Fun vibes, clean and the site was as described.
I smelled strong fragrance - not sure if it was cleaning products or intentional room fragrance. Either way, it was a bit strong for those of us with allergies. I managed ok though. Heard some road noise, it did not disturb me that much. I also heard loud noises at night - not sure what it was but it woke me up. Again, I managed ok for a single night.

El espacio, lo facil que fue llegar y entrar a la habitacion. El diseño es fantastico.
No estaba claro como solicitar limpieza a la habitacion. Un closet para guardar abrigos dentro de la habitacion la haria perfecta.

Heddle is a self service room. The hosts were very accommodating in letting me drop my bag while my room was being readied. The room was very clean and spacious. I found a good local bar within walking distance but recommend that you only get this place if you have a car. I am not sure but I think since two of the rooms are more like an apartment -those would be better value.
The earplugs are a warning & I thought it was strange- and glad to have my eye mask as there's no occlusion of the upper windows. i was unable to get a full night's rest my entire stay as there is no sound proofing - you hear the echoes of your neighbours and every car that passes by. From a safety perspective, I won't use earplugs. There's artistic soundproofing materials on the market-with RISD I am surprised they haven't engaged the students to dampen the noise. The bed also creaks- my bed at home doesn't and I built it from a kit.
The building is co located on a service road where folks cut through to avoid lights and to get to the highway -the train runs behind the buildings next door-the neighborhood is up past 2 am revving and blaring music from their cars right thru the weekend Sun night included. The surrounding buildings are derelict and there is a full and very busy carwash adjacent. It was somewhat unnerving but the local folks are friendly and can tell you're out of place. My Uber driver kept asking if I was sure this was my destination. There's also construction at both bridges to Providence proper-it is not walking friendly-but take Broad St. since there are less derelict buildings and cross back for the lucky bar, Sin bakery and other spots. Know though you are at least 20 min walk from a place and more than 40 min from RISD and the city Riverwalk.
I am not sure why there is a fee listed for cleaning on top of the rate-Since it is a self service room- while I don't think maid service is necessary for a short stay-i do believe trash should be collected every day. I do think the owners should be upfront about the description. It's fine if you have a car and can use earplugs but the price -better value is elsewhere.
Why did I stay my entire reservation -it was nonrefundable and other options in reasonable budget were booked.

Convenience of location
No staff. No help. Thin walls.

The staff were not onsite, but were very helpful and responsive via text!
Beautiful building, very comfortable room, well thought-out decor and use of space.
The location felt a little isolated, and with no staff onsite that could be a vulnerable situation for a solo traveler.

Amazing space. The high ceilings and exposed brick made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel room. The bathroom was fantastic and the water pressure was great. Lots of natural light as well.
There were some stains on the sheets and the pillows were not particularly comfortable.

Not an ordinary stay! Cool repurposed industrial space with tasteful and modern aesthetic. We loved the quality of the design in our Loft. The staff is responsive and friendly. A great "home base" while we explored Providence!!
There are noises that the building makes at certain times. Earplugs were thoughtfully provided for sleeping and they worked great. The neighborhood isn't postcard pretty, but it was kind of nice to be off the beaten path.

A unique and comfortable place to stay! We loved exploring Olneyville, but also being a short walk from downtown and College Hill.

The ease of it all! It was a wonderful space that worked really well for us.

This is a clever hotel in a developing part of Providence. It has a lot of potential. The room was comfortable although all the bugs are not ironed out yet. It is a very good location for a hotel if you want to get to Federal Hill or go to an event at LaSalle Academy. I expect this hotel will evolve and become a really cool place to stay.
The entry system is a bit of a challenge. You don't see anyone on staff so you have to figure things out on your own. The room was good albeit industrial. No warm and fuzzy here. The TV was frustrating to get to a standard TV channel. The smart TV was not smart enough. Or I was not.

I really enjoyed the size of the space, the bed was comfortable. I liked the QR code check in and although there is no staff on the property, they were quick to answer any questions via text. I was nervous about parking however each room had a reserved spot, which I appreciated. I did utilize the workspace as well as the chair area while working from the room. There is a renovated mill area with food, breweries and a distillery, within a 5 minute drive.
My room was on the street, it was pretty loud at night but they did provide ear plugs. The location wasn't the best, not much to walk to as far as eating or drinking goes. For the location, I found the price to be very high.

Location was concerning. It was in a developing neighborhood.
The walls in the room had no sound barriers you could hear the adjacent rooms.

