The hostel’s decor is cool, very artistic and fun throughout. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers for the guests, and they were very clean. The room was also very clean, with large drawers under the bed to store your luggage. The breakfast was good, with lots of options including cereals, jams, bread, fruit, yogurt, juices, and hot beverages. The location is also great, within walking distance of the main attractions.
Nothing.

Really friendly, helpful staff. Cute little place and great facilities. Great price. Although it was a simple breakfast included, there was still plenty of different things to choose from, plus there was dairy free milk/butter etc which was great. Would definitely stay again.
The only thing that comes to mind is the mattresses were a tiny bit hard for my liking but with everything else being so great I can't really complain.

Absolutely adorable property in a lovely quiet old area. We love the fact that it’s part of a societal enterprise for the arts and the interior reflects this. We had the Snowstorm double room which was cute, quirky and featured a very comfortable bed, excellent pillows, toiletries and a very welcome electric fan.
The staff are absolutely brilliant - so friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful. I love the board in the reception area with recommendations by staff of places to eat, drink and visit. The recommendation of a local pub having eyed us up and asked what we like to do was beyond spot on - we saw two fantastic bands and felt incredibly welcome. In addition to this, after I plugged my phone in but forgot to switch it on, the team were happy to call us a cab to the station. We wished we could stay longer than one night.

I have visited about 10-15 hostels before and I must say this was definitely ine of the nicer ones. Here is a list of the good things:
- Free breakfast (as a Dutch person I love free things)
- more free food in the fridge even
- LOADS of bathrooms and showers (I never had to wait)
- huge lockers under the beds
- the uniqueness of the hostel regarding its artsy vibe
Of course it depends of what you're looking for in a stay, but if you're a solo traveler who wants to meet people and you do not necessarily want to party like crazy, Art Hostel is the right place. The staff was friendly and happy to hang out with you. I had a good time with Willow and Michael and the others of course.
Only minor inconvience for me was the fact that the windows in the bedrooms were very big and since other guests had put them open, the room got quite cold. I don't know if this is in every room the case, but I myself prefer to close rooms/curtains not for too much daylight to come in as well.

Ideal location and very friendly staff (especially, Eiry)!
Toilets could have been cleaner (especially the floors)!

The staff were very professional and friendly the room we stayed in was quirky and loved the art theme of the private room
The location round the back of the buildings felt a bit sketchy, if I was a single female I might not feel too comfortable

I didn’t partake in the breakfast but it smelled great!
The staff are a friendly bunch, even to someone who can look as unapproachable as myself haha.
All in all, fantastic stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a wallet friendly stay in a truly unique and vibrant establishment! 10/10
Nothing at all. I’m easy to please so the Art Hostel fully met and exceeded my expectations.

Easy to find and in a quiet and safe location; this is the best hotel stay I've had in a very long time.
The art & ambiance was fantastic - I could not have asked for more and contributed an extra something for the staff there to say thank you! The room speaks for itself, and is way better than any Hilton.
Staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming, and the other guests polite. I strongly recommend to anyone who is looking for a room in Leeds.
Nothing to improve - a perfect stay.

Nice idea, friendly and helpful staff. Nice shower and toilet facilities. Shame about the bed bugs.
There were bed bugs in the bed and also again when I changed beds. I slept for about an hour. It is common knowledge they hide in bedding and un-sealed natural wood, this is where they were. I don't doubt a guest would've bought these in but more needs to be done to get rid and prevent this as I was bitten and I hope I haven't got any with me and infest my own home. Someone could also have an allergy to the bites and if so, could be fatal.

Cleanness was acceptable, breakfasts were good, and decorations were impressive.
Pillows, blankets, and mattresses were terrible.
The shower heads were broken, and it was hard to take a hassle-free shower. The privacy and place for putting items near chargers were not enough.
The room was very cold during my visit in the middle of December.
4.3
The artsy ambiance was very nice, it felt secure, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We also liked that, for a hostel, it had several older guests and didn't have a party atmosphere. It wasn't too close to the city and required some walking, but Leeds was so lively and noisy that we ended up grateful we were a bit outside!
The nearest parking is a bit of a walk, including over a busy multiple-lane intersection, and it can only be paid through an app, which is an unpleasant surprise for the foreigner who has no option but to download it roaming. Check out the parking, then check in so you can use the hostel wifi to download the app before parking.
On the first day, we had a nice breakfast of toast, Vegemite, marmalade, and fruit. On the second, every single loaf of bread was moldy; we tried in vain to find any staff and ended up spending a lot of time just searching for bread ourselves with no luck. It's annoying when breakfast is included and you count on it before heading out for an early departure.

Comfiest bed I have ever slept in. They provided full size bottles of shower gel (mango) and shampoo (apple). The room was really cool and the whole place was super clean.
I have nothing to complain about for this accommodation.

The breakfast facilities was clean and enjoyable. Staff friendly and polite.
Pleasant apart from being charged twice.By Booking.com and the Arts Hotel too. Can you please arrange to sort this out and reimburse one payment. Otherwise a pleasant experience will be spoilt. Please reply.

Location 7/10,breakfast adequate.
Free towels for showers.
No available cold water in the basins to brush teeth with?
Toilet rolls not replenished!
4.3
reception staff helpful, the breakfast looked good self service, .I was up very early (just coffee) but it was there if needed.
room was nice and colourful and cosy.
I was put in a down stairs room. Not as good, like a basic hostel room. I asked to be moved upstairs. This was due to somebody who was not a nice person.
4.3
The breakfast was basic and appreciated. It would have been good to have something hot.
That I had to rent a towel.
4.3
Informal, with homely feel, & good shared facilities. Felt safe & secure. Location.
Private room could have done with armchair, chest of drawers or shelf for clothes etc.
4.3
The atmosphere is serene, the place is very clean, plus there's free food in the kitchen. It's a lovely place and affordable. I'll definitely recommend.
