About this house rental
Casa Ángel was designed by Miguel Valverde, a well known Mexican Architect whose work has been featured in House of the Pacific Coast. It is a lovely home with a fantastic setting. The expansive ocean view includes a long stretch of rugged coastline, the palm-lined beach, as well as the lagoon where the fishermen of Sayulita moor their boats. On the land side, Casa Angel sits directly beside a wild and completely undeveloped jungle canyon. The ocean breezes are nearly constant and you can fall asleep to the gentle sounds of waves breaking on the shore. At nihjt, the lights of Sayulita glitter below. The sunsets are magnificent and in every room are large wooden doors and windows, which fold open to create an airy indoor/ outdoor lifestyle perfect for the tropics.
Surrounding Casa Angel is an extensive, flower filled garden and lawn. The salt water pool is large enough to swim laps and perfect for lounging in the sunshine or taking a night swim in the sparkling illuminated pool.
Casa Ángel features three separate bedrooms with adjoined bathrooms. The upstairs master has a flower box filled with beautiful blossoms. The lilac bedroom downstairs opens directly onto the patio and the pool and not only has a gorgeous ocean view but jungle views as well. The house can sleep up to six people or more if needed there are blow up mattresses for an extra child or two.
Casa Ángel offers luxury furnishings throughout. In the master bedroom you can find hardwood furniture from Malaysia, the Azul bedroom has local Mexican furniture and in the Lilac bedroom a beautiful white for post bed with a canopy. Lounge chairs imported from the United States in the pool area along with outdoor dining table and chairs. The kitchen and the patio are crafted with mango colored local rock called Tekal. An elegant sofa and tribal rug grave the living room and a small round dining table and chairs made by an artisan who works in a small village outside Guadalajara.
Carmina our maid will clean three days a week except Sunday. Our local English/Spanish speaking house manager and I will be available to handle any problems or questions. AC is available in all 3 bedrooms during the summer months and is not needed at other times because of the ocean breezes. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes but because the house sits on a hill, if you are disabled or walking is difficult, you may want to bring a car which you can park in the carport next to the garden gate or rent an electric cart. The house is located on a good cobblestone road, only a 10 minute walk to town.
Sayulita has ongoing construction projects throughout the town which may or may not take place during your stay.

The place is beautiful and in a great location

The house is architecturally beautiful, but we were disappointed to experience plumbing problems, and more disappointed with the way the plumbing problems were handled by the manager. My family was stuck at the house while the plumber worked in the master bedroom/bath. It was clear this was not a new leak. We don't expect older homes to be perfect, but we do not expect to deal with obvious and significant leaks. The house was nice and well-furnished. The pool and patio were beautiful.

We just got back from a 5 night stay at Casa Angel. 2 adults and 2 kids. The house is stunning. The pool was large and inviting. And the sunsets were absolutely incredible! You can’t go wrong with this view. The town of Sayulita is so cute and fun. Very boho surf/beach town which was just the vibe we were going for. And there were many delicious food options in town. We chose this place because we wanted to be away from the party scene at night and get some true R&R.

We enjoyed the home. The layout is very comfortable and open. The pool and the view are amazing. There was definitely a need for a few upgrades but nothing major.

We were 3 couples and very much enjoyed our stay. Perfectly situated pool to appreciate the beautiful hills and ocean views. Three bedrooms, each with own bathroom. Clean and well appointed. Only one king bed. Because on steep hill with other houses nearby, noise travels up. If mobility an issue, may be hard to access unless have car or golf carts.

We loved our stay at casa angel! It was perfect for our kids and the grandparents. The beds were comfy and the pool was fabulous. The beautiful gardens were so lovely. Casa Angel was an oasis from the busy town but with our golf carts we could be at the beach in less the 10 minutes. Thank you to Itzel the manager for great communication and support with all our needs.

Overall our stay here was amazing and this house had everything and more! Communication with the house manager was so easy and quick. We took them up on their recommended driver and golf cart and everything went great! We will absolutely be coming back and staying here again. Thank you!!

