We hosted a summer work retreat, and loved the accommodations.
There was plenty of seating, both for dining and lounging.
The location was walkable both to the lake and downtown Ludington.
We only had one small inconvenience that 2 of the bedroom doors are barn doors, therefore lacking in privacy (which made it a touch uncomfortable while staying with colleagues).
All in all, we had a wonderful time!

We loved our stay at this rental within walking distance of the downtown and beach. There was ample room, bright, pretty, newer appliances and probably better than the pictures. We had an issue with the fridge, but the owner was available and prompt to address it. The issue may have been too much new food all at once that dropped the temperature. It did seem to recover, once we gave it time. I've never experienced this phenomenon before despite many rentals over many years-- I blame the new technology, as it was a new fridge. Great stay! Thank you!

My friends and I had an awesome stay at this house! It easily fit our large group of 12 and was walking distance to the beach and everything in town.

A great place especially for ALL the ages of our family! We have rented 4 VRBO homes in Ludington total. This is the first home within the city! The walk ability was fantastic- - beach, putt putt golf, skate park and stores. I’d highly recommend this home. The only issue we had was with the co-owner who totally disregarded our concern. The kitchen air conditioner was leaking and water was running down the wall, so we turned it off as a conscientious renter. All week we left it off and he never sent a person to assess this problem!

We absolutely loved this house! We had our wedding in town and had our wedding party all stay with us. Those had hadnt visited Ludington really loved how it was close to the beach and down town. The house was beautifully renovated and decorated. It made our wedding weekend even better!

This large home is in a fantastic location in the heart of Ludington and only one block from Lake Michigan beach. We could walk to the beach, get an ice cream cone at House of Flavors, or check out the local art fair. The house had a nice big dining room table where the whole family could gather for meals and games. We also enjoyed the hot tub and yard games. The kitchen was equipped with cookware and dishes so we could cook group meals and the extra refrigerator in the garage was very helpful.
The house matched the description in the listing, however we were surprised by 2 things—3 of the upstairs bedrooms have sliding barn doors that don’t close fully so there is not full privacy in these rooms. And for guests with mobility concerns, although the first floor bathroom is large, there is a pinch point at the entrance to the bathroom so my family member’s walker did not fit through without folding it. Once inside the bathroom there was plenty of room for the walker. The railings on the front steps and back steps were sturdy and he could access the first floor safely. And the nearby beach has excellent access for someone using a walker.

This home was very well equipped and in an ideal location in a lovely residential neighborhood with a short walk to the beach and to downtown businesses. We had ample space for our family group of 14 which included two toddlers and an infant. This was a great choice for us and we look forward to returning!

Our family had such a wonderful vacation at this house! We’ve been coming to Ludington for years and this is the first time we’ve felt like we had enough space and everyone in the group was really comfortable. The games in the house were great to keep kids entertained (and fun for adults, too) and there was plenty of space for people of all ages to spend time in, separately or gathered together. The location can’t be beat! We loved it here and are looking forward to coming back next summer.

We had a family gathering in Ludington with our four children's families and the house served us well. The open floor plan on the first floor provided lots of open space for us all to be together while there were enough rooms for privacy. If you enjoy interestingly repurposed grand legacy houses, this is the place for you. You also can't beat the short walk to the beach and House of Flavors!

There was plenty of room, things to do, places to sleep, etc in this excellent property. Even on a cold dreary weekend.

This is a beautifully restored older home with it’s unique charm left intact. It was perfect for our family of 11 with bedrooms to spare. It has all new amenities, comfortable beds, a beautiful hot tub and propane fire table. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more.
A rainy day was not a problem with a kids playroom, arcade gaming system, fooseball table, air hockey table and shuffle board.
We walked a block to the beach and all over town. Beach toys, towels, sand mat and cart are included. Several bikes are available as well.
The location could not be better and we hope to be back next year!!

We are a large, extended family, ranging from teenagers to seniors. Location was excellent, a short walk to the beach as well as downtown. Kitchen and baths were clean, spacious, and well stocked with needed items. Furnishings were new and tastefully done. Beds were comfortable. With separate air conditioning units in each room, temperatures were adjustable throughout. We would strongly recommend this large and comfortable house for your next vacation.

Beautiful updated home with original details adding to its charm. The Ashby's have worked hard to create a welcoming vacation home within walking distance of the beach and lighthouse. Too many great things to possibly mention. Absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend.
