About this house rental
From the moment you walk into the lofty, light-filled entrance hall of this contemporary solar home, you know you’re in a beautifully appointed ocean-front house, where nearly every room boasts a commanding view of Martha’s Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, Buzzard’s Bay, Horseneck and Goosewing Beaches and Little Compton’s legendary Town Beach.
You’ll feel right at home cooking up meals simple or lavish in the eat-in kitchen, complete with stylish cookware and dishware, upgraded appliances and everything you need in one well-organized space. The kitchen opens onto an expansive multi-level deck with gas grill, dining and lounging furniture, equally suitable for lively entertaining or a quiet tete-a-tete, bird-watching, surfer watching, boat spotting or just taking in breathtaking 180-degree panoramic views.
With walls of glass, the living and dining rooms capture those same stunning views, connecting you to surrounding land and seascapes no matter where you are. An open floor plan, handsome hardwood floors, a massive stone fireplace with gas insert, modern whole-house HVAC systems and beachy furniture make these spaces equally comfortable and practical whether lounging or hosting.
The house boasts two master bedrooms with king be plus two queen bedrooms. The top floor king master bedroom is a true hideaway. With a soaring cathedral ceiling, private cantilevered deck for star gazing or solitude, unparalleled views and half-bath, it is a place to wake up gently with the rising sun or sleep late with the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks below. On the main floor, the Sea Shell master bedroom, adjacent to the main bathroom, features floor-to-ceiling operable windows for maximum light and views, king bed with Casper mattress and built-in closet. The cozy Sea Glass room also adjacent to the main bathroom features a queen bed. The upgraded full bath with 50's-themed decor is shared by the bedrooms.
Downstairs on the first floor, a large room with separate entrance opens to a natural pollinator area. A secluded path bisects the wildlife garden and leads to an outdoor fire-pot and seating area. Inside, the home office suite with more glorious views of the North Atlantic, features a convertible futon couch, queen bed, and full bathroom with double shower. With hi-speed Internet throughout the house, a working vacation at this location is always an option.
Getting to your private rock beach is easy with a convenient stairway leading to the water’s edge and featuring a landing, just big enough for two people to enjoy cocktails above the surf. And after dinner you can toast marshmallows with a campfire at the on the rocks.
In addition to wi-fi, the house comes complete with cable TV with streaming option. Sumptuous all-cotton linens, towels and beach towels are included in the rental price; each bed is appointed with multiple pillows, a cotton blanket and a down comforter and towels.
Inside the two-car garage you will find EV power for your electric vehicle. Linger in the garage to admire the fabulous murals painted by the original owner, Grandpa Beau Garreau.
This one-of-a-kind house is located a short walk to the Town Beach, biking distance to the charming Commons, Sakonnet Point and Sakonnet Lobster. Also nearby are Wishing Stone Farm Market, Walker’s farm market and eatery, Young’s nursery and roadside market. Lee’s Market, the locally owned gourmet supermarket in cozy Westport, is just up the road. On the weekends, no fewer than five farmers markets are open each spring and summer.

I loved waking up to the sunrise and ending the day with a walk on the neighborhood beach. This family home has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would love rebook.

Can’t beat the ocean view from this property. The owner was very responsive at check-in. Deck furniture is well worn, but the house is well suited for our family and is well stocked. Nice not to have to bring beach things - plenty of chairs, towels, toys, etc.

This is an authentic beach house with an amazing view. It is a perfect starting point for a walk or a bike ride. We appreciated the games and especially the boogie boards! The beds are comfortable. There is an outside shower with a view of the ocean! Air conditioning was appreciated on the few days it was necessary. The kitchen is small but extremely well-supplied including a spice rack!

The four of us really enjoyed the quiet setting and spectacular water views from this house. We found it to be in a very remote setting and we wished for closer shopping and at least a few possible daytime activities (we were there in winter sperhaps warmer weather offers activities).
In general, the furnishings were adequate with some items in need of updating and/or replacement. The gas fireplace is gorgeous and the mattresses were great.
The kitchen seating was not large enough for the 4 of us so we needed to eat in the larger, open space living/dining area.
If you're looking for crashing waves and walks in the sand at water's edge this is not the place for you. It is a rocky shoreline and since it is not set directly on the open Atlantic Ocean, there were no crashing waves.
Certainly this home is geared more toward rental in the warmer seasons.

This perfect house had everything we needed for a wonderful family Christmas! A kitchen with all the necessary tools, gas fireplace, comfy beds and the most amazing view of the ocean we’ve had in all our years of renting. Adrienne answered any messages right away and check in/out was simple. We can’t wait to come back again!

We had a great week by the water, sitting on the deck watching the waves roll in. The house was a nice set up for a one year old and the rest of the family. The yard was perfect for corn hole. The location was great with a short walk to South Shore Beach.

Such an amazing stay, yet again! Year after year the house gets better with more additions (new bathroom and grill), cleanliness and communication. My family and I are always thrilled to stay.

Unbeatable location, a short walk/drive from South Shore beach, with a dramatic cliffside view of the ocean, beach, and Martha's Vineyard in the distance. We had dinner every night on the lovely deck, conveniently located just off the kitchen (no steps!). The house is perfectly air-conditioned, a blessing during the hot summer weather. Can't wait to return!

Classic beach house with a beautiful view of the ocean. The kitchen has everything you need for gourmet cooking, including an alphabetized spice rack! You can sit on the deck and listen to the waves or watch the sun rise. This is a great place for walkers, runners and bikers. The beach is less than a mile away, as is a local farm stand that also sells delicious bread . Little Compton has a good general store, cheap bike rentals and a coffee cafe. We felt very fortunate to spend a week here.