Casa Angel is simply marvelous in every aspect. The pictures and written descriptions are 100% accurate. From beginning to end, the process starting with my first outreach until we left the house was fabulous. Itzel (the house manager) was super responsive offering to meet us on our arrival to show us around (which was not necessary due to the quality of the pre-arrival communication). She was also extremely helpful in assisting us with other needs that we had during the stay and for recommendations about activities, restaurants, transportation, etc.
The house itself is nothing short of spectacular. The views and pictures speak for themselves and, if anything, understate the beauty and tranquility of the home and neighborhood. Everything within the home works exceptionally well, including hot water, air conditioning, lighting, kitchen appliances, linens, indoor and outdoor furniture, WiFi, The pool is immaculate and the water was pleasantly warm. Since our stay was relatively brief, we only interacted once with Carmina and she also did a great job keeping the house beautifully clean. In short, the place is fantastic.
Numerous others have commented about the steep climb up (and down!), which is what affords the magnificent views. We rented a golf cart at first but there were only a few places that would rent to us because not all golf carts are strong enough for the steep hill. We decided to return the cart after the first day because cabs are so easy and affor

We loved our stay. Great views from the hillside. The house was great and the town was really fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. That said, here are the two things we wish we had known:
- no alarm system - welcome book said they had it and strongly recommended using it at all times, but turns out it is extremely old and does not work
- laundry is only accessible to the maids (in a locked room). The maids will do your laundry upon request
That said, those are both minor inconveniences - would definitely stay again

The property was beautifully located on top of the hill with a gorgeous view. The house had most everything we needed for a long weekend. The owner was really accommodating and easy to communicate with. We rented a golf cart and that was really helpful in getting around. There were a lot of bugs so bring bugs spray.

House is great and the view of the bay is amazing. Pool is very nice. Only downside is that the house is near the top of a VERY steep hill, it’s essentially mandatory to rent a golf cart unless you want to hike uphill for 5-10 mins every time you head back. The golf carts still struggle with the grade, we had a smoking motor a couple times after going up with 4 people onboard. Not a real issue, just something to plan for.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time staying here. We have 2 teenaged boys, 17 and 18, and we had plenty of room. The house is as advertised. Up on hill with an amazing view, ocean breezes, and a great pool that we spent a lot of time in. The setting is idyllic with gorgeous landscaping and views from every room, parking for 2 cars, good internet, charging for golf carts, and more. We visited a few of the other properties we were considering and are so glad we chose this place. It's better than the pictures.

We had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect in every way. Every room in the house has a beautiful view and conveniently located just a short distance from town.
Shelley was very accommodating and communicative. We really appreciated her help when we first arrived. My friends and I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely stay here again!

The house is very nice, comfortable and has a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The location is difficult due to a steep hill, but we knew that going in. The golf cart as recommended by the host made it up the hill fine and it was easy to access with the garage right off the road. The house is in a great location. There was a lot of construction going on across the street that started at 7:00 AM each day with jackhammers and other machinery. It was loud and annoying, and I realize that this is not the host's fault, but maybe it should be mentioned in the text of the listing. It will clearly go on for more than a year because they are just starting the build. My only complaint was with the property manager who saw that the golf cart was not in the garage (husbands had gone out for food) and just came into the house with two workers without knocking to ostensibly fix the dryer. I was sleeping and my friend was in the shower. We were startled beyond belief and did not know what was happening. It was frightening. All he said was oh I should have called or texted. Not cool at all and this would definitely cause me not to stay at the house again or recommend it.

This property is located high above the north section of Sayulita, looking South West towards the ocean and town. It was quiet when we were there and it felt like a little refuge after going out for dinner or down to the beach. It was hot when we were there and if you’re not fit, you’ll definitely want a golf cart as the hill to the property is quite steep. The trade off is that there isn’t much traffic and it was peaceful other than some local construction during the day. Eric, the property manager, was very helpful at check in and was in contact throughout. When there was a small leak (it’s Mexico) he was responsive and made sure we were taken care of. Everything in the home functioned perfectly and we would stay here again. We were four adults, but six could stay here easily. Thanks again to Eric and our hosts!

