Tybee Dunes Oceanfront is a beach lover's dream. It is located right on the beach where the Atlantic Ocean meets the shore. It features historic charm, modern amenities, and with a complete renovation to give you luxury surroundings with the classic look and feel of a 1920s craftsman-style beachfront house. Enjoy gorgeous and unobstructed 360 ocean views from all second-story rooms, including the oceanfront porch. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, bed and bath linens, charcoal grill, and beach toys for all ages, including a billiards table on the ocean porch, are included with your stay. Are you feeding a crowd? The billiards table easily converts into an additional dining table ready to meet your entertaining needs.
After a day full of sun and fun, sit back and enjoy the home theater, which includes a 70-inch smart TV with a subwoofer in the great room and one in the primary bedroom. Tybee Dunes' airy layout comprises five bedrooms and three baths and comfortably sleeps 12. There is a king bed in the primary bedroom, three queen bedrooms, and a bunk room that sleeps 4. We decided to have a family vacation together and wanted to be close to the beach. We were so pleased with Tybee Dunes. It was perfect and had plenty of space for three couples and two small children. We were also pleased with how well it was stocked with items such as chairs, toys, and the wagon. We all want to visit Tybee again and stay at Tybee Dunes.

the property location is great. but the listing and pricing leads one to believe that the service level would be commensurate with what is advertised. the house cleanliness was ok. nothing to be excited about. the kitchen was small. lots of routine maintenance issues, the best part of the home is the beach access and the upstairs screened deck. The big reason for the poor rating was the real lack of caring service by the property management folks and ultimately the owner who was getting income from our stay. During our second full day of the rental, we returned from the beach around noon and found the AC not working at all. With an infant and a house full, with temps in the 90s and 90% humidity IN THE HOUSE.. this was a big issue. Not enough space in this review box to tell the whole sad saga, but the important thing is that it took over 24 hours (the following day) to finally get an AC Tech from an HVAC company to come fix the AC. It only took them about 90 minutes to get cool air running for us. There was such poor communication from the property manager. When I called it seemed like just an answering service. Ownership and management should be prepared to spend what it takes to get an emergency AC tech to a property rental. There should always be one on call. All the guests except my wife and I had to go to a hotel for one of our nights. It was 24 hrs of aggravation and additional costs. I felt taken advantage of: Poor service in exchange for paying for beach access.

Our family of 10 stayed at Tybee Dunes for a week. The location could not have been better - just a short walk to the beach and an even shorter walk to the ice cream shop which the grandkids loved! There were plenty of beach supplies (chairs, toys etc) and the kitchen was well stocked. Unfortunately we were there during Tropical storm Debby which caused a small leak in the living room. We contacted property management and they sent maintenance out within a few hours. Storm aside, it was a wonderful week at Tybee and we would definitely stay at this property again.

Didn’t realize that lower bedrooms were exposed to the elements. Bathrooms were away from the bedrooms making it risky. We also found the dryer to be inoperative and staff did not repair during our stay. We had to hang clothes on a line we created. The upstairs area was fine but they should highlight the lower bedrooms are not. Fans are connected to lights so if you wish to be fanned you tolerate the light. We also found a black snake in the lower level. Overall very disappointing and they should fix the dryer or let new renters know. I will not be coming back.

Well appointed rental! Beds were mostly comfortable. Could've used more hand towels and kitchen towels, so we bought some new ones and left them there.

Great place to stay with different age groups! We had everything from 76-13 and there was room for all. Put the big kids downstairs since they tend to stay up later... I was a little worried about noise but that was not an issue at all. The beach is super close, but it was a little difficult for my 76yo Dad, to make it over the dune. Outdoor space was great, and everyone enjoyed the pool table. Plenty of seating for everyone... including a big table for family dinners. Lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas... we didn't wish for anything. Lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend.

Amazing house located in a perfect location close to shops and restaurants. Absolutely everything you need for the beach is provided and then some. The screened porch on the top level with the pool table was heaven. We will definitely stay here again.

We went down to Tybee Island for a bachelor trip with 8 guys. This house was absolutely incredible. Private walkway to the beach, private backyard, incredible neighbors! The house was stocked with anything and everything you could ever need for the beach, anything from sand shovels, to beach chairs, to ocean kayaks. The house itself was incredible clean and modern, and overall would 100% recommend staying here! Also, very close to convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, brewery, etc...

It's name describes the home perfectly. We were right up to the Dunes and the ocean is so close. We enjoyed 9 & 1/2 months in the home (over 2 yrs).Watching the ships is why we stayed there. Only one draw back is that the ground floor is open to the weather and impossible to keep clean. We are sure that in the summer months though it is an enjoyable place to be. Thank you for the opportunity to rent it.

We really enjoyed this house during our stay on Tybee Island. The house was clean and all the bedrooms were great! We loved walking on the beach and walking to some restaurants or taking a short drive to shopping and other restaurants. Would definitely recommend this rental to others.

We stayed at Tybee Dunes Oceanfront with some of our children and grandchildren for a week in early October. We loved the location and the house. The owners have thought of everything for your convenience, with easily accessible plugs and USB charging ports for all of the electronics that the group brought along. The house had all sorts of beach toys, boards, floats, and a wagon. The games on the lower level were popular with the grandkids. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. The private path to the beach was great and convenient. We have stayed at Tybee in 5 different houses, and this is now our favorite. We are making our reservations for next year.

12 ladies enjoyed celebrating their 55th bday staying on the beach! The house was perfect for us. Fun places right their in the neighborhood. In and out of downtown Savannah was easy enough too.

