Room is relatively basic but provides good value for money. Has an authentic feel to it. Booking through VRBO and the local agency is not efficient and confusing m.

This is a perfect place for a nice cozy bed and hot shower. No distracting tv in the room. You can really unplug.

Wonderful place. Just what I needed. Great location.
Easy walk to everything.

A gem in historic Apalachicola. This old guest house has been nicely updated to keep the original charm with modern updates. Convenient location and easy entry with a nice blast of cold air from an air conditioner that works like a champ. Mattresses were new and super comfortable. Enjoy the wraparound porch, rocking chairs and ambience of the entire place.

A wonderful stay as always.

Great location! Clean and comfortable. The shared kitchen was a nice feature, with great parking options right next to the building. There are 4 units in the building and we were the only ones staying there at this time, so that was nice.
Will definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay in the Sunshine Sojourn especially not having a tv, we never thought about the news or what was going on in the world. Just relaxing with the good people of Apalachicola and wondering the streets that my g-g grandfather did as a young man even spend time with him at the Chestnut Cemetery, just a very pleasant stay. Will stay again down the road. Thanks for the hospitality. Durward & Deborah

Loved every moment of our stay and room. Very clean & well decorated. Bed was super comfy. We were a little weary from some other reviews of being able to hear everyone else staying in other rooms, but we did not experience this issue. Our stay was perfect for our weekend getaway. We will definitely be back!

Very good stay. Location is excellent and the “shabby chic” appointments were interesting. May need to emphasize the number of stairs required to climb for more elderly persons and that there is no tv.

Very quaintly decor and very clean inside. Set up well and provisions was accommodating. The outside area could use some cleaning up. It looked very dumpy. The stairs were easy to climb but and elevator would be nice to get luggage up. It was quiet and peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. Thanks for a nice get away.

This was an ok place to stay but not for the cost. It is at the very end of historic district and there really were no great views. The doorknob on the outside of the room kept coming off, and on day 2 could not close/lock the door. This was repaired that day so the door would lock but still a problem with the door knob. The stairs are steep and the floors really creak. Also, could hear others people that were staying there in other rooms/common area.

If you want to get away from it all this is the place to do it. Old rustic charm within walking distance of everything

A quirky but great large room with big bathroom. Took a few goes to get door open when arrived but worked it out. My only criticism applies to many US establishments and that is use of disposable plastic in the kitchen. Needed some bowls. Good location. Would recommend

The Bowery has unique charm! We truly enjoyed our stay! The bed was the most comfortable; I have ever slept on anywhere we have ever stayed! Very quiet and also a nice big porch to sit and rock! You cannot go wrong by staying here!

Second stay at the property, we love the Bowery Inn!

Getting reservation confirmation was a complete hassel. There is no staff on premises and we had to call for instructions to get in the building and our room. The touch pad to get into the room took multiple tries (every time). The room was noisy (old building which can be expected) and there was NO breakfast making the claim to be a B&B completely false. The room was clean and charming and the location is "walk friendly".

Older property that has been restored to a nice state. Little noise insulation but overall I would recommend it.

Great space, close to everything
I love staying at the Bowery, especially because of the porch! The rooms are creatively restored and funky/rustic/charming and so comfortable.

Cozy and charming
We loved our stay at the Bowery Inn. Everything was clean and comfortable. Very unique and interesting! We were the only room rented while we were there and think it may have been a bit noisy if there were others rented but will definitely come back for another stay to find out. We loved it!!

Beautiful!
My husband and I went for the weekend to celebrate our 21st anniversary. We stayed in the Sunshine room and it was absolutely beautiful! The room and property was exactly how it was described in the listing.

Bowery Inn June one night stay
Overall the property and room was fine, but it’s not a Hampton Inn or like any chain. The lock on the room door is just not secure enough, it had one of those screw in slide locks which didn’t work on our room. It did have an smart lock but it just didn’t seem strong enough. I think a strong kick would have opened the door. There was no fridge in the room and no phone and no TV, not having a fridge was the only thing we needed. There is a community fridge down the hall but I would not put items in there. Also no coffee machine in the room but a community Keurig was available and that was fine.
The shower head in our room was pretty corroded but it had plenty of water pressure. The lights in the hall shine into rooms so even if we left them on, someone would turn them off. Our room was the last room on the left and the hallway was pretty dark when we got there at 11:30pm.

The location, the finishes, the historic ambiance plus modern conveniences (including the most comfortable beds, lovely artisan bath products, and *very* good air conditioning) — I always enjoy my time at the Bowery Inn.

Off the grid perfection!
Easy rental and communication resulted in a perfect stay!

Great location!
Everything in the unit was as described. We chose this out of the 4 possible units in the building because it was set slightly off from the shared space. We really enjoyed the small upper deck for watching boats and later for some star-gazing (we recommend a new door handle on this access door) - and the coffee was a great touch. The location was perfect for us to walk to dinner, the water, and downtown.
