hit the trails, either skiing or off-roading, don't forget some shopping...endless possibilities. Walking distance from South Cove park where you can play tennis, pickleball, basketball, and use the boat ramp.

The property was great! Communication was the best we’ve ever had! A lovely stay! We would highly recommend staying at the Pirate’s Retreat !! The only suggestion is that there could be more table lamps (bedrooms and living room) - very minor !!

Wonderful property on a beautiful piece of land. Hope to come again next year but for a bit longer stay. Very clean, well stocked, and convenient with how they set up checkin.

We woke up to sunrises, relaxed on the deck, and enjoyed walking through the county park. House is set up nicely for family and friends to enjoy lake life. Susan is an excellent communicator.

We stayed at the Pirates Retreat with friends for a long weekend with a Clemson football game. The location on the lake is awesome and the house was super clean and well equipped. There was always some kind of competition going on between the teenagers and adults ;) We would love to come back and hope to take advantage of the kayaks next time. Definitely a 5 star stay !

One of the best VRBO stays we have had. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. Enjoyed backyard, fire pit, and the view. You can tell they put a lot of thought into making your stay enjoyable. Communication was excellent too. We will definitely stay here again.

We spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend while celebrating our Clemson daughter’s ring ceremony. The house was exactly as described. So clean and bright with a wonderful wall of windows facing the lake. The family room was larger than we expected and very comfortable. Communication with Susan was easy, and she was quick to respond to some questions I had. We really enjoyed the kayaks and the lift/rack you have made it so easy to use and stow them versus lugging them to the lake from a garage. I highly recommend this property.

Stayed at the Pirates Retreat for a Clemson Football weekend. The house and amenities were amazing. We all had a blast. The kids loved the game room and fishing on the pier. Would definitely stay here again and hope to make use of the kayaks next time.

We take a lake vacation every year with our adult children and this was, by far, the best vacation and setting we’ve visited thus far. It was idyllic. The house sits on a wide cove with a tree covered campground across the cove( so nice not to be looking at other docks and houses.) The lake was clear and the yard gently sloping down to the dock. We swam from the dock, kayaked ( owner supplied) and paddle boarded all over the place. We had delicious meals from the grill and enjoyed the fans on the covered porch. The game room was a blast. We played foos ball, basketball and Tripoli. There is even an extra refrigerator in the game room. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Communication with the owner was prompt and courteous. This will not be our only trip to Pirates Retreat! Thank you for a great vacation!

Property was so clean, updated, and had all the comforts of home. We had an amazing weekend! The water was so clear and clean, off the front of the dock is about 10ft deep so it’s deep enough for a good diving contest without scooping up the bottom! We rented a boat from the Keowee Marina conveniently located nearby. Adults and teens had a blast and we left our high score of 450 on the double shot hoop! So much fun and we will for sure be back!

Five stars for good reason! SUPER CLEAN when we arrived. Everything was as good as it looked online. Perfect place for us to spend 3 days together. Susan's communication was exceptional and you can tell the hosts are focused on maximizing the guest experience. Can't wait to go back!

The lakefront house was impeccably furnished and in a great location. We really enjoyed the dock and the playroom. The house had everything we needed.

The home was exactly as photographed and described. Our kids absolutely loved the game room and the big living room. We spent tons of time fishing off the dock, floating around the dock, playing cornhole and roasting marshmallows. The home is everything a mom with two young kids could want. Clean, comfortable, convenient and entertaining! We plan to go again next year:)

Susan, the lake house was perfect! My friend brought his boat and we launched it with ease at South Cove Park. The doc was perfect. The birthday party was great. We had about 21 come visit during the day. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the house was great. Plenty of room. Loved the lake house decor. We will definitely keep you in mind for future lake trips. You have been a great host! Take care

We absolutely loved our stay at Pirate’s Cove. The location on the lake is great for children because it’s tucked away in a quiet cove. The house was clean and well stocked. The kids also loved the game room. Another plus was how close it is to south cove park, which we enjoyed the tennis & pickle ball courts. (Which they also have racquets at the house!) over all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pirate's Retreat was the perfect property for our vacation. A quiet cove, but not isolated from all the fun. Two adults and an 8 year old. Swimming and fishing off the dock, and riding around in the kayaks kept our son completely entertained for our trip. The home's theme and decorations were great. The house was very clean, and well stocked (in case you forgot something). The gameroom and boardgames at the house made for some fun times when the weather wasn't great. The host was awsome. She quickly responded to all of my questions and helped to make our visit very relaxing. We took lots of pictures, but we will be back to make more memories.

What a wonderful weekend we spent at this property. Kayaking at sunrise and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the back deck were highlights for us. The game room was a hit with the kids as well. Susan was attentive and thoughtful prior to and throughout our stay. We'll be back.

Excellent waterfront property that is perfectly appointed and located on a deep water cove. House is very clean with modern amenities. Views are fantastic. The neighborhood is peaceful and easily accessible. Hosts are great people and a pleasure to work with. This is a five+ star property.

This home was just that... a home. All the details made our time there so much fun. From the fun game room to extra freezer in the laundry room. The outdoor space was amazing and so relaxing. The rooms were beautifully decorated... and that view! Just a great trip all around.

This is a great property on the lake with amazing views , bikes, kayaks, lake floating toys , fire pit, comfortable beds, close to Seneca and Clemson .All kitchen stuff , towels etc included along with a very sweet host! Will definitely stay again !

My family had a wonderful stay! Everything was extremely clean and organized. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, kayaking, swimming in the lake, fishing, playing in the game room. This is the perfect lake retreat. 20 min to Clemson and within 30 min of hiking trails/waterfalls. The whole family had a great time and we will definitely be back.

We fell in love with pirates retreat. The open floor plan was amazing. Close to town and the park. They had everything we needed on site. Very friendly, fast responses, and overall great experience. The views of the water when you wake up are breathtaking. We will remember this place for our future rentals.

Loved staying at the Pirate’s Retreat for my birthday weekend with friends. The hosts gave me some of my favorite wine and the house was nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the dock and the floats to just enjoy the water. I hope to return soon! Thanks!

The accommodations were awesome. Great location, fun house with lots of toys, game room, beautiful view from the master bedroom, kitchen and living room. Decks and outside dining table with comfortable seating and lake view. We had a wonderful time.

This property was perfect for our families long weekend getaway. Great access to South Cove and the boat ramp. In a quiet cove that is very peaceful all day long. Super clean house, which we appreciate and there was nothing we looked for that we couldn’t find. We are just about every meal there and the kitchen was very well stocked. We would love to return for our next lake trip!
