We had a great time for a quick family vacation. It was our baby’s first time at the beach and the house was prepped with a high chair and pack-n-play, which was unexpected. The host was easy to communicate with, and responded typically within an hour. The house was just what we needed!

Overall it was nice and clean. Loved the location, however I didn't have internet to get check-in information and had to drive back into town. King mattress was bad and there was a terrible smell. No flat baking sheet.

This property was very nice. The location was close to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped. The availability of golf cart/ chairs/ tents for rent and delivery to the door was a great option. We enjoyed our stay.

We were very happy with our stay here.

Nice getaway.

This property provides the bare basics for your stay. The third bedroom is downstairs and you must go outside to access it. There is also a very strong mold smell downstairs. Upstairs is fine; however, there is limited countertop space in the bathroom and no closets. Floors is coming apart. Probably wouldn’t book this property again.

We enjoyed our stay. It is very close to the beach. There is a restaurant/bar, small store and pool in the neighborhood.

This is a good option for families who have different family units who need different rooms. The only downside is that the "third bedroom" is downstairs and is disconnected from the main house. It is the game room with a bunk bed in it. Fine to sleep in, just not a lot of privacy in that room.
Overall a good stay, would go again.

Food on floor, inaccurate listing, and had to call for maintenance 3 times for 3 separate issues. Floor is cracking up all over and caused injury. 1 bedroom is in a smelly/moldy downstairs (not specified in the listing). Pool use is very expensive and should have been specified better in the listing. Faucets are about to fall off. No foosball machine. Chipped glasses for drinking. Had issues with air conditioner, oven, and dryer so had to call maintenance 3 times. Beds are awful. Master BR side has neighbor that has ultra bright halogen security lights that shine in on the window (no curtains on any windows) that lights up the room brighter than full sun in day. Cooking supplies limited (no bowls other than cereal). Absolutely the worst rental place we have ever stayed in. I won’t be renting from this group again!

The house appears to have been very cheaply remodeled some years ago and then not maintained at all after the remodel. There are large holes in the flooring where the vinyl tiles don’t meet each other, kitchen and bathroom faucets are both about to fall off every time you adjust the water, couch has a large hole in it, rugs falling apart, master bed frame is bent, noisy, and feels like it’s about to fall down at any minute, grill is completely rusted out in the bottom, broken coffee pot, waffle maker, etc, toaster is so worn out you can no longer read any of the settings. There are no closets or bedroom furniture so you have to just live out of your suitcase on the floor. We tried to look past these things and enjoy our vacation but on the third day we needed to do laundry. The washer/dryer are accessed through the third “bedroom” which is actually a room that you have to go outside, then downstairs to access. When we went in it smelled very heavily of mold/mildew. The washing machine itself was covered in black mold and about knocked you out with the smell when you opened the door. It made me sick to think that the sheets/towels we had been using had probably been washed in that machine. It was so unsanitary that we packed up and left the next day even though we had paid for 4 more nights. I cannot believe this place had such great reviews. I have been on countless beach vacations and never stayed somewhere this bad before. It was a very upsetting waste of a lot of money.

The listing indicated this was a 3 bedroom. I thought the basement area was in addition to that, but it wasn't. The upstairs was great, kitchen was well stocked, one bedroom bedside table had trash in the drawer from a previous renter and kitchen had some dirty dishes in the cabinet. Basement smelled horrible, like mold. There was visable mold on floor close to trim work. Internet didnt work for a couple days, but they fixed that issue. Area was great, was disappointed that the pool wasn't open while we were there, but the beach was beautiful! I would not choose to rent this particular home again due to the obvious mold issue in the basement.

House was beautiful, we had a power outage the second day of our stay that was gonna take awhile to fix so they instantly moved to to another rental, both houses were beautiful clean and had everything we needed everyone enjoyed it the kids and adults. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood so the kids were able to play outside & the adults got to enjoy the evenings outside as well without a lot of noise or traffic. Overall would definitely recommend them and would book another stay with them!

Very nice property. Had every thing we needed. Very clean. It was winter and we didn't get to use the outdoor amenities but they looked very nice.
Communication with the property was great, very responsive.
We were staying the night before our cruise.
Feb, 16th 2024.
Would definitely stay again.
Thanks.

We loved the neighborhood. I would give that a "10" if possible. Easy drive to activities. House was well equiped and plenty of beds for larger groups (up to 12) so for just the two us (+ 1 dog) plenty of space. Host was always very helpful and we appreciated that they checked to see if we needed anything. Perfect set-up for family with teens or 2 familes as separate quarter's on lower level with larger bunk beds, tv , sofa and their own bathroom. Very easy walking distance (2+ blocks) to beach. Clean and no bugs in sight. Definitely would stay there again.

The home is nice and simple unfortunately no closets to hang your clothes there were no extra blankets. The price was right. We would definitely go back and stay again and would definitely bring extra blankets if it was in the winter time
4.4
We had a great but short stay. Property has been updated; good place for kids.

The property is as shown and a wonderful stay. It was a quick in and out for us as we were heading for a cruise. The local area is beautiful and we had an amazing time. Only pitfall, not of the owner's doing or fault, is the directions from the VRBO app were not correct. They gave a wrong address when opened in Google Maps. I would recommend this stay to others and would book again!

We visited with our small children and teenagers and loved the detached room downstairs for the teens. They had their own bathroom and were able to hang out in their own secluded space. Kitchen was well equipped aside from measuring spoons and a large baking sheet, but we were able to make it work with the provided dishes. We had a group of seven and mealtimes were cramped, but do-able. Keep in mind if you have a larger group and may all be in the kitchen at once. Host was fantastic! He was responsive and informative. We'd definitely stay again.

