We loved being surrounded by redwoods in a beautiful home with everything we needed. We prepared delicious meals, toasted marshmallows and enjoyed all of the activities in the Fort Bragg area. My husband and son went on a fishing trip out of the Noyo Harbor, we visited the beautiful Mendocino botanical garden, hiked in Van Dam state park and along several beaches.

If you are looking for a peaceful, pristine nature experience, this property fits the bill. Nestled among gorgeous trees this quaint home is perfect for friends and family. We enjoyed every moment.

Lovely place on a gorgeous piece of property, the main house and guest house have up to date fixtures, comfortable beds, great bathrooms and all was super clean and well organized. Loved that we could bring our pup and she loved the yard. Fort Bragg is a super cute town with plenty to do and good food. We loved the owners recommended Noyo Harbor and Mayan Fusion.

My family and I spent an amazing weekend here. The location and home were just as described. The large yard made it feel so open and gave the dogs room to run around. We roasted s’mores in the fire pit and made memories I will never forget.

Awesome property, great location close to Fort Bragg and Mendocino, and a super helpful and friendly host. Thank you!

My family (ages 3 to 67) loved the impressive redwoods surrounding the property! The main house was perfect for our needs, providing activities for the children and a fenced area for the dog. Plus Grandma had her own hideaway in the extra living space. Josh has a great collection of musical instuments! We were minutes from the coast, and had redwood trees outside the bedroom windows!

The property was close to all that Fort Bragg has to offer, but set back from the business of it. We loved to be able to have our 4 legged family with us. Josh was friendly, personable, and available to work with.

What a wonderful hideaway in the redwoods. The home was just what we needed. Quite area, spacious, and had everything you need. My grandkids, 10 & 11, loved it and asked to come back soon. Most definitively.

My family of 5 (4 humans and one very spoiled dog) enjoyed our stay at this quiet and beautiful home!
Although we had a minor check in snafu with the door code, Josh was responsive and corrected the issue quickly. The property is surrounded by beautiful tall redwoods and makes for tranquil and serene mornings watching birds while sipping coffee. The home is cozy with a funky/fun vibe (my kids LOVED the chalk wall and all the super cool art, instruments, and treasures throughout); the kitchen is great and included anything we could have possibly needed.
The rooms were clean and the beds were soft (and my youngest was obsessed with the honeybee sheets). We did notice a slight musty smell in the master bedroom, but we ran one of the diffusers and that helped.
We REALLY appreciated how dog friendly the property was. The enclosed dog run was so great to have, and saved us having to do late night potty walks in a remote/new area with our spoiled princess.
We had a great stay here and would stay again!

Very thoughtfully put together home and a beautiful and memorable family retreat space -- close enough to the beach and also the amenities of Fort Bragg but surrounded by redwoods. The owners were very responsive to our questions and requests.

This beautiful site was the perfect place for a mini family reunion. It satisfied the requests for a place in the woods close to the ocean. The house and guest house were both very well appointed. The owner, Josh, happened to be working on the property next door when we arrived. Very friendly and gave us a little tour of house. About halfway through our stay he called my husband to see how we were doing. Our only complaints were the bathroom in the main house has no lock on the door and the locking mechanism on the main house door was unreliable. Even with with these problems we give a 5 star rating. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Very cute and comfortable home and separate in-law unit on a great piece of property. All amenities and comforts were provided and we were able to reach the owners to resolve a minor issue very quickly. Easy access to sites and stores but far enough off the road to be quiet and private especially at night. Days were spent lounging in the sun and nights roasting marshmallows. Our little dog loved it, too! Would definitely recommend and come back.

The house was fantastic! Lovely details and all the amenities you would want. The full kitchen and selection of cook books was really helpful. Close proximity to Fort Bragg was great. The property itself and fire pit were great. Could not of asked for a better spot!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here and we will definitely come back. The property is quiet and peaceful, filled with redwood trees, you immediately like you are on vacation. Smores at the fire pit were a hit and we spent each morning on the deck. The house is beautiful, welcoming and cheerful, wonderfully furnished and decorated, it was clean and comfortable. We were also happy to be able to bring our dog. Josh and Kat really thought of absolutely everything you could need. Communication with them was smooth and easy. This may be our favorite rental ever. I said, we will come back!

Chose this house over others due to the dog area out back. I love taking my dogs places, but I don’t always love having to take them potty on leashes. My dogs liked the fully fenced yard. The kitchen was well stock, my wife was able to cook a very large meal in the kitchen to take to a family reunion. We loved this property a lot, it was gorgeous. However for us, the beds were just to soft. That’s our only complaint and that’s more of a personal preference. While I wouldn’t stay here again because the beds don’t work for me, I still give it 5 stars.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this home among the Redwoods. We loved the open space and the mother-in-law house. The home is clean, well equipped and lovingly decorated. Thank you for your hospitality, we hope to visit again!

