This Blue River cabin was just perfect for our recent visit to Breckenridge. Great location not far from the main hotspots in Breckenridge, but far enough away that we felt like we truly were in a mountain cabin instead of a busy ski village packed with people. Very well appointed and comfortable. Nicely decorated and large enough to have seating to gather for family dinners and all round relaxing. Beds were large and very comfortable, and bathrooms had all the essentials with plenty of linens. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be close enough to central Breckenridge (which was less than an 8 minute drive), but far enough away that you can really appreciate a more peaceful mountain vacation.

The house was nice. Had everything that was necessary. Far enough out of town to be quiet, but close enough for convenience. We enjoyed our stay.

Our family enjoyed this home. With the amenities like the hot tub which was a great way to end the day! It is close to shopping and dining.

Our stay was amazing!! The house is beautiful and very clean. It has all the amenities you need to make your stay feel like a home away from home. Getting into tho jacuzzi after a long day of skiing was the best! Scott was quick to respond to all of our questions. We would highly recommend this house for any vacation!

Cozy and quaint home to stay in during our break hiking in Colorado with our little family! The treehouse was a hit with the children. It snowed while we were there, and the hot tub was just perfect to gaze at the stars and get some rejuvenating time. The upstairs shower was nice and had a great feature of two shower heads. The kids liked the game room. Beds were comfy and bunkbeds kept the children sleeping soundly! We utilized the Traeger, and the steaks and salmon came out tasting fabulous! Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet neighborhood close to Breckenridge and other hiking trails.

We had a great stay. The area was amazing and close to what we needed. We even got to check in a little earlier which was great given the time difference. Playroom was great to have and the kids loved it. House was clean but the only thing that threw us off were minor details.
The upstairs bathroom soap was pretty much out when got there. No dishwasher pods for the dishwasher (minor issue) and we just had to hand wash which was fine. The big thing for me was that there pet hair everywhere and we didn’t take any pets (which is partly my fault for not reading it was pet friendly) but I did not expect to be finding pet hairs on our clothes and blankets for days after.
Also, the battery for the front door lock died while we were there and as I called our contact and he just stated it wasn’t an safety issue.. it should be fine given the area.. but all of our stuff was there and personally I couldn’t feel safe us leaving and the door not able to be locked. I couldn’t find any extra batteries either. Ultimately I took the ones from the controller and it was fine.
I would definitely recommend just not for my family.

Our family of 6 including our fur baby had such a great time at the Blue River retreat! There were plenty of things for our family to do at the cabin with the game room and hot tub and we were a close drive to town, trails, fishing! Scott was so accommodating and very responsive!

We all really enjoyed the Blue River retreat. The house was clean and a good size for 7 people. Good location with lots to do nearby. The kids really liked the tree house in the backyard. Would recommend this house to other groups looking for a place to stay near Breckenridge.

An amazing place to spend the holidays with friends/family. Very easy access to Breck, but had more fun just enjoying the space. Overall one of the best places we’ve stayed. Will be back in the future.

Overall, this property was great for my small family: one 8 year old daughter, grandma and my husband. We were not skiing this trip but instead wanted to play in the snow with our daughter, and go sledding, ice-skating, etc. It is 10 minutes outside of Breckenridge, so we did a lot of driving to go sledding, ice skating, shopping, etc. Some people will not like this. So it depends on what you personally want. We loved the location and the tree house. However, the listing showed pictures of a game room. There was no game room. I think the garage used to be a game room. This upset my daughter because we showed her the pictures in advance. So if you have kids that want another space to hang out, there isn't any, just the living room. The two king beds were not very comfortable, and the pillows were terrible. There is no bathtub in any bathroom. If you have a younger child that needs a bath at night, this will be a problem. Our daughter has autism, and routines are important. She is a bit older now, so we were able to use the hot tub as her bath after dinner, then the shower and bed. There were also no kitchen towels, just two washcloths and no extra. There was one cleaning sponge to wash dishes and nothing else. It was difficult to wash dishes with basically nothing. We also need more pans to cook. I wanted to cook spaghetti and there were only small pots and one huge steamer type pan. There were also no hot hands to take hot things out of the oven. Overall, it worked for us. But the communication with the cleaners needs improvement. Our check-out time clearly stated 10:00 AM on our confirmation. But the cleaners arrived at 8:00 AM and said the house showed empty. We showed her our dates and confirmation. It was annoying to have to deal with that situation.

This place was amazing! Loved everything about this house, and didn’t want to leave. The hot tub with the outdoor lights was so nice to relax in after skiing! Downtown and the ski resort are only a short drive away making the location so convenient. Will definitely stay here again !

Enjoyed our stay at the treehouse.
Since we brought our toddler grandson, it helped that the owner sent us a map to the pkayground.

We loved our stay in the blue river Cabin. Perfectly close to Breck with the seclusion and privacy of the woods. The cabin was clean, beds were comfortable, all the necessities, the kids loved the tree house, and we had such a great time exploring the cute trails of blue river. We even found a fairy garden the kids loved! Our dog also had the time of his life so we are very thankful they allow pets! Amazing stay we can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic
Lots of things available but set up is quirky. Very clean and in great location, close but secluded. Lots of extras and easy to use.

This location had it all. Loved the treehouse and game room for the kids. Loved the hot tub for the family. The rooms were cozy and comfy. Lots of attention to detail in the kitchen with plenty of plates and bowls and things for little kids like sippy cups. The board games and books were a nice touch. Really wish we could have gotten the fireplace to turn on but I guess we weren’t patient enough. Will definitely keep this in mind for a future visit.

Great cabin near Breckenridge
My friends and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway from Denver. We really enjoyed the cabin and all of the fun "extras." Between the game room, hot tub, and games, there was something for everyone. We would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the back patio and fire pit! Highly recommend this spot.

Amazing property!!!
Absolutely awesome. My family and I had the best time. Cabin has everything you need kitchen wise. The amenities list left my wife with a few questions. Hopefully our answers will alleviate your packing list because the cabin is anything but spartan. The fire pit has wood, no need to buy some on the way in. Traeger has pellets... Kitchen has more than the necessities including a crock pot. If your a regular smoothie type i didn't see a blender. Coffee pot has a built in filter and uses regular grounds. Cabin has a decent spice rack and condiments. Board games and cards. Overall was probably the best vacation my family has had, ever.... Staying here is an unforgettable experience.

Awesome Cabin
My family had the best time staying here! It was the perfect set up for our family (2 adults, 14, 12, 10, & 7). Exactly as advertised. Perfect distance to downtown Breck.
