Stunning hotel in THE best location in beautiful Taormina! Full of historic charm , sympathetically modernised by Four Seasons.

Not only is this property absolutely beautiful, it has a rich history that has been well preserved. It would be difficult to find a more luxurious, comfortable property. We will absolutely return one day.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Wow wow on all levels.
Need more lunch options around the pool

Exceptional ambience and attention to all the small details that make the difference. Incredibly attentive staff, wonderful setting, and magnificent hospitality
Bedroom faced hotel entrance and approach road, with great views of Etna, but was woken up very early (2X) by lorry unloading and other logistics.

Staying at The Four Seasons is a next level experience from the attentive service of the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms and amazing food and design throughout the hotel. The property itself is unlike any other I’ve been to. They transformed a historic landmark in a quieter area of Taormina into a beautiful escape, with perfectly manicured courtyard gardens and expertly decorated ballrooms. You could spend hours just walking around the property and enjoying the peace and tranquillity. The property is just a minute or two walk away from the excitement of the city, unlike other luxury hotels in the area, the four seasons is away from any super tourist heavy areas. The staff went above and beyond and helping us reserve restaurant reservations and transportation. We will definitely be returning. Last thing, the pool is one of the best I have ever been to.

Breakfast served on either the balcony overlooking the ocean and Mt. Etna is really spectacular as well as the lovely formal dining room, is just heavenly.

I visited here for over 20 years prior to the Four seasons taking over. it still has its originality charm and character- but maybe lacks warmth being a corporate hotel
as above and pool closes 6pm staff start to prepare - I don’t believe this is comfortable and right.

Exceptional service and a beautiful hotel. The team was supper attentive and happy to assist with everything. Room was very clean and the shower and bathroom are great. Bed is very comfortable with the best sheets!!! Have to find to buy! Best sheets ever. Breakfast is great with nice selection of food and great service. The view, the gardens simply jaw dropping gorgeous! Lovely entertainment in the courtyard after dinner. Simply beautiful, luxurious and AA+++ experience. Already booked for next year!
our room was tinny-tiny, but its an old monastery, so its to be expected. Its not preventing us from coming back.
We enjoy a cocktail before heading out to dinner. and the drinks are tinny-tiny as well. Don't get me wrong, we are not huge drinkers. A standard martini is about 6 oz. These we maybe 3oz and cost 28EU.

staff were professional and provided excellent service.
the wine list was not comprehensive, by the glass mostly Italian wines.
television did not have what was advertised by the Hotel on the website.
there always seemed to be people in my room either repairing things, delivering items which could easily be provided in the room initially, or overly servicing.

Have travelled extensively for both work and pleasure - this is the best hotel we have stayed in, anywhere in the world.
The staff are absolutely exceptional- professional, consistent and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done to the highest standard. A special mention to Denise who was a very special host.
The hotel itself is remarkable. Historic and painstakingly restored- the perfect balance between old and new. Some parts of the hotel feel like you are in a museum. The court yard next to reception is charming and a place we really enjoyed having an evening drink in after the stunning pool and before dinner.
We also thought the food at Massimo Manttaro’s restaurant was the best we ate at in Sicily (far better than up the road at the Belmond).
An exceptional stay in every respect, words don’t do it justice.
The hotel is expensive… but we left feeling like it was worth every cent.

Amazing property, beautiful location, incredible attention to each and every detail.
It is really hard to find something that you don’t like about this amazing ex monastery, turned into probably the most luxurious Four Seasons hotel

San Domenico’s location is exceptional. An old monastery in the heart of Taormina with an absolutely stunning view of both Smokey Mt. Etna and 2 beautiful sun-kissed bays with the postcard like composition of yachts and boats. Yes it’s pricey but you’ll forget that the moment you’re in the experienced and graceful hands of the mostly local staff. “No” is never an answer and the amenities live up to and over deliver your expectations. Two great restaurants and terraces to your disposal at the hotel in addition to the already abundant presence of Michelin listed and local mom and pop style Italian restaurants within walking distance. Affiliations with beach clubs make a trip down to the bay very easy albeit with a taxi. Allround it’s worth every penny. I’ve been to quite a few Four seasons hotels and never do they disappoint but this is something else! I have to mention it’s also brand new, so the shine is extra present. loved every second of our stay.
Not a lot to mention here. Yes it’s pricey and therefore unfortunately not for everyone. but even just for 2 days, it’s worth it and unforgettable. We didn’t not have a sea view suite due to it’s price and we didn’t feel we missed out too much. Views galore in the garden and pool area. Pricing can be a hurdle so I guess that makes for a lesser liked aspect but it’s debatable what luxury at this level can and should cost in general.

Staff were amazing.
Loved everything.

The room and the building were lovely. The cleanliness was very very good and they had lovely little touches with the turn down serivce. The swimming pool area was busy and buzzers were given to request food and drink but were rarely answered. The pool restaurant and bar was lovely and food was very good. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel has wonderful views.
The service at the pool and breakfast was very friendly, but slow. On check out our bill was wrong and included an extra meal which took some deciphering.

Of all the top end hotels we have stayed in the world, this newly renovated hotel must rank among the top. The design blends seamlessly modern and the old with meticulous attention to details. The location is simply stunning right on top of a cliff over looking the ocean within a few minutes work to the Main Street. Taormina is on par with Santorini in terms of touristic attraction.
The service is outstanding. We particularly like to highlight Rosario, Stefano and Marco who seem really enjoy their work. Well done to them and their team.
If budget is not an issue I would highly recommend this exceptionally elegant hotel in all aspects.

The level of care and effort put into making our stay memorable and worthwhile was impressive. Among others, special thanks to Irene and her two amazing fellow colleagues from Principe Cerami and Adriano from breakfast for the enormous levels of personal service during our stay. We’ll forever be craving for more of pastry chef Vicenzo’s dessert masterpieces like the white chocolate peanut which was just unbelievably creative and delicious! The biggest hats off goes to Francesco for an impeccable hospitality and leading the way to create an impression that will stay with us for a lifetime!
