Clean and comfortable bog house with enough space.
The pathway to the house needs to be repaired.

David kept in touch and returned messages very quickly, also the house was perfect
7.0 / 10.0
David the host was very accommodating and communication before arriving was good, and the fact we could take our house cat was excellent.
The bed we stayed in was a little bit creaky other than that it was good.

Gorgeously decorated property. Lovely attic room. Helpful hosts. Well located for our purpose of local family research and a trip to Cresswell Craggs

The place was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
The layout is quirky.
The price was great.
Parking was fiddly and the road hard to spot.
There is no outdoor privacy (we might not have noticed but for the heatwave).
The layout is quirky (yes that's in both).

I have waited over a week to write this review to calm down a bit and try to write an honest and fair review. As we drove into the road which in all fairness looked a bit like a rubbish dump, past the groups congregating outside houses drinking cans of beer and smoking suspicious smelling cigarettes we thought (hoped) we may be in the wrong place - we were not. I cannot comment on the inside of the house or the facilities because we did not go in, we pulled up outside the property and did not even get out of the car. Even if we had managed to squeeze our car into the allocated space in between all the other cars some of which looked abandoned and one up on bricks we did not feel comfortable leaving it there. The 'enclosed' garden which is not even attached to the property but across the road was only fenced on three sides leaving one side totally open to the road.....not sure how you can advertise this as an enclosed garden for pets but its not safe at all. Needless to say we did not stay here. The host was very rude and refused to give us a refund - maybe he can use our money to invest in a fence for the fourth side of the garden so it actually is enclosed. Don't waste your money - you will be very disappointed!!!

It was clean, bright and comfortable. David answered all my questions quickly and was helpful about the local area.
It’s not something “wrong”. But just a heads up for others booking - the stairs are very steep. So, little kids/elderly/impaired may struggle.

the property was clean and tidy with plenty of room to park nice quiet area
Great facilities it had everything we needed

clean & comfortable, close to small local shops. friendly neighbours.
it stated on booking.com that one of the available facilities was a washing machine, however although there was a washing machine at the property it had a label on it saying ‘not for guest use’ fortunately we only stayed for a long weekend but this would put me off staying again in the future if I needed to stay longer.

My contact, David, was very helpful before our stay and communication was easy and timely. I had a last minute issue which he was very understanding about. One of my 3yr old twins added that he 'loves the lights in the plants' in the living room!
There wasn't anything that we found to our dislike.

Lovely house. Very comfortable and nice and warm and cosy just right for what we needed it for.
Need more cutlery but we did cope with what was there for a couple of nights

Totally self-catering which, as far as I'm concerned - was exactly what I wanted.
Visiting the area just for a nostalgic few days to visit places I had frequented with my late partner, so I wasn't too bothered about the property - but it was superb.
Parking no problem for one car. Mine, a very long wheelbase, fitted nicely on the graveled area at the front, with space for another smaller car outside the garage doors at the rear. Ideal if bringing 2 cars, which could easily happen as the property sleeps up to 7, including making use of the optional Z Bed.
All rooms were very clean and tidy and the owners seem to have though of everything to make your stay a pleasant one.
Maybe the only one draw-back which, fortunately is not yet a problem for me - but could be for more elderly and maybe infirm residents (young kiddies would also need to be kept watch on) - the stairs to both floors are very steep - but take it steady and it's fine.
Everything was absolutely fine.
No problems at all with all facilities thought of.
I was only there for 2 nights - but the first morning a neighbour was doing body work on a truck, which was rather noisy, but it didn't last long and, hey - it's a residential area. People live there - so no problem.
One neighbour has two dogs - which may frighten young children because they are very friendly and like to bound up to say hello - but they are fine. Absolutely no problem and, if we hadn't seen them, would not have even known they were there.
Never heard them bark once!

Plenty of room in house, good wifi connection, plenty of towels provided and excellent non slip bath mat.
Host responded extremely quickly to all email inquiries and questions before our stay
Extremely noisy neighbors woke us both up every morning at 6.30am or 7am not what we wanted on a vacation.
Parking can be a bit limited for multiple and large vehicles, some areas of missed cleaning on floors, noisy metal bed frame.
