I chose here as it was close to the centre of Cirencester. The reviews looked good, so this was a traditional bed and breakfast, nice couple very accommodating I needed gluten free food for breakfast they got some in for me. Breakfast was good.

Beds were okay but our friends that came with us said the bed they had made their back hurt a bit in the morning, can be one of those things. So overall good place to stay.

Safe, quiet, clean; for a random find on Booking.com it turned out to be a winner for me.

Everything! It was easy to find, quiet, clean. The bed was so comfortable. Natalie and Bob are amazing hosts and provided a safe place to be. Breakfast was good and I had choices. I hope to visit the area again and would love to return to the Apsley Villa.

I could not find fault with it.

Great location, very friendly and gave us loads of information about the area. The rooms are big, the breakfast was fabulous. The town centre was a short walk and a great town centre it is too.

If you don't laugh, you'll cry

Not in the centre but close enough to walk into town. Onsite parking, which is always helpful! We were also allowed an early check in, which was very much appreciated!

I could tell by the pictures that the establishment was old and a little tired, and I wasn't wrong. Watch your head as you walk up the stairs - ceilings are low! Carpet in the bathroom is less than hygienic, with a very small shower to boot - didn't even attempt to use it. The bed was small, but comfortable enough. We had a key to the front door, which gave us access at any time but another couple was given the incorrect key, so couldn't get in when they returned after 10pm. I suggest you check yours before leaving. Breakfast was a strange affair! I requested my scrambled eggs be cooked 'dry' and got told 'sorry, we're done cooking them now'. They then came out looking like egg jelly - turns out they were microwaved?! Stale cornflakes added to the disaster and then the hostess trying to remove a plate whilst it was still being eaten off of, was the cherry on top. Even though the price paid is cheaper than most, I still expected something a little better for my £120pn.

Outdated, uncomfortable, carpet in bathroom

The location was great, parking was available, male owner was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good!

Room was not at all comfortable or like the app described. The bed is worn out and the carpet in the bathroom was hard to ignore.

Great value, lovely helpful hosts, great facilities.

Parking is tight but a very welcome provision, thank you. Went to a wedding at Gore Barn and hosts were very accommodating, friendly and helpful with recommending a taxi. Breakfast was great quality and the stay was very good value. Only downside was our room was in the eves at the top of the house, it was very hot (weather not house in particular) and windows weren't great for circulation but fantastic value and hosts. Thoroughly recommend.

A comfortable guest house with delicious breakfast.

Our hosts, Natalie and Rob, were very helpful and produced a delicious breakfast. Apsley House is close to the centre of town and it’s possible to walk to the centre of Cirencester. The beds were very comfortable.

Good guest house but several issues.

Great location and good breakfast. Clean too.

The shower pressure was extremely low so it was very hard to shower. The room was also extremely hot which made it uncomfortable.

weekend in Cirencester

location was excellent,short walk to the town centre,parking available. the acomodation was clean and warm and the hosts very nice and friendly. Breakfast was really nice but for us was too much and we ordered a smaller breakfast for the rest of our stay.We would have no hesitation staying again if visiting cirencester

The room was small with only one chair and the wash hand basin was in the bedroom which meant I had to listen to my husband cleaning his teeth! the shower and toilet were separate and cramped so no good if you are overweight but other than that we would definately stay again if in the area as everything else was really good
