About this farm stay rental
Our Berkshire rural retreat has been in our family for three generations where we’ve regularly rejuvenated with hiking, skiing, wildlife watching, and enjoyed the 100+ acre property. It is one of our cherished homes where we spend much of our downtime. We are happy to share our home with other conscientious families.
The home was recently renovated and is comfortable for young children as well as older adults.
The home accommodates multiple family groups and has 3 large bedrooms comfortable for adults as well as a triple bunk room for children. Two bedrooms include en-suites bathrooms in addition to a newly-added full bathroom shared by the other two bedrooms.
We enjoy cooking in the large, renovated farmhouse-style kitchen with a Viking stove, eating a meal in the formal library/dining room, and relaxing in the great room equipped with Samsung Frame TV, puzzles, board games, and a selection of children’s toys.
The home is a true indoor-outdoor retreat with multiple outdoor eating and entertainment areas including a breakfast-to-happy hour patio off the kitchen and a backyard fire pit patio for BBQs and s’mores.
We invite guests to help themselves in the vegetable garden, and please supervise children on the swing set.
This retreat wouldn’t be complete without back country hiking and scenic views. We invite guests to hike amongst the hay fields and into our woods. There are multiple water areas including a waterfall with canyon, ponds, and streams. Please note there is no swimming allowed in any of the water areas and children must be supervised.
This all-season retreat is accessible to nearby Berkshire and Hudson Valley towns and amenities including 15 minutes to Lenox, MA, West Stockbridge, MA, and Chatham, NY. Summer attractions include outdoor concerts at Tanglewood, swimming in nearby Queechy Lake, and an abundance of hiking trails and farm stands. Winter attractions include nearby Jiminy Peak for downhill skiing, and conservation area for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Wonderful spot, quiet and secluded but still close to a ton of stuff! Great kitchen and house, easy for 4 adults and 4 kids. Lots to do outside also. Would recommend and will look to stay again if we’re out in the Berkshires again!

We loved our stay. We had two families with small children. The kids loved the swingset and it was a great location overall. Only wish was for outdoor grilling. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a friend’s wedding and wanted a nice getaway rental home This was perfect. Beautiful property (unfortunately rainy for us) and lots of history.

This is a beautiful rural property in a great location in Columbia county. The property has a number of amenities, including an outdoor fire pit, well-appointed kitchen, swing set, and pond and small creek just down the hill. We went with one other family, and found it to be an ideal setting to get away from it all - we could count the number of cars passing by daily on one hand, and the only sounds we heard apart from the occasional train horn were those of nature (birds, insects, frogs, etc.).
The host was also very responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed prior to and during our arrival.

Awesome, private house that comfortably fit two families of four (4 total kids under 8). The house was spacious and comfortable - and yes, the kitchen is beautiful. The outside was great as well - the fire pit, swing set and trails were all thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to go back and would highly recommend.

We knew we were in the right place, when we watched from the living room window, our son-in-law release our 2 year old granddaughter from her car seat. Margot made a beeline for the swing set and never looked back. With books, toys, a kids table with doll house, and bunk beds, both girls were enthralled. The adults enjoyed a very comfortable, well appointed home with a spectacular country kitchen. My wife and I lived in the town of Chatham many years ago and this was a return to the area we loved so much and where our 2 children were born. This property reflected the same quality of life and nature we experienced once upon a time. We walked in the back fields, gathered around the fire pit at night, and admired the stars. If you are looking for a secluded but comfortable escape, this is your place.

We had such an amazing stay. The place was beautiful and the location was even better. All of the kids that stayed had so much on the playset on the property and the toys inside. Alyssa was an excellent host. She was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We would love to stay again in the future!

Great place Except hall shower needs fixing and sink clogged. Great place for walks.
Bedroom off living room needs head board for readers in bed and bed side table.

Close to everything we enjoy during our annual vacation in the Berkshires (Tanglewood, Theater in Stockbridge and Pittsfield, Mass MOCA and Clark, Jiminy Peak, Hancock Village, shopping and dining in Chatham, Lenox and Great Barrington), the home itself is a private oasis of forest, fields, long views of mountains, wildflowers and wildlife. We enjoyed wandering the surrounding property and well-maintained dirt roads as much as we enjoyed our customary tourist adventures. Gorgeous landscapes, starting with the view from the terrace.
Home was nicely laid out for our group. WiFi was a little iffy occasionally, but a price worth paying for the setting. My husband did remote office work a couple of days without any trouble.
The rental has an old school home share vibe, with ample evidence of current loving use by the host; and also prompt responses, generous accommodation of our needs, and helpful suggestions on specific local activities we asked about. We had a great time and would visit again!

Great stay for all ages
Plenty of space for our family of three and two sets of grandparents. My daughter loved all the toys and books and my parents loved having plenty of flowers and outdoor space. Close to wonderful restaurants in all directions. Also close to fun museums for day trips - Edith Wharton's home (The Mount) and a gilded age museum in Lenox. Host was very responsive and helpful with recommendations. We loved our stay here!

Fantastic home!
We had an excellent time. The house was even better than advertised. Well stocked with all the basics, spacious and comfortable. Located within 30 minutes of a great ski mountain, it was a great “home base”. Lots of toys for kids as well. My almost 6 year old didn’t want to leave! The homeowner was very responsive and helpful, even allowing checkin a bit early. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the house, and the property is beautiful! The whole family had a great time, and we would definitely come back and stay. The kids loved running around the yard and playing on the swing set, and the house is so close to many cute little towns. Would definitely recommend!
