The perfect peaceful retreat to enjoy the last days of summer. The house and location were the ideal spot for us to relax and reenergize for the fall ahead. Gary is an amazing host and we hope to return soon:)

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this first floor apartment home. The house itself is well maintained clean and has everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. Gary was quick to respond when we had a problem with the grill. The area is very special. No crowds, farms with fresh produce and nice beaches. We like to go to the beach to swim so we enjoyed South Shore Beach. It’s a little rocky but if you go to the end of the parking lot and walk onto the beach it gets sandier. There’s a great general store in Little Compton center called Wilber’s. You can get anything you need there from groceries to shoes! About a half hour ride away are some good restaurants worth traveling to-Back Eddy in Westport, MA, The Boat House in Tiverton. This is not a place for those who want to be near restaurants, stores or attractions. However, if you want to relax and leave the hustle and bustle behind this is the place to be!

I rented this property because of the handicap access. The owner was wonderful and very attentive. The first floor rental was very clean and totally updated with a master bedroom and bath and second bedroom and full bath. I highly recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful week in Little Compton. The cottage was beautifully located and such a cozy place to stay. The host Garry was very helpful and attentive to any requests. We are hoping to stay again next year. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed for a week in this newly renovated and accessible apartment. The apartment is very clean and comfortable; well stocked with towels, soaps, detergents, paper & cleaning products, etc.. Several beach chairs and beach cart are also available. The small harbor beach is a minute away, Lloyd’s beach an easy walk in about 5. Tappens beach is a 15 minute walk which takes you alongside a beautiful pond where swans and geese swim amongst lily pads and other native plants and flowers. The sunsets over the harbor are beautiful. Evening sea breezes make for comfortable sleep
The owner lives next door--Gary and his father are warm, friendly and more than helpful, providing my husband with additional ADA appliances to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Little Compton is a quiet, picturesque and mostly rural landscape; we would return to the area and would definitely rent from this wonderful family again.

Do not stay at this property! SAFETY CONCERN
I rented this entire home for family members who were attending my nearby wedding. On the night of the wedding, I put my phone away to enjoy the moment. It rained off and on for a few hours during the evening. Unbeknownst to me, at 3am in the morning a man who we believe to be the son of the man we rented from entered the home where my family members slept, he was shirtless and belligerent. He barged into a bedroom, accused them of destroying property and trespassing. One brother and his wife are 70, one brother is disabled and they were so terrified that they called the police. The man then pretended to have text messages from me in his phone stating that we were checking out and to file an issuance claim for damages. I had never texted with the owner - he apparently saved another phone number with my name as the contact.
When I checked my phone the next morning I had two messages through the VRBO app, one asking me if the windows were closed and then a second informing me that the floors were soaked and that we were no longer welcome. There was no damage. The entire incident was completely outrageous and illegal.

Modern and Clean
This wonderfully located two unit building was immaculately clean and fully and well equipped. The owner lives next door and is justifiably proud of his rental units. Sakonnet Point is a quiet fishing village in the amazingly picturesque town of Little Compton, R.I. If you are looking for night life this is not for you. If you want good beaches, fishing, antiqueing, and art galleries, this is place. Two thumbs up.

Beautiful, unique Sakonnet
I stayed for a week in this beautifully renovated and furnished apartment. One of 2 units in a house on the first floor. The furniture is all new and comfortable, the beds are great and very comfortable. The kitchen is easy to work in, but bring all your own foil, wraps, dish towels. Basic utensils but good knives, important for anyone who enjoys cooking. Bring body wash for showers. There are distant water views, but you can walk to a little beach in a minute. Calm and shallow, good for small children. Walk a little longer or drive to fabulous Lloyds beach. Warm water, Sandy bottom.
Owners friendly and responsive. All in all, a perfect rental.

Perfect harbor apartment
We stayed in the bottom floor of the two story apartment. It was very clean, and looked brand new. Only a few steps to the harbor, we walked down to the dock many times a day to use our boat. Gary Jr was incredibly helpful fixing our boat trailer. He even let us borrow his lobster pot so that we could have a lobster dinner for 4. Such a great stay. Such nice people.
