Although small, the cabin is very well laid out & has everything you need for a nice, comfortable stay. Very quiet at night, which is important to me. Very short walk to the Wild Pacific Trail, which is not to be missed. (My only suggestion is to install an electrical outlet on the right side of the bed so a cell phone or other electrical device can be plugged in without having to get out of bed to do it).

All around a great couple of days. Lovely cabins. Tried to extend our stay, but unfortunately for us the cabins were fully booked. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful cabin with a cozy aesthetic, built for privacy. A great place to stay on the island.

The host was reluctant to share information about how to get into the property in advance. We also needed a few more spots to put our belongings. Hooks etc… These were the only issues with an otherwise lovely property.

This holiday was very peaceful for us. We spent some time in the semi private hot tub with some quiet music and didn’t get any complaints. Overall was a nice stay and a beautiful little cabin.

We had a wonderful time using this little cabin as a home base while we explored the Pacific Rim. It was an easy walk to many trails and beaches, and a very comfy bed to come back to after days of hiking, wind and waves.
The small kitchen was well equip for little breakfasts and the sheltered little deck was a lovely place to have a morning coffee. We noticed there was a barbecue but didn’t use it.
Check in and out was very easy. No hassle at all. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This cabin was incredible and was everything that you could ask for. The king size bed was very comfortable and the hot tub after a long day of surfing was just what the doctor ordered. Will be sure to be staying here again when we return to Ucluelet

Making a reservation and check-in was easy and seamless. The cabin was spotless and comfortable. It is located in the middle of Ucluelet, but is down a long drive and surrounded by trees so you feel like you are in the woods. Short walk to the beach. Lovely cabin.

We were in love with this cabin and Ucluelet! Stayed here 5 nights in August. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and out. Smells like cedar wood inside. Spacious! Definitely not cramped feeling around a large bed. You can walk into the main stretch of Ucluelet easily enough. Other than just feeling relaxed at this cabin these were 3 highlights:
The hottub was very nice, beautifully lit with string lights. Felt surreal hottub-ing in the rainforest.
Deer! A mom and her 2 young ones were grazing on berries when we walked back to the cabin.
Waking up in the morning and just sitting on the covered porch with coffee or tea was something I wish I could do every day for the rest of my life.
Would definitely stay here again!

This is a great little cottage to serve as a base to explore Pacific Rim NP from. The place was clean and comfortable, and as advertised. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

The cabin is exactly as advertised. It’s a beautiful little space that’s perfect for a couple. It’s super clean inside and had all of the amenities needed to have a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was lovely, the towel warmer was a nice touch, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the semi-private hot tub was awesome. There were 2 other couples staying in the 2 cabins beside us but we never had to share the hot tub and the cabins provided the perfect amount of privacy. The cabin is in a secluded and quiet area of town yet it was super close to the restaurants, beaches, and other attractions. Overall we were very impressed with the property. It is well-worth the price and we’ll definitely book with John next time we’re on the the island.

Peaceful location with great access to trails, beaches, and town. Cabin is wonderful and the kitchenette is well thought out. John was easy to communicate with.

Very clean w/ the exception of what looks like mold under the clear silicone in shower. The spa was listed at first as private, then shared between 2 cabins, then all 3 could use. While it was on property it was straight across from an older cabin that seemed to be used by an owner. Not private at all. Not inviting, did not use.
Location was perfect and nearby downtown. We booked months ago for a family reunion and learned about the fire 3 days before we arrived that they shut down highway 4 to Ucluelet. We contacted John the owner explaining that we wanted to cancel due to the road closure during our stay and our family had all cancelled and gotten refunds. He responded with a bypass road that only added 2 hours more to the drive. It was a gravel and dirt forestry road meant for essential travel only. We responded to John 4 more times explaining this and can we please have a refund. He said we need your business, see you soon.
4 nights cost us over $1800 and we couldn’t throw all that away. For safety reasons we couldn’t drive that road at night so we were forced to book a night in Nanaimo. We paid for 2 rooms for 1 night.
Many restaurants were closed or had limited hours. Many tours weren’t running. Gas stations were running out. We definitely didn’t get what we should have and are disappointed. If we had gotten a refund, we would of used this cabin at a later date but since John refused (locals were shocked he did this) we can not recommend supporting his VRBO.

Place was as described, clean, and had all amenities. The three other cabins are close but enough trees and privacy walls separate so no issues. Hot tub and outdoor shower are close. The location is great as you’re only a 5min walk from downtown and even closer to big beach and walking trails. Had a great stay!

This cabin in the woods is the perfect spot to explore the beauty of Ucluelet and Tofino. It is a gorgeous space that the owner, John, has carefully designed and decorated with incredible touches. The kitchen is well-equipped if you plan to do some cooking. The bed is extremely comfortable and the entire space is spotless. The cabin's location amongst tall trees provides a real sense of tranquility and privacy. The hot tub is a great addition and has its own outdoor shower.
Local restaurants, food trucks, grocery store and coffee shops are within walking distance. It is a 5 minute walk to one of the beaches as well as a coastal trail.
John was an outstanding host who answered any questions we had and who has put so much thought and care into his cabins. We would not hesitate to return to this one-of-a-kind rental. We are already recommending it to friends and family. Thank you, John!

The purpose of our trip was to relax and enjoy some quiet time, Johns cabin was the perfect location. Cabin 3 was so comfy and cozy. the king size bed was very comfortable to sleep on, and watch TV from. The TV viewing options were great, and log in information was handy. We brought all our food with us and found everything we needed to be able to cook and BBQ at the cabin. John was quick to respond when I messaged him with question. The area is quiet and set way back from the road. A very comfortable place to come back to after doing some exploring in the area. We will definitely stay here again when we are on a kid free holiday

Such a cute property. A little house tucked into the forest.
We took short walks to the ocean and for meals out. Take rain apparel with you and mittens and toques in the winter months.
Ucluelet is a gem.

We stayed at the #3 cabin for three nights as part of our coastal trip. Location was central to the activities we were doing and property was easy to locate. We really enjoyed the cabin, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we enjoyed having the kitchen unit. The hot tub was excellent after a day of hiking or kayaking. The forest setting was private in general. Location was near the Wild Pacific Trail by car or one could walk if they like. Would not hesitate to stay here again should we find ourselves in this beautiful community again in the future.

My wife and I have come to Ucluelet many times over the years but this is the first time we have stayed at the Fernbridge Cabins (#3). What a delight! The setting in the woods was beautiful and extremely quiet. It was a short walk to Big Beach and multiple trails in the area. The cabin was very well furnished, the king sized bed extremely comfortable, the hot tub both accessible and hot…. And despite other cabins in the compound being occupied, it was very private . We will definitely be back!

We had such a nice time. The cabin was in walking distance to town and a beautiful beach. The owner John was super friendly. He gave us our privacy but was open to chatting and giving us info. We loved our stay.
