The location was Perfect - the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our stay.
3.2
The location and the staff were great!!
I know it is being updated, but the parking lot is full of bad bumps and potholes!!
3.2
The young women who checked us in was friendly and knowledgeable.
The picture that is being shown for the motel isn't finished yet. We stayed in a very old motel next to the new one. Our bathroom tub didn't drain while you took a shower. The coffee in the motel lobby didn't work well, no creamer or any other amenities. I wouldn't have been so surprised if the price we paid for three rooms would have been alot lower, based on accomodations. Don't show a picture of a motel you aren't able to stay in !!!

View from our room was the best!
It was very warm the day we arrived and no air conditioning in the room. Only heat. Management brought us two fans.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The inn is old and basic and our rooms were small, but good value. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again…and there is a newer section with a water view that was already booked.
a bit cramped in the older part
3.2
Price
coffee in the lobby nots in the room- had to go outside to the lobby to get; musty smell in the room

The location was good. The manager was very kind and did what she could for us. WiFi was decent. SmarTV worked well and we were able to access our YouTubeTV account.
The rooms were mildew smelling (we had to buy FeBreeze to be able to tolerate the rooms). There were no closets. There was no working fan in the bathroom. The beds were old and lumpy and uncomfortable. The carpet was gross and we didn’t walk without shoes. The lamp on the night stand on my side of the room was not plugged in and there was no outlet in which to insert the plug. There was no AC when the listing implied that there was AC. In my mom’s room, the night stands were TV trays.

to be honest it needs a little work.
the curtain over the glass doors looked like it had been cut in half and the other side of the curtain was long

good location

The location, also, I find motels very charming. I am not a snobby city girl who needs all the amenities - basic is fine with me. Having said that - read what I didn’t like.
The bathroom door would not close at all. …..the shower I took would go from very very hot water to ice cold water- I believe I screamed a couple times !
The tv kept buffering - I could not watch a program w/o it buffering several times -
I also think the parking spaces should be numbered to match your room number so as another “guest “ cannot park in front of your room and start their loud vehicle in the early a.m. and rudely awaken you-

Simple but clean. staff was very friendly and the location was good between harbor and downtown
was expensive for the time of season and location but I might not have my prices well calibrated.
3.2
The front desk staff was very nice and accomodating.the
The rooms are kind of small. I did not like that they do not have coffee maker in the room. We have to go to the office for that.
3.2
Morgan was friendly and upbeat. Toilet paper was good quality. Towels clean and newish.
Shower tile grossly mildewed. Shower head very low, more like a body spray height. Bathtub stained and chipped. Carpet badly stained. Room very small and cramped. Curtains didn’t close. Gap in door allowed bugs inside. Thin cracked, peeling walls. Very noisy. Ridiculously high price, same as luxury room in Anchorage.
3.2
Room wasn't completely clean. There was trash under the beds.
3.2
No breakfast. A Keurig in the lobby might work.
We were in the old motel, a tiny room with a worn out mattress, just one chair with barely room to sit.
The newer rooms in the building next door might be nice, but we paid top dollar for the bottom rung.
3.2
The view from the room is awesome.
The amenities were practically non existent: no bathing soap provided (only hand soap); no hair dryer in room; the bathroom was dirty ( dirt ring around the tub); the bedsheets were brownish and unclean; no coffee maker in room.
3.2
I am not usually one to worry about “updating”, I am just very happy when a place is clean. But, part of updating means keeping the carpet in good condition and this was not. So I will say it needs “updating”. It was fair, but needs some work.
3.2
The young woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
The rooms were poorly maintained. In one room the bathtub didn't drain the water, there weren't any screens on the windows and the "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke. It was so bad that our clothing absorbed the foul smell. In the other room the lights did not turn on fully, there was a rip in the wall and the bathtub didn't drain. Motel 6 would be an upgrade compared to this place.
3.2
A nice little inn in Seward in between the downtown area, and the port where all the tours leave from. Simple but comfortable room in a quiet neighborhood, and the staff are very helpful and kind.
3.2
Centrally located in Seward. Clean, comfortable, no frills.
3.2
Great location across the street from waterfront park
Rooms are old
3.2
Location. Close to the Seward harbor
Rooms poorly maintained. Broken blinds, exposed power outlet, broken heater, smashed bedside lamp, torn moldy and smelly shower curtain, slowly draining sink and nonexistent WiFi.
Mentioned all this to the front desk and he said he can’t do anything because the owner isn’t on the premises. If the management is doing such a poor job about the exterior I wonder how meticulous they sanitize rooms between rentals. Definitely not worth the over $200 per day price. I’d put this property in the $75 price range.
Oh did I mention there’s no soap provided in the bathrooms! Booking.com should not be offering this property on its website. The management of this property should improve their facilities before being allowed to rip off any more weary travelers. Do not book this property. There’s a reason Murphy's Inn make’s it non refundable - because every customer would flee after taking a look at the rooms. The only deterrent would be a big loss to the pocketbook. This is highway robbery!
3.2
location
poor facilities compared to similar priced hotels
no in room coffee and lobby coffee was out in am with no staff available
poor wifi
3.2
Convenient location in Seward.
The first room we were offered smelled stale, had no fire alarm and had neither view nor balcony. After much negotiation, we finally got a different room - just as smelly and dank, but with an outdoor seating area. One of the two windows would not open, bedside light and overhead kitchenette light didn’t work and door blinds were broken (missing slats). There was only one glass, no cups, 2 small plates and no saucepans or other utensils in the kitchenette.
3.2
The location of the motel was very convenient. The room was bright and spacious. It had microwave and fridge that was useful. Easy access to parking lot. Beautiful bay view from a bay window!
Room was clean but there is scope for improvement on the cleanliness - it could also be a COVID resource shortage problem since they didn’t have daily service as well.
Internet is spotty but we were out the whole day so it didn’t affect us.
3.2
Convenient location for going out on fishing charters.
Musty smell, poorly operating toilet, tv was difficult and had to be operated the old fashioned way by hand, no a/c, generally an old property which has not been kept up. Massively overpriced for value.
3.2
Comfortable. Great black out shades. Good location. Clean.
3.2
No breakfast included. We cut our visit a day short due to rain and they were very good about refunding our money
People walking above us
3.2
Didn't like anything. It was Old, dilapidated and not maintained.
I liked nothing about this property
3.2
Great location with easy access to all parts of the city. Great view from the balcony!
There was no maid service during our stay and the strict check-in/check-out time was a little inconvenient for us since we came in on the train. The train gets in at 11:00am and we couldn't check-in until 4:00pm. However, we were able to store our luggage at the front desk which was nice!