Adrienne's rental is spacious, clean, well-stocked and ideally located. The view can't be beat. Our family enjoyed spending our weekend here for Easter, and we'd love to return some time. Adrienne was communicative, friendly and helpful.

My family and I fell in love with this house as soon as we stepped into the living room. The views are out of this world! We even saw dolphins two mornings in a row. There were lots of wonderful touches at the house too - like the nice fluffy towels! Adrienne was very quick with email replies and super helpful. We found the local area delightful. I highly recommend Art Cafe for coffee and the nicest staff. Groundswell for amazing croissants.

The owners provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. They were very responsive and accommodating. Since we stayed in December, we spent a lot of time indoors, preparing meals and and enjoying each other's company. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living area provides comfortable seating for 5. The LR, kitchen, and 3 of the 4 BRs have gorgeous views of the ocean. Puzzles and games are provided for down time entertainment. The area is ideal for long, pleasant walks.

This is our 4th year at this property and it never fails to impress. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and there's plenty of room to relax and enjoy the amazing views. The owners are always helpful and responsive. We noticed the nice updates that were made with the new floor upstairs, bedframes, and rugs. Already looking forward to next year!

family seaside retreat
We had such a fun and relaxing vacation. The kids loved boogie boarding at the beach, I loved morning yoga on the deck and my husband loved BBQing and evening cocktails on the deck. This beautiful home has something for everyone. The location and beach access is superb. I also loved biking on the miles and miles of farm and coast roads - 35 miles of riding and only one traffic light! The owner was accessible and responsive. We would absolutely come back again!

Family reunion/birthday celebration
The house and property were wonderful - perfect for our family - we had our two sons and their families for a 3 day stay. The house had everything for cooking meals, including baking a birthday cake! Adrienne was very communicative and promptly answered any questions we had. The lawn was terrific for family games and the town beach was minutes away. Everything exceeded our expectations - and I would highly recommend visiting if you want a low maintenance vacation in a beautiful setting. Thank you Adrienne.

Just What We Needed
I can't stress enough how wonderful this home was for our extended family of 7 ((2) couples, (1) 22 yr old, (1) 15 yr old, and an 8 month old). The kitchen is one of the most well equipped that we have encountered through VRBO. Everything in the home is labeled so we weren't constantly fumbling to find something. The view and yard space sold the place for us, but the home was so welcoming and we felt comfortable and at ease immediately.
The home is in a very residential area of RI, so it took a good 30 min for any outing we wanted to do, but we didn't mind that at all as our main goal was time together. The beach area is very close at just a lovely five minute walk, and there are also coffee shops and a market that are about 8 minutes away.
Adrienne's communication was fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate a second to book this home again. Thank you so much for helping us create some long lasting memories!

Wonderful getaway
Our family had a wonderful time at this property during Spring Break. My sons and I woke up every morning and enjoyed sunrise together. It was magical. The boys also loved riding bikes all over the neighborhood and to the beach. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-appointed kitchen and playing games in the afternoon as we enjoyed the sweeping views of the Atlantic. It was a quiet, restful, utterly beautiful retreat. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at this property, where the host treated us with graciousness and goodness from start to end. Perfect stay.

Early Thanksgiving Celebration and Peaceful Get-a-way
This get a way was everything we had hoped for. Adrienne was a pleasure to work with! Pure relaxation at this easy to live in property with views that are simply spectacular. The front lawn down to the water is large and great for activities. Everything worked out great and we built lasting memories with our grandson. Thank you Adrienne! We enjoyed every minute, even the storm!

Great house in great location
Adrienne’s house was perfect for our group, close to the beach, big backyard for kids and dogs, quiet area of the town. Would definitely recommend.

A great spot to relax
We really enjoyed our stay here. Quiet neighborhood. Walk to the beach. We brought kayaks and used them in ponds near the beach. When not doing an activity we spent most of our time out on the deck listening to and watching the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped for a rental. We cooked in most nights. One thing I would do differently at this time of year is to not bring vegetables. There are many farm stands in the immediate area. Lee's Market is great for groceries and Westport Seafood is outstanding. Adrienne (owner) and Tina (concierge) were very responsive at all times.

We have enjoyed this beautiful house and location for several years now and every year when we arrive, we sit on the back porch and marvel at our good fortune.

Great location!
This is the perfect location for a multi-generational family gathering. The proximity to the beach (and the local parking permit) makes it very attractive to parents of young children. The big lawn and sea breeze is wonderful for kite-flying, the decks for relaxation appealed to the grandparents, and the ocean views were wonderful.

family seaside retreat
We had a wonderful time in Little Compton. The view of the ocean and large deck meant that we ate all of our meals outside. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked which made the meals even better. The huge lawn had lots of space for the kids and our dog to run around. The beach was a bit of a walk (with little kids- not bad for adults) but a really short bike ride. The owner also supplied us with a beach pass for the car which we used to carry all the boogie boards. The beach was awesome, one of the best in the area for waves. We are avid cyclists and roads in the area were perfect, smooth, free of traffic and breathtaking views of ocean, marsh land and farms. The only downside was that the early summer had been really rainy so the lower level of the house was a bit musty. As a result, we chose not to use the downstairs bedroom. However that did not ruin our vacation and we would stay at the house again!

Heaven in Little Compton
No words can really describe how absolutely amazing this home is. Our mouths dropped to the ground the day we arrived when we saw the view..THE VIEW! It’s stunning and breathtaking and comforting. The house is so cozy and bright, everything is just as described in the listing. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, it’s just a wonderful home. Adrienne was wonderful to work with, and her local contact, Tina, really helped us when we locked ourselves out. I can’t wait to stay here again.
