Wow: This home is truly stunning! The back of the house is approximately 70% glass with sweeping views of the National Forest and mountains. It’s also a fantastic choice for multiple families with three master bedroom suites with bathrooms, and its spacious (more than 5,300 square feet) multilevel layout gives everyone room to stretch out and relax – including the family pup! If you’re looking for a great home for your large group, look no further. Everyone will love it!
Happy Trails Lodge is a 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, dog-friendly luxury home with plenty of room for groups of up to 14. Set in the forest above Breckenridge, it’s just a short drive (or in the winter, shuttle ride) to downtown Breckenridge and the ski area base. Ski-in/ski-out access is available for expert skiers. A short trail that starts on the property leads to the green Lower Lehman run, where you can ski straight to the QuickSilver SuperChair. Skiers with intermediate ability or better can ski back to the house via the Peak 10 Falcon Chair slopes.
The impressive combination of wood and stonework gives this home the feel of an elegant Rocky Mountain castle. The main level is a bright, open gathering area for the whole gang with luxurious leather seating, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and large windows to let the forest light in. There’s also a desk/work area for catching up on emails while taking in the views of Peak 10! The inviting custom kitchen features granite counters, a Viking gas range and oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator, top-quality pots, pans and utensils — it’s first class all the way. The large dining table seats eight, additionally there’s room for three at the counter and four at the breakfast nook table. Just off the kitchen is a deck, a gas grill, and a table/chair set for outdoor dining, too.
Downstairs you’ll find another living room with a large flat-screen TV and another large rock fireplace. Off this living area outside is a large outdoor hot tub and deck. We had 12 adults and there was room for everyone! Enjoyed the downstairs living room with pool table and large tv to watch US Open. Also close enough to downtown, $20-25 Lyft to the nightlife. The views were amazing also! Would definitely come back and highly recommend this property for your next vacation!! We did run out of propane, but one text and a full and spare tank were dropped off within the hour!

Incredible location, amazing amenities. Our kids loved the sleds. We loved the ping pong tables, foosball table, and pool table. The place has sooo many levels and stairs which was a little scary for our infant but it all worked out. More than enough beds and rooms for all of us. Sledding right outside the back door was sooo fun and a trip highlight. Amazing response time from the management company anytime we had a question. We really hope this property stays on VRBO because we’re planning to make this an annual trip

We had 6 couples tackle this trip. This home was more than enough space and the location was great! The ski in was perfect for intermediate skiers (boarders not so much), but the silver shuttle was right across the street. It shuttles right at the Quicksilver chair. Great communication with the property managers.

This house was beautiful, multiple levels with lots of space to hang out. The shuttle stopped right outside the house. We were able to Ski Out (with some basic skiing skills) but we were never able to figure out how to Ski In. The hot tub worked great. We had a fox visit at the porch door daily and squirrels and birds too, which were all such a thrill to see. My family already said they would want to rent here again :)) If anyone knows how to Ski In, that would seal the deal for next year??

Very Nice Place. Since 75% of our party were able to use the ski in and 100% ski out feature, this was helpful. Beautiful place exquisite views and hot tub was great. Generally Summit Mountain Rentals was responsive to our needs and issues. Challenges:1. People should know that the place is at 10,000 feet elevation and we all suffered issues with altitude sickness.2. Since there are so many levels and stairs, this compounded the altitude issues.3. Beds generally uncomfortable relative to the expensive costs and should be replaced.4. Snowplow service inadequate (my 4WD car got stuck) after a 9 inch snow

Absolutely wonderful experience! Any issues (heat and refrigeration) we had, property management responded right away. We did have one bed that had some old food and crumbs in it but it was easily cleaned up. Some lights were burned out but we worked around it. Unforgettable experience and we do appreciate the opportunity to stay in the house❣️

This house was perfect for our little getaway with friends! The perfect distance from town and lots of space for work and play! The management company was easy to reach. They provided detail instruction for checkin and checkout! We will be come back again!

We had a great 3 day weekend at the property and couldn’t be happier with the location. We did have a few issues with internet/tv that the management company couldn’t solve for over the phone. Nothing got into our way of having a good time, however, we did have multiple people mention the house could use a deep cleanse. We had a few dead critters and webs welcome us upon our arrival.

House is beautiful and in really nice location. Ski out is very easy. Be careful of where you go when skiing in. Would not recommend taking the out of bounds trail to the house if you are on snow board. Skiing to the shuttle at bottom of peak 9 is very quick and easy.

My husband and I booked Happy Trails Lodge with a group of friends for my 30th Birthday weekend! Can not say enough good things about the property! Everything you could ask for between the fire places, amazing rooms with a view and the hot tub. We were able to utilize the ski out amenities and the shuttle was so convenient to get to Beaver Run and Downtown. We also had a friendly fox visit us a few times! Truly amazing, we'll definitely be back! :)

We were disappointed in not being able to ski in or ski out for most of the time we were there. We could only ski out one time. That should have been described properly in the property description. The oven wasn’t working very well. There was not an icemaker. Some of the towels had holes in them. The overhead lights in the Master bedroom did not work. Many of the lights were difficult to find and turn on, they did not work via the switches. A TV on the first floor would have been really nice with all the football games going on this weekend. Our party was disappointed . in the amount of money we had to pay for a five day rental, and not get a top of the line house.

Great location with lots of room. Skiing in is harder than skiing out, once you figure it out its convenient. Only negative comment is that noise carries quite a bit to the downstairs so when people wake up in the morning and are in the kitchen it wakes everyone up.

Loved our family getaway. I didn’t enjoy having to self clean the oven because it was so coated in grease that we couldn’t use it. The home itself needs deep cleaning, but it’s a wonderful location, easy to get in and out, easy mgmt to deal with and we appreciated that someone checked on the hot tub to make sure it was running well during our stay.

Beautiful mountain getaway for families
We stayed at this property for a weekend getaway with friends visiting from out of town. The views were stunning, location convenient, and the house was full of all the amenities you might need. It was a great place to stay with kids and they really loved the bunk beds and watching for animals out the back windows. Would definitely highly recommend this house. Thanks for a great trip!

The property was great. Plenty of room. We ended up only having 11 people with us so there was more than enough room. It would easily have fit 16 adults. A few of the people were able to ski in and out of the property, and the others took the shuttle that stops right in front of the house.

Take that ski trail for a few thousand feet until you start going down hill a little more. Look hard right for a tree with blue spray paint and the trail up a small hill.