Nothing positive I can say. See what we didn’t like
The Dye House says it is a boutique hotel. It is not. On its website it gives the impression it is in a revitalized area in Providence. Some revitalization has happened but there is plenty more to do. There are no services or staff onsite at the Dye House. The only way you know this is if you read all the reviews. They do mention this when they send you the code to your room, which we never saw because it was in our spam folder. When we arrived, the area around the Dye House was desolate. There were no people or cars. Once we got inside and realized not only were there no people around outside, there was nobody inside. It felt uncomfortable and unsafe. We immediately booked a reservation at an actual hotel and left. When following up with the Dye House and expressing our concerns, they said it was clearly detailed on their website that they were an “invisible service” boutique hotel. I see that as marketing spin for no service. I went back and checked their website and could find only one brief mention of “invisible service.” There was no definition of “invisible service.” For a location that has no service, they are overpriced as well. If you are okay in staying at a place that has nobody onsite, no services, and doesn’t feel safe walking around, then this place is for you. If that is not what you are looking for, I suggest you look at other actual hotels in Providence.

Comfortable bed, good bathroom
Coffee maker was difficult to use, no drawers or shelves for unpacking, not a very nice neighbourhood, club next door had loud music until 11pm on Saturday night

Great contemporary design. Nicely curated spaces.

The property has a nice design feel but is really an Airbnb and not a hotel. There is nobody on staff on site and they try to do everything virtually including checking into the building. The first thing that went wrong was that there was no hot water in our room. My girlfriend came of 24 hours of flying and had to take cold showers the whole time we were there. We spoke to the owner, who tried to help by having someone stop by to try and fix the water heater but this didn’t work. The hot water did come on for a few minutes only to fail again. Pricing was comparable to full service hotels and this is anything but full service and in a gentrifying area with quite a ways to go, when we came back last night dressed formally after a brown graduation event it was pouring rain and the virtual key didn’t work to open the door. After several calls and at 1:30 am someone finally opened the door virtually.

We had a great stay. Loved this little neighborhood of old brick industrial buildings, street art and fantastic Latino eats. If you are a sucker for “attention to detail”, this boutique hotel is a conveniently located, flavorful, cool place to be. Beautifully designed and decorated, the rooms are all different. If you’re lucky, you may even find out who Michael Jang is!
There is zero staff on site.

I loved how close Dye House was to the Fete Music Hall. And it felt super private even though it was in a busy section of Providence.

What a cool unique space! Bed was super comfortable and the linens were amazing too. I am ordering Brooklinen sheets as we speak! Also the bathroom was well appointed and lit. I'm always down for trying something new and the Dye House was definitely that. Also I needed an iron and ironing board to iron my dress clothes, and the management brought me one to my room within an hour. Great service!

What a great experience! Easy to find, safe parking. My room was cute! Very helpful and attentive staff. Walking distance to The Fete!! I will definitely be coming back :)
There really isn't anything for me to complain about.

The location was clean and modern but also quiet and cozy. It was in a prime location for restaurants, bars and shopping with easy access to downtown.

Only thing I had an issue with was outside noise. Traffic was a little loud, but it is what it is

Everything was excellent. Perfect for what I needed for 1 night stay.
Wish there had been a tiny fridge in room. It wasn't advertised as such, but would have been useful. Only thing I would suggest. Maybe other rooms do.

There was a huge snowstorm coming and no staff and no kitchen and parking uncovered where we would have been snowed in. It was high risk for us and I asked to cancel and they would not.
THis is a place with only 4 rooms and no real staff on premises and then under these circumstances they should be understanding. And as it turns out it's not in a good neighborhood.
There was no staff, no food, and in a snowstorm we were at terrible risk.

Loved the modern aesthetic and felt the design was beautiful. Would most likely book again if we are visiting Providence :)
Our room was near the road and it was just a little noisy at times but really not a big issue.

Really interesting use of a converted industrial building - and nicely done. Furnishings were fun and functional and comfortable. Heat, hot water, coffee area all made for a comfortable stay.
Local area is friendly, but would have loved if there was a cafe or bakery in walking distance.

Beautiful room design & decor.
Entry system with code did not work well. One night we had to call the owner to let us in. The room design was lovely but there was no closet or drawer space.

Beautiful restored mill and very peaceful overnight. This is somewhere you go to be secluded and feel like a home from home. The decor and finishing touches to the rooms were very tastefully done and they have a catalog where you can purchase items you like in the room! I think we bought 3/4 items!