This phenomenally kitted out spot comprises two buildings. The second, smaller one contains a bedroom and bathroom and, I think, a tiny kitchen. The first is a vast combination living room, dining room, and kitchen. Just about every conceivable kitchen contraption is there, as well as snacks, spices, cornstarch, and far more. The freestanding fireplace is terrific. Although we could never figure out how to turn out the light over the counter to the left of the stove, everything else was ducky. Thank you for a grand stay among the redwoods.

We loved this house so much when we visited last summer we rented it for another week at Christmas. We have rented dozens of houses in the Fort Bragg area over the last 30 years and this is the first time we have ever rented a house a second time!
There is so much to do in the area yet we found ourselves relaxing all day at the house other than a few hours each day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, plenty of space to store all of your items, fully stocked kitchen, games for everyone, comfy living room with a big screen TV, huge dining table to fit everyone. And the best part was bringing our dogs. Fenced in back yard area with a doggie door to let your four legged friends outside or you can take them for a walk down the quiet road.
Owners had the entire house decorated for Christmas for us and were available for any questions/concerns we had. They even left us treats for us and our dogs.
We will be back this summer for a third stay!

We spent the week of Thanksgiving at this wonderful house in Fort Bragg. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. We celebrated our pittie Cooper’s first birthday and this was his first visit to Fort Bragg- he loved the daily walks along the road and in Fort Bragg! My sister and I worked during our time away and my sister appreciated the big computer monitor. The fenced dog area in the back was one of the best we have encountered of many VRBO rentals. The house was cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed playing games and just relaxing to the sounds from the wood stove.
The house is conveniently located a short drive from downtown Fort Bragg and we enjoyed fresh donuts on a few
mornings from Drop In Donuts-yum!
We would definitely love to stay here again in the future.

My mother, husband, and I had a three night stay here. The house had more than everything we needed. A wood stove for chilly nights, a puzzle, comfortable seating, lots of adjustable indirect lighting, and amazing views. The home is definitely dog friendly, with beds, a large water bowl, and enclosure safe for even smalls. Easy access to beaches and town, and very, very quiet with lots of stars and chatty little saw-whet owls calling in the night. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved staying in this beautiful home! The kitchen had everything we needed, from gadgets to spices/seasonings, to wonderful coffee. The beds were super comfy and we all slept like babies. The setting is magical and you feel like you’re in the middle of the forest (you are!).
Check-in/check-out was easy, and host was quick to respond to any questions we had.
Definitely a “must stay”!

Great spot if you're looking for a place to stay near the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. The property felt like you're camping, but with the comforts of staying at a house. Lots of natural light and well stocked kitchen. There's a fenced off area for dogs which is also appreciated.

The property was beautiful, and the inlaw unit was especially nice. Would definitely return.

We had a great stay here. We are a family of 5 roadtripping the West Coast. The place was perfect, from finding Banana Slugs, Smores at the Firepit, and getting fishing tips from our host it could not have worked out better.
The house is well stocked and the location is perfect to trips to the beach, Fort Bragg or Mendocine.
Overall, Loved it!!!!

From booking to check out everything was fantastic. House was so comfortable for our family of 6 that we spent 90% of our time at the house. Fenced dog run, super quiet, close to town, open floor plan with amazing kitchen. Owners went above and beyond with flowers, cookies, and snacks. Everything you need is there, just bring your food. Tons of games and puzzles, wood stove, and outdoor fire pit with wood provided. So great, we are coming back again at the end of the year.

My 2 teenagers (17 & 19), my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great family vacation home tucked away in the forest, surrounded by beautiful old growth redwoods. The house was very well stocked (from very comfortable beds to all the kitchen essentials and more), the rooms spacious and the grounds gorgeous, including a great fire pit for those chilly north coast nights. Loved visiting Fort Bragg and Mendocino , not to mention the very close beautiful coastline. Highly recommend it for a family wanting a peaceful, and very well-appointed, get away. And for those vacationing with dogs, it's pet friendly too!

This house is perfect in every way imaginable. The kitchen is very well stocked and had every thing we could want from an instant pot to a milk frother for our cappuccinos. The house is decorated tastefully and very comfortable. Our fur baby enjoyed having access to an enclosed pen in the backyard. We look forward to returning to Fort Bragg and to this Wonderful house
