Had best night sleep thanks to perfect onsen, best value for price and view of Mt. Fuji from our room
Very comfortable & clean, the price is competitive compared to other hot-spring hotel in Hakone (with breakfast included). It’s not so big, there were only few people staying there, so it was quiet and nice retreat experience. Located 3 mins walk from Ubako bus stop / ropeway station, Shiki resort has modern building with two onsen (indoor & outdoor). We could walk down 20 mins to Togendai station to take boat to Motohakone and visit the shrine (highly recommended). We also had big tatami room and the cherry on top is the view of Mt. Fuji from our room! I had the best sleep ever in this resort! Will definitely come back and stay longer.
The location is a bit remote (like other resorts in this area), so the only choice for dinner is in the hotel restaurant (3,300¥/ person). Or you could also bring your own dinner. Check-in time is at 15:30, before that there was no staff around. The staff are very nice although not very responsive if you contacted them from Booking.com messenger.

Exceptional
It’s really clean and had great views of Fuji from the rooms and dining area. Kaiseki meals were good too tho not super premium. Location was also very near Ubako Ropeway station. Not sure why the reviews on booking.com werent very good for this place.
A little far from everything but it’s near the ropeway station and hiking trails.
