It was nice, clean and staff friendly. Sound carries from room to room loudly.

Clean and modern. Staff was really polite and cordial.

It was a bit loud. Walls and floors were thin and you could hear a lot of neighbors noise. Internet was wicked slow.

Wonderful one night stay!

We only stayed for 1 night. Our room was ready at noon when we arrived!!! Great service, very friendly staff! Beautiful new hotel in a great location! Close to everything! Highly recommend m!

Great location - I would happily stay here again.

The location is fantastic - center Seward - you can walk anywhere else in the main area of town. Just a short walk to get to the water. Breakfast was good with many different options and the breakfast room is full of windows to see the town and water.

They do have guest laundry - which is great if you are traveling light - but no chairs to sit on while you wait for it to be done. We just sat on the ground, but my parents wouldn't have been able to do that.

Disappointing

It was new, modern, convenient.

Absolutely no sound proofing. We could hear everything in the surrounding rooms. There was noise all night and we got virtually no sleep. It was very expensive for being so cheaply constructed.

Great stay but very pricy.

After staying in cabins all week all over Alaska, it was nice to stay in a regular hotel. The food was good and the rooms were big, great, and clean. The location to all the activities couldn't be beat.

The price was extremely high. $400 a night was a lot for the stay.

Very good

Noisy very noisy. Could hear people in adjoining rooms late into the nights and when a wheeled suitcase was rolled in floor above it was horrible, like a train. I will never stay there again due to noise

This was a great place to explore from in Seward - would definitely return.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It felt like it was beyond the normal exchange of just getting someone checked in. The room and location of the hotel as also great. I was able to walk to the boat tour and lots of food options were nearby.

Gateway Hotel took amazing care of my party and I!

We were last minute searching for a hotel and Gateway Hotel caught my attention. I went ahead and booked online, and the process was very quick and easy. When we got there, it was a bit hard to find a good parking spot because the lot is a little small. However, that wasn’t a big deal. It was a very convenient location because my husband planned to fish right down the street. Upon checking in, the gentleman at the desk was very friendly and polite! He offered us a pull out bed at no charge, which I thought was so neat! We got our key cards and went to our room. It was very nice and clean, just a little smaller than what I had expected. The next morning, we got to witness such a gorgeous and breathtaking view of the sunrise! It was a great way to start the day. Breakfast was fine, I felt everything tasted a bit artificial, but it wasn’t terrible. Overall, my party and I enjoyed our stay. Gateway Hotel took great care of us and we will be back for sure! 😎

The place to stay when in Seward.

Super nice hotel. Definitely the one to stay at when in Seward! We wanted to stay a second night but it wasn’t available. This is the place to stay.

A clean comfortable place to stay in Seward.

Breakfast was great. A nice selection of cold and hot foods.

The decor was pretty spartan and looked more like a school cafeteria than a hotel.

Gateway met all of our needs and surpassed our expectations.

The family suite was perfect for grandparents traveling with “kids” and grandkids. Laundry facilities right down the hall were handy to dry out clothing several times during our short but rainy stay. Transportation was ample but we could walk to most destinations. Breakfast served our needs perfectly. Desk clerk was helpful. Appreciated the motel storing our luggage so we could explore Seward before check in.

It was a good place to stay in a great little town.

It was conveniently located, new, clean and had laundry facilities.

One person at the front desk was knowledgeable the other person was clueless. If you wanted service/information you had to wait for the person who knew what they were doing. It might have been a training situation.
