About this house rental
Quaint and convenient for your winter, summer, spring, and fall activities in the beautiful mountain town of Bethel Maine. This home is a great option for your "stay and play getaway" while exploring the mountains and nature, surrounded by greenery with plenty of outdoor space. The house is located approximately 9 miles from Sunday River Ski Mountain, 6 miles from the Bethel Inn and Golf Course, Bethel Outdoor Adventures, mountain biking and hiking trails, snowmobiling, ATV'ing, etc.
Our family has enjoyed the Bethel Area and Sunday River for several years. Our kids evolved from skiing Sunapee, Waterville Valley, Attitash, and finally found the best mountain in the East, Sunday River! This mountain has the most snow and the most terrain, with variety of skill level trails and 8 peaks giving you plenty of new terrain to explore over several days.
The house: Upstairs you will find an inviting living room with plenty of seating available and a futon in the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, cookware, and utensils. There is a large dining table as well. The front deck is great for relaxing and taking in the fresh air. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main level, with queen beds in the first two bedrooms and two bunk beds in the third. There is an additional 4th bedroom on the garden level / game room area, which also includes a pool table and ping pong table , along with second media and living room on the lower level. Outside there is a picnic table, grill, and two fire pits available for outdoor leisure.
Please note that the house is on a well and the more water devices you use at the same time (like the 2 showers, dishwasher, and washing machine) the lower the water pressure.
We do allow dogs for an additional fee of $10/day but we do not allow Pit Bulls or Rot Weillers. We ask that you kindly be sure to make sure your dog does not wander off of the property as several of the neighbors have chickens and other small farm animals that dogs might antagonize or attack. We can not accept dogs with a biting history.
We recommend storing mountain bikes and similar type of equipment in the lower level, which can be accessed from the right side driveway. The shed will be made available for stays longer than 2 weeks. There are tools that could be dangerous for children that will need to be moved. Feel free to explore the back of the property. There are several trails.
We respectfully ask that you abide by the following important house rules:\
1. Extinguish all fires fully with the hose prior to leaving the area.
2. Prior to check out, strip all beds and pillows, put furniture back in the place you found it, load the dishwasher with any used dishes, glasses, etc, and start it, remove all trash and put it in the trash bin next to the shed. Dogs are 1/night.

We had a good stay, and overall the property was fine. The main portion of the house was clean and comfortable.
Only one note - the bedroom in the basement (sleeps 2) was very chilly and didn't seem to have any heat.

Not worth the money
Having visited Bethel multiple times, this was not what we expected for the price. Bookings are handled by another business, which I suspect drives up the price.
The house may sleep 11, technically, but it does not accommodate anywhere near that many. It is rather small. It would have required every seat on the main floor for ten people to sit down simultaneously. There are only six plates, bowls, forks, etc. There is no pot large enough to cook pasta for six, let alone 10. No wine glasses. Only one baking sheet.
It looked like the intention was for the ping pong table to be assembled on top of the pool table (which wasn't in great shape), but it was broken.

Nice house - convenient to Sunday River
The house was as advertised and worked well for our family for a ski trip.

Ski week before Xmas
Nice location, snowshoed in the land in back of house. Pleasant and just what we needed for a ski vacation at Sunday River.