WE loved our stay at Casa Angel. The house and views are amazing. We loved the sounds at night, and just looking up at the dark sky full of stars.
Riding into town with the golf cart was fun. Eric is super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this property. Thank you :)

Fabulous house and heated pool. Views are stupendous. The art and architecture are lovely. Beds were heavenly.
We loved using our golf cart.
The fun, party scene of Sayulita are to be experienced. Fab. restaurants, margaritas on the beach, color, warmth, Mexican hospitality cannot be beat. We had a blast!

We had an amazing time at Casa Angel. Eric, the house manager, was responsive to our every need. We loved riding our golf cart throughout Sayulita, although the town is also very walkable. The location, view and comfort of this property can’t be beat. We entertained friends and family and would love to return.

It was fantastic from start to finish. Eric the property manager went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic.
You can hear the music from the town on the weekends, nothing crazy but it is a party town after all.

Our family of 4 adults loved our holiday stay at Casa Angel. It was exactly as advertised and a very unique experience. The property was up in the treetops amongst the sights and sounds of the jungle and interesting, indigenous birds and animals. Sleeping under the palapa roof was a very unique experience. The property manager Eric met us there with great instructions and communication the entire time from time of booking to completion of stay. Beds were comfy and ample linens (we did leave note for housekeeper Carmina to provide a few more bath towels). The pool was warm and nice for a quick dip before/after a day of exploring lively Sayulita. And the sunsets were spectacular! The property is on a very steep hill so be prepared for a good workout if walking to town. We did not rent a golf cart, as typical of most tourists visiting the town, but we did drive our car down to the bottom of the hill and park on the north end of town each day (less crowded and congested) Just a note that sound travels from the neighboring villas and Nanzal hill construction vehicles coming up the hill in the early morning, so earplugs are very helpful for light sleepers.
Overall great stay and thank you to Eric and Shelley (for accommodating a change from a last minute Covid cancellation last Christmas) Thank you!

We absolutely loved Casa Angel. It was perfect for our family of 4, including 2 teens. There was plenty of space for us to all hang out together, including a wonderful kitchen / great room, while also allowing us to retreat to our own rooms when we needed it. The pool and yard were like nothing I have ever seen before. We cooled off every afternoon in the pool and watched the sunset. The view was breath taking from all over the property. The grounds were beautiful and surrounded by beautiful plants. The property manager Eric was so helpful. And when we had a problem with our golf cart, he jumped right in and used his connections to get us taken care of immediately. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is on a huge hill. It is hard for the golf cart to get up it, and even some taxis. It's only a 10 minute walk down the hill to town, food, stores. So being up this hill isn't necessarily a bad thing because of the view you get! Would love to stay here again.

Pictures didn’t do it justice!
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Angel. The craftsmanship and details were highly appreciated; it felt like we were staying in a treehouse. Eric, the house manager was readily accessible to answer every inquiry. I doubt our stay could’ve been improved in any way. Very grateful the owner is willing to rent out this gem.

Beautiful home with amazing views
Everything about our stay at Casa Angel exceeded our expectations. We stayed 5 nights, my husband, my son and his girlfriend. Eric was informative and accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked about one third of our meals here. The pool was the perfect temperature and we hung out there alot. We rented a golf cart and it was nice to have, although the walk into town was fine as long as you weren't carrying groceries. I recommend packing ear plugs as the neighboring rentals and town was a little loud one night. The sunsets and the moon sets were amazing! We had a wonderful trip and can't wait to come back!

Large house with great view, busy street and loud nightlife
The house, pool and yard were beautiful and just as pictured. There is a lot of construction all around so quite a bit more traffic than we expected and early morning banging which would be ok on its own but we could also very clearly hear the nightlife of town until 2 or 3am. Eric, the local, American property manager, was a dream to work with, extremely helpful and responsive.

Thanksgiving holiday
Our family enjoyed the stay. We rented a golf cart which was a very good idea, the street is a bit steep. The nightlife is noisy and can be heard from the house, didn’t bother us but it’s worth noting. Beautiful view from the pool area. Would stay again (but would ask for more bath towels)

Amazing property!
This was the perfect location for my friends and me during our stay in Sayulita. The manager was super friendly and communicative. The house was beautiful and came with an amazing view and pool. Definitely recommend getting a golf cart which was key so we didn't have to walk up and down the hill!