Very clean and well-stocked. The not so good:
…host sent code for key box which was on post by “front door” without saying front door is on 2nd level. Arrived on wet, cold night to find only outside light was by door on ground level near which was post with 2 key boxes so we assumed this was “front door”. After many failed attempts to open key boxes, we sent host msg asking him to call - he never did. This was all very confusing and uncomfortable.
.. in spite of being very well stocked otherwise, kitchen had only partial set of measuring spoons - no tbls which we needed for coffee.
…wall mirror and vanity lights are so low that anyone over 5’9”” has to stoop to use
…despite host’s claims we could find nothing in listing informing that one bedroom and bath are on ground level with only outside access. Knowing this would have most likely have impacted our choice.
All-in-all it was “OK” but, after including add-on fees very over-priced on our opinion.

This was a great alternative to camping and was just what we were looking for. The price was right, too. Thank you!

The house was very clean and had everything we needed!

This is a cute home away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag, but close enough to restaurants and sightseeing within 10 minutes. Could use a bit of updating, especially the floors, but a nice place. Russell was very responsive to all of my messages.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The setup worked out for the group we had and their family ended up taking the downstairs "game" room. The upstairs rooms could have been colder but at least there were fans provided and we always travel with our own! The outside could have been cleaned up better, there were cigarette butts everywhere and the babies kept picking them up. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay!!

Super easy check in process! Friendly host, lots of places to sleep, comfy

The property was so cute and clean. It had everything we needed. Our stay was very short but we would definitely return for a longer stay.

I really enjoyed the place, my family was relaxed and comfortable the whole time.My kids really enjoyed the room downstairs beacuse of the games and bunk beds.Over all the expirence was amazing!

Quick couple days stay at the beach with our two dogs. Cute beach house nicely decorated, comfy beds and we did not cook. Did use the coffee maker and microwave but well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Couch super comfy easy to use the TV. Yard almost all fenced in except where the driveway is so have to stay out with dogs but that was ok ours mind and don’t run off still nice most of it fenced. We did not use downstairs but did look at it very cute great place for older kids to stay. They have the sports game machines but not the foos ball table. Washer and dryer down there too. I saw some one complained about the flooring there are spots that have separated but was not a big deal too us. And we drove to the beach each time which is a minute drive but you can walk I feel like it would be about 4 min walk you can see the beach from their patio. But so easy to drive the public parking is right across the street. Literally park on the beach and then walk to your area you want to hang out at. Very easy! Yes I would stay here again. Also if you have dogs they have a water hose on stair by driveway easy to hose off the dogs. Not sure if outside shower worked we tried it first night in the dark and could not get it to come on but the hose is easier anyway🙂

Enjoyed our stay at this cute little beach house. It was clean and Russell was nice and responsive to our questions about local recommendations.

Everything was great! We all had a fun time the sleeping situation was a little different.

We were amaze in all the amenities the house has such as laundry kitchen complements and the grill place ufff really nice and handy. Really quiet place and the early mornings were my favorites on the balcony. We will book this house next year the beach near by is really family and pet friendly. It was our first time booking a house and the process and comunication was excellent. Thank you for the amazing stay at your property.

Had a nice quick trip down to Galveston. We mainly used the home to sleep, but it was clean and had some good amenities. It was good.
4.4
While the ease of access to the beach was our main concern, I would say this should only be rated for that and just being a place to lay your head at night. The pictures look great but keep in mind that it is more rough around the edges in person.
The house certainly needs more TLC and I believe the property management could spend a little more time thinking about what renters would like to see. Examples: 1) take the time to buy a $5 toilet paper holder so people don’t have to put the toilet paper roll that they’re using on the floor. 2) secure the shower fixtures so that the shower head does not fall completely off with the slightest adjustment. 3) while the flooring was pretty, it clearly was not installed by professionals. There were a lot of gaps between planks and some parts had risen and even caused us to trip quite a few times. 4) soooo many bugs in the downstairs “game room.”
We looked past quite a lot and just thought of it as a place to sleep at night, but even if the home is for sale, better care of the property will equal better reviews and happier customers. At least the oven was working again though! (Based on a June review). I should note that I did not bother to reach out to the host about these notes because, besides a toilet paper holder, none of the concerns are quick fixes. We did not want our stay interrupted, but hopefully more care will be given to the property soon!

Here's what you need to know before renting this property.
1. The refrigerator just gets cool, not cold. Bring a big ice chest to keep perishables in.
2. Oven does not work. Maintenace did bring a counter top convection oven after our cinnamon rolls were still doughy after 3 hrs in the oven.
3. Close the vents in the living room before going to bed so the bedrooms get cool. Open them back up in the morning.
4. The downstairs gameroom has a hole in the ceiling from a leaking rusty pipe that has obviously been leaking for a while; there has to be mold growing up there.
5. Wear shoes on the deck! Rusty nails sticking up.
These issues had all been reported before in reviews.
The property is for sale which tells me the owner would rather sell it than fix anthing. We left a day early before anything else happened. We were issued a partial refund for our "inconvenience".
Maintenance man gets 5 stars for bringing the counter top oven, ice for our ice chests, and listening to my rant with kindness.

We had a wonderful time. The house was close to the beach. Very nice that the marina restaurant and store were just down the street as well. The house was nice and clean. Our only issues were the gnats were annoying and that the ceiling in one of the bedrooms dripped a little during a storm the last morning we were there.
4.4
My family and I don't take trips very often due to money being tight, so we were super excited about being able to get away for a bit to this wonderful home. It was exactly what we needed. A cute little beach home for us to sleep in after our day at the beach.
