Incredible view in a compact hut able to facilitate our needs. Well kept and in a prime location for many great walks and not too far from the centre of town.
We went when it was particularly hot and the hut can warm up quite quickly which can be a little uncomfortable especially when trying to sleep.

It was in a nice location with great views overlooking the hills. It was very tidy. Not to far from the local pubs.
The doors to the cabin were extremely stiff and needed a lot of force to be opened. The underfloor heating wouldn't come on when we wanted it to so it was cold of a morning. The toilet didn't flush properly and took 2-3 flushes to clear properly. Tv didn't have any signal and the remote to the sound bar was missing. Other than that we had a nice stay.

Beautiful location, nice modern interior, easy check-in. Majority clean although in parts a little dusty
There was a horrible smell of sewage outside majority of the time (not farmyard smell, rotten egg kind). The smoke alarm went off a few times in the night for no reason, waking us up and deafening us. The sink tap took forever to heat up, to the point we gave up and filled pans in the shower. Lot of dust on the light over the bed and high points.

Great views. Comfortable, clean, everything worked, well provisioned. Plenty of sockets. Surrounded by sheep/lambs. It warmed up quickly once we were inside. Good bathroom. Bed is comfortable.
(It rained a lot so we had no opportunity to use the outside space or bbq.)
Little space for clothes etc. With the bed down our cases took up most of the floor space. A few more hooks could have helped and a mat inside the door to stop the floor getting wet/dirty. (Although it's small enough to wipe with a couple of kitchen towels.) We were hiking and there was nowhere really to dry/drip 2 lots of clothes. One saucepan and a frying pan were enough for our needs but a couple more would be helpful.
Might be worth letting bookers know in advance that a footpath goes right past it, through the farmhouse yard.

Location was excellent, very out of the way perfect views at night and some lambs for company!
It wasn't an issue for me but if you have mobility issues be wary that it is fairly steep up to the space you are staying in so make sure you are bringing a vehicle or scooter.

The view was stunning, beautifully quiet. Shower and toilet was lovely. Really clean. TV and WiFi worked fine, soundbar had Bluetooth so you can chill and listen to music etc good cooking facilities.
Mattress felt a bit cheap and springy. The foldaway table was flimsy. The shower didn't have great pressure. Watch out for pot holes on the drive up as well (nothing to do with the lodge, just putting this on here for anyone else with a low car like me)

The owners have thought of everything.
The property was absolutely immaculate!
Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay.
Nothing!

we had an AMAZING nights stay. Let me tell you the view is INCREDIBLE one that will blow you away. The hut itself is so snug and cosy but has everything you would need for your stay. We loved the fact that we were so close to nature and the lambs in particular were adorable. Can't wait to return

Had such a great overnight stay at The Shepherds Hut! Really clean and comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. The views outside were stunning and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking watching the lambs with a glass of wine. Will definitely look at returning here again in the future, thank you for a lovely stay!

clean tidy and seems brand new

The hut was very clean and welcoming. The little welcome pack was a lovely touch and the location/surroundings was breath taking.
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property - however the mattress could do with renewing (as you can feel the springs) and a small step would be ideal for guest to use when getting on and off the bed - these are just recommendations.

It is a lovely hut and in nmaculate condition. The experience having a morning coffee in front of the mountains and looking the sheeps close to you was fantastic.

it was perfect for 2 nights stay. lovely views and clean. we loved the availability of everything there, so that we can cook our own food
it is very compact and has low water pressure, which is expected.

Loved the scenery and location of the hut. Very clean and comfortable has everything you need in the cabin. Host was a pleasure to deal with too.
Don't really have anything bad to say here in fairness.

It was warm and cozy on a very cold weekend in the Peak District and the views were spectacular.

This was the perfect little hut for my first solo travel. It has all the necessary things that someone needs to stay a night or multiple nights.
Location was easy to find and the view was lovely.
Will most definitely visit again and pass on the details to friends and colleagues.

there isn’t anything we didn’t like other than the toilet was hit and miss with the flush .

I loved Everything, it was brilliant and breath taking. The views were to die for and the hut was spectacular. The owners were so kind and helpful. I will definatly be rebooking to come back and for a couple days rather then the 1 day and night. A massive thank you to the team. She said yes to marrying me we had 1 amazing night.
Everything was brilliant no complaints.

The property was equipped with everything to make my stay comfortable. The location was superb with the views across the countryside - and the perfect spot to watch the sunset.

Superb little hut, with everything you need for your stay. Decorated absolutely beautifully. Very clean and that view ❤️

Fantastic location with jaw dropping views. We weren’t expecting the ‘hut’ to be so warm and comfortable.
Everything had been thought about. The use of the space was excellent. The shower and bathroom much better than any caravan I have stayed in. Underfloor heating made the ‘hut’ nice and warm.
Another plug socket higher up would have been useful 👍

Great views, very peaceful, easy to get to lots of other local villages.
early check out of 9am although did manage to ask if we could check out at 10am instead which was agreed. 😊

The location was absolutely beautiful, we went on some amazing hikes through the trails just at the back of this place. The hut was super cosy, and clean. It was the perfect size for me and my partner, and nothing beats having a hot drink with a view in the morning on the deck. It rained quite a bit during our stay but even then it was still lovely, and enjoyed many walks!
I wish we knew how steep the hill was between the town and the place so we could have bought more food on our way up hahah but that's just what you expect in the peak district!
Nothing was wrong with the hut AT ALL, only our inability to work out technology aha

Nice facilities with exceptional views of the Hope valley.

Perfect weekend getaway. If your looking for a place away from everyone with a great view this is the one. Literally 20 minutes from the top of Win hill with superb views of the peak district. Highly recommended great place.
