We had great customer service throughout our stay. We liked the amenities of the restaurant, salon, pool, jacuzzi, gym and the cleanliness. The room had accommodations with safety box, refrigerator, extra large tv screen, updated interior room and a great view of the pool and lounge areas. I liked the fact that the inside and outside pools were attached to each other and the location of the hotel is five minute drive to billiards, restaurants, RID Museum and downtown events. The Marriott has a credit card that you can get promotions, points and gift cards.
We were told we had to pay 32.00 a day to park at facility, we had to wait until four to sign into hotel and there was not an option including breakfast, we had to pay for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Great stay! Perfect location, clean and nice staff! We loved the pool!Declan the shuttle driver was awesome!
I was unaware of the $200 incidental hold until after I had paid for my room. If I had known this, I might have remained other options in the area.

convenient and you know what you are getting. No surprises.
Noisy and inconsistent a/c

The hotel is beautiful and has great amenities for it's guest (i.e spa, pool, fitness center)
The location is nice but unfortunately you still have to drive places, as it is too dangerous/far to walk to most places...

Location was good.
Limited breakfast options, too soft beds

It’s nicely decorated we love the pool was nice and warm.
Horrible, pounding noise they put us in a bad location with construction right outside the window-it happens every night apparently so they knew that it would happen. It started it midnight, so it’s too late to change the room.

The hotel restaurant was fabulous. Great location. Comfortable and bright rooms. Pool was beautiful.

Staff and service was excellent
Room was dated, smelled like mold, shower didn't drain well
3.9
 The staff was very kind.
Dirty, no cable signal, body here, all over the shower stall in the room smelled very steel. Unsupervised kids were running around all over the gym. Emailed the manager and he or she never responded.

Breakfast
Rooms were outdated, one had a horrible mattress and an old ( not smart TV), had requested rooms close to one another and got rooms on separate floors, was originally told that our dog could be left in room unattended and this was not the case, the pool was a disgusting warm bath temperature

Friendly staff and clean rooms. The pool area was awesome! The kids loved it! Decent complimentary coffee in the lobby. Loved the shuttle service too.
The beds & pillows were super soft. If you like this type of bed, then you’re golden. The water pressure wasn’t the greatest but tolerable.

THE POOL
NOT CHARGING TO PARK (20 BUCKS PER 24HOUR STAY) AND 25 CHARGE FOR BREAKFEST... CRAZY..

The pool, the surrounding area. The bar staff were super friendly and nice.
Our room had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were a pair of underwear and socks from previous guest left on the floor behind a table.

Centrally located
Charge for parking. Floor was dirty. Pool was green on walls. They say the have breakfast included. They do not. You can buy breakfast it’s not. Free

Staff were professional and pleasant. Rooms are in need of repair and/or renovation but are clean. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh eggs, fruit, granola. The pool was nice but heavily chlorinated.
Extraordinarily expensive! Parking should be free, given the cost of the stay, and that parking is onsite. They need to repair hardware on doors, and our curtains were torn. Not impressed with their advertising that the facilities are "newly renovated." Not completely accurate.

Great pool. Lovely friendly restaurant. A good place to stay and enjoy. I turned out to be sick though. So missed a lot. Oh well it’s a great place to stay
They need a concierge

RENOVATED ROOMS (after we switched to what we actually booked and paid for) are nice and with comfortable beds. Pool in the morning is less crowded. Pool maintenance staff and bar/restaurant staff are friendly and helpful.
Staff gave us a room at the NOT RENOVATED WING, which looks completely different from the photos. Old AC, Old and looking not clean furniture, and when I went downstairs to tell them this is unacceptable, their first reaction was, it's just some of the rooms haven't been renovated yet. And I had to wait till they confirm with some manager person to change us to another room in the renovated section (we booked the king bed, they wanted to give us queen first and "suddenly" realized there's a king bed available, which we should have got as we booked at the first place). I mean, if you want to list those not renovated rooms, LIST them as separate price with the real photos! DO NOT TRICK PEOPLE into paying the same price for the renovated photos and getting the old ones instead.
I'm Genius level 3 on booking and never have experienced this type of sneaky tricks before. Shame that this is Marriot Downtown Providence.
Service staff is obviously tired and trying their best to be totally cold face, but no free water in the room, mint-cucumber water in lobby is constantly stuck, NO FREE PARKING (and you have to do-it-yourself get on a webpage or app to manually pay) ..

They clean your room even during your stay
Hearing others in the hall way

They couldn’t find my booking I made through you!! Your customer service refused to help me! I had to pay for a whole separate booking! I expect you to refund me. I spent over three hours trying to get this rectified and it ruined our whole trip.
Booking through booking.com. I will never book through you again!