Beautiful home w amazing pool!
Our family of 4 stayed at this beautiful home. We loved the location - away from the hustle of the city. The pool was well used after a day in town or on the beach as it was HOT in July! Highly recommend this property for couples or families w older kids. As it states, the stairs and back yard would be dangerous for young children.
Kitchen was well stocked w a water filtrate system and a big water dispenser. We bought basic groceries in Sayulita - bread, cheese, eggs, wine and beer. No need to stop at the big stores in PV.
A golf cart is a MUST for this location and it is advisable to reserve 2 weeks ahead of arrival. House is up a huge hill that is exhausting to walk - and we are fairly “fit”.
House comes w 4 beach chairs and beach towels which was fantastic. We took down to the beach 2 days and rented an umbrella and enjoyed the warm water in July. Beers are $2 on the beach. Ceviche is $10 for a huge portion!
We got our COVID test at St Luke’s Hospital in Sayulita for $50pp. Necessary for all travelers going into US.
Can’t wait to return to lovely Sayulita!

Beautiful views
The property is in a great location with beautiful views of the town of Sayulita and the bay…especially from the great pool. The house itself was a little dated with some issues with quite a bit of leaking in the kitchen and master bathroom. Overall a good place but it could be terrific with some investment as a rental property

Perfect View
This house is wonderful. You have a stunning view of the ocean and town from every room in the house. The house is nestled against the jungle and the beach is a quick 8 minute walk away. And the town is about 10 minutes away by foot. Check in and out was really easy and Eric was quick to respond to our questions. I highly recommend Casa Angel.

A beautiful villa in perfect location.
Everything was great with the exception of our arrival was over 2 hours late due to airplane issues. Eric and Seven Brothers were there for us all the way. Great job! Casa Angel definitely made it worthwhile.

Loved Casa Angel
Property manager, Eric, was outstanding. He provided recommendations of restaurants and places outside Sayulita to visit and helped us with transportation options. Really enjoyed many of the smaller places to eat.
Carmina showed up a few times to tidy the place up during our visit, but the real highlight was the two suppers she cooked for us. She cooks them at her home and then brings them to Casa Angel and sets them up. We loved her. Eric can help set that up for you as well. Highly recommended.
The kitchen has pretty much all you need for managing meals you don’t want to go out for. We stopped at the big new grocery store on the way from PV to Sayulita where we stocked up on essentials for the week. Then used the local markets to keep us stocked with the things we wanted to have around for meals that weren’t covered by Carmina or going to restaurants.
The private pool had a great view and was very well maintained. Watching the sunsets from the pool couldn’t be beat. Slept with the doors open at night and was lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf on the beach below.
Highly recommended.

Family fun at Casa Angel
Well this was a beautiful experience in every way. Thanks to Eric the property manager, we felt completely comfortable and safe and knowledgeable about the beautiful town of Sayulita. The location and property are safe, easy to find, and the view from the top of the hill is spectacular. We especially enjoyed the lightning and thunder every night. It was a majestic place. We also loved the many animals we saw: birds, iguanas, geckos, butterflies, etc. The home itself is clean and well-kept. The salt water pool was our kids’ favorite part. The air conditioner was a lifesaver in the rooms for a few hours at bedtime. Renting a golf cart for transportation around town is 100% worth it.
And the only hiccup was the washing machine was unable to be used due to a water shortage, and I was planning on the luxury of laundry. So that was a disappointment, especially given the heat and humidity made everyone in our family stinky at all times. But again Eric helped us get some laundry done and I experienced hand washing my clothing for the first time, which inspired gratefulness for my laundry situation back in the states.
Otherwise it was a beautiful city, amazing food, and Casa Angel really was the most beautiful place. We will be back!

Wonderful stay, excellent local host
We had a great time staying at Casa Angel. The house is as gorgeous as the pictures suggest. The property has coatis and iguanas in the backyard, which was fun for everyone. View is incredible. The hill to the house is steep- get a golf cart! Pool was regularly serviced, housekeeper was lovely and kept the house very clean. We would for sure stay here again.
