My problem was that I googled HOTEL and this appeared in the results. After looking at the pics and reviews on the internet I thought it was like a house-looking hotel. Instead it is like just someones house, not a hotel at all. I must say, it is a quite pretty one and the location seems safe. The staff are super nice.
but there's a couple of things I did not like at all: The dogs are barking all the time, and there is no much privacy really, since you can hear everything that happens in the adjacent rooms. Also the owner is a musician so she plays flute. She plays really good I just don't feel like listening to that. It feels like it's more for people that look more to a social experience instead of a private and calm one. Oh, and I know, this is DF etc but the room is tiny and HOT. The bathroom water lasts hot a few seconds and the bathroom is clearly an improvisation inside what used to be a room.

I would stay here again for future trips to Mexico City. There was privacy with the room and private shower, and helpful suggestions on events and transport options. Safe area even to walk at night. There’s a great coffee place around the corner for the mornings.
The security of the property is good. Just several keys to use, and I appreciated the safety precautions.

Casa Maguey was one of the best places we’ve stayed at in all our travels through Mexico! We felt incredibly at home here. The design is beautiful and we could tell that a lot of love went into remodelling this beautiful traditional Mexican house. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, a great shower, and even a desk. There are two terraces, so enough space to do a workout in the morning or have dinner / drinks in the evening. The owners, a young couple, are very friendly, interesting and ready to give advice on their favourite places in Mexico City. We were allowed to use their spacious kitchen which was awesome. The location is safe and quiet, very non-touristy, but seems authentic with good and cheap eats. It’s super fast to the City center by metro. Don’t hesitate to book!

Nice accommodation for the price. We liked being able to use the kitchen as well as relaxing and having coffee on outside patio. The hosts were great, making us at ease. They also provided good suggestions on local stores and resto as well as what to see in the city. The house is minutes from a great bakery and coffee place. There are many little local resto. House is10 min walk to the metro. This a quiet neighborhood .

We love that place so much! It is very relaxing, has a lot of space to offer (inside and outside), the kitchen is well equipped, everything is clean, rooms have a very good size, the house has a lot of plants and color. Just perfect!
We stayed 3 weeks at this very special place, which is also located very close to a Metro Station (8 min. by walking).
The hosts are the best we could have ever ask for - all relaxed, open minded, there was a lot of knowledge exchange, lots of fun and their two dogs (small size) are very cute.
So if you are looking for a joyful, relaxing and calm place to stay at, you should definitely come here!

Great place with a very relaxed vibe. Love that there are plants and books all around. Kitchen fully equipped and great wifi. Room is larger than the usual room you'd find elsewhere.
Good spot if you need to work while staying here as well, room comes with a proper desk and chair and wifi signal great all round. Common areas also very inviting for chilling as well as for getting work done.
