Beautiful tub! Felt like you were staying in a room in your own house... if you were rich and lived in a mansion lol! Will stay again!
Not much to complain about here!

We were there for our wedding with Wedgewood. It was amazing!
It would have been nice to have more food options. I wish they still had a restaurant.

This is a perfect location in Sacramento, close to the state capitol. A large room with spa tub and exceptionally comfortable bed. I would probably stay here again if I didn't need internet access.
No wifi access. No nighttime staffing. TV remote lacked batteries.

Very nice and clean , great value!
Our room had a spa tub, which was a great surprise !
We got in after hours and it wasn’t super clear where the entrance was

I was pleasantly surprised by this property. The checkin process was smooth and our room was spacious and clean.

The rooms were as I expected and wanted. A historic setting with the proper furniture. The staff was friendly. I was able to walk to my event along with other places in a short period.
The snack area could have some more options for possible breakfast. Had some fruit and food bars with muffins. Could use two coffee machines so more than one person can get coffee at a time.

Do not stay here! Nothing like the pictures. Outdated facilities with visibly not clean glass door for the bath tub and leaky sink faucet. The carpet is was STIFF and clearly had not been cleaned in a while. There was what looked like a blood smear on the door to our hallway which should have been a red flag. The front desk lady was behind bars so we could tell that this was not a good part of town. Do not walk to this hotel at night! We did not stay the night and checked out after dinner the same day we checked in. I left the keys with the front desk lady and told her we would not be staying the night and she said okay and sent us on our way completely unbothered. Customer service was contacting me the whole day leading up to my stay and even the morning after when I was supposed to stay. I texted them back for a refund and haven’t heard a word back since. I paid 300 for one night and definitely regret it.

The hotel was beautiful. Great location! Lots of natural light, very large bathroom. Fridge in room and coffee. Bed was very comfortable.
The "snacks" they offered were sparse. Could've just been because no one is at the front desk over night and we went down before the morning staff arrived.

Property was beautiful, and very clean.
In my bathroom, the window to the street was essentially floor to ceiling right next to the toilet. the glass was both stained and textured so you could not really see through the window either way. But it gave me a perception of a lack of privacy, and there seemed to be no way to cover the window. When I was in the most vulnerable bathroom position, I did so with the light off.

Issue with heater, noise, lack of staff after 5.00pm, lack of interest on resolving the heater issue.

the location
the jail cell reception area. the stale cookies. the $50 extra fee for a pet. the cold water and inoperable shower in the room. which other travelers had flagged.

Historic feel.
Lack of staff. Noise of band playing at wedding reception. Dirty dining area. Staff foiled surprise I had planned when my sister arrived in her room with a gift basket… staff informed her, “Oh, your family is here in the hotel!”😳

Couldn't get on the wi-fi. It kept disappearing before I could log in. Complained at desk, they never contacted me to resolve the problem.
The staff were marginally helpful. Answered questions and took my money but didn't extend themselves. The free coffee/tea only had hazelnut flavored creamer. No effort to have something else for guests. I had asked about having a small gathering before the graduation I was attending - they said I could but did not inform me that the entire open space was being used for a wedding. In fact, I couldn't even go out the front door because they were taking pictures. I had to weave my way through the downstairs to find an exit I could use to attend my event on time. Also, I asked about whether there was free parking at the meters for handicapped. The people there didn't know. So I paid $20 to use the meters and then later found that it was free for handicapped. Not impressed with the staff, but the hotel itself was nice.