This was our first year taking our family trip to Tybee Island and I must say this was the perfect house for my family! The house was very clean when we arrived and you cannot top the view of the ocean from every window. You also watch the sun rise on the covered deck with coffee in hand and you are in your happy place! We even got to see dolphins swimming a few of the days! It was great that they had all beach accessories for all 10 of us including the wagon to take those items to the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook with. The location is also within walking distance to many restaurants and the local grocery store. I really can’t say enough about this home, it was prefect!

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The house was very convenient to the beach - a nice short walk, especially considering we had 3 babies under the age of 2! It was also close to restaurants for the couple of times we ate out. The only problem we encountered was the a/c in the house. It was set on 72 but only reached that temperature about 3 times during our week. It was a very hot week when we were there but the a/c just couldn't keep up. The rental company did send someone out to check the unit and they determined it was working properly but it appears to be undersized for the house.

Wow! This house is RIGHT on the beach and in a slightly quieter section of Tybee, making it ideal for us. The layout worked for our group of 10. We saw many dolphins, a squid, a couple lizards, the largest dragonflies you've ever seen, and a few sharks during our stay. We enjoyed lightning storms from the deck on a few occasions. There were starter supplies of some toiletries, but only about half a roll of paper towels in the kitchen. As of July 8, 2023, there were 2 amazing boogie boards, 2 fabulous kayaks and life jackets, tons of sand toys, 4 umbrellas and several beach chairs, and a few beach mats with comfy head cushions.
A few suggestions for the property manager:
The cleaning process should be checked. Upon arrival, one downstairs bed had lots of sand in it, and the toilets didn't look like they'd been cleaned in some time. It also would be nice if it had a second dish towel.
It would be helpful if the kitchen cabinets were labeled. With a fully stocked kitchen (thank you for that), things were sort of in random places and not categorized.
The exhaust fans in the bathrooms were either non existent or not working. In the downstairs bathroom, there was no air flow of any kind, turning it into a super hot sauna on already 100+ degree days- not ideal.
The TV in a downstairs bedroom didn't work. No one checked the other TVs.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay! You can't beat the location nor the proximity to the beach! It has plenty beach amenities including a wagon to early load the beach chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach for the day.
The house is very nice and clean with plenty of room for all 9 of us adults. Great communication from the management company! The dishwasher didn't work the first 4 days of our stay, but Kelly went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable by bringing over paper plates and utensils until it was fixed. We also received a reasonable refund for the 4 days without it.
We would visit again for sure! It's a great vacation house!

Close to a lot of restaurants and daily needs. Just steps to the beach. It is really a nice house with a good ocean view. We had a door issue that the owner came over and fixed quickly. When we discovered that the dishwasher was broken, we notified the property manager but didnt hear back from anyone for the rest of the week we were there. The floors were not clean when we got there. The washer and dryer were old and made alot of noise. It seems for the price of this place per night, they could have nice working appliances.

Had a trip planned to Savannah & Tybee, none of us had been before but the location surpassed all expectations. Clean, right on the water, plenty of amenities and a great neighborhood. All questions answered quickly, no issues at all. Highly recommend!

Tybee Dunes far exceeded our expectations! This newly remodeled beach cottage was the perfect setting for our family vacation. You truly can see the ocean from every room. We enjoyed sunrises from the beach or the front porch. The parking is conveniently spacious, lots of outdoor space to play/relax. It is the cleanest beach house we’ve ever stayed at and the amenities are plentiful and in good shape—so nice to have beach chairs/umbrellas/toys already there as well as a cart to get everything to the beach. Spacious for eating and relaxing by the huge TV. The downstairs bedrooms were perfect for the young adults. The bathroom downstairs is reached from the outdoor area which wasn’t in issue for our younger adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tybee Dunes!!

We LOVED this cottage! Perfect location on a quiet dead-end road with no traffic. Direct access to the beach via a private path from the fenced yard directly over the dune and onto the beach. The cottage was perfect and lots of space for all of us. The layout, design, decor, etc. was beautiful! We had everything we needed from towels, bedding, etc. The screened porch off the main living room was lovely and we started each morning and ended each day on that porch. The ocean views were great and surrounded the house from all perspectives. Lots of beach stuff was available from chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, etc. We love the location as it was peaceful but a short walk to restaurants, ice cream, brewery, convenience store, etc. We definitely will plan a return trip and stay at this cottage! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

We planned a family and friends trip. It couldn’t of be a better house for all of us. Each room was perfect. Just like the pictures. The screened porch’s where absolutely fantastic w great views. I couldn't ask for a better experience. The house is clean and comfortable. The downstairs rooms gave a perfect place for teens to hang out, while the upstairs bunk room was fabulous for younger kids. Plenty of room to spread out, and enough common space so that 11 of us could play games or eat together. The screen porch is fabulous and we loved the pool table.
The highlight of the house is its location. The views are sweeping and inspiring. A short walk over one sand dune and the whole uncrowded beach is yours. It's just two minutes to ice cream and a convenience store for necessities.

Perfect location. Love the logistics of the bedrooms providing a lot of privacy. Several living areas to congregate. Well appointed kitchen, great screened in deck overlooking the ocean. Lots of stuff provided to take to the ocean including chairs, tubes, wagon. One bedroom has 4 bunk beds built into the walls and although they are good sized beds, there really isn’t anywhere to store luggage in that room.

Our family had the best vacation. Tybee Dunes Cottage was completely updated, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity you could think of for a large family. The location was excellent, right on the beach, no worry’s of crossing a street with our grandchildren. Tybee Cottages rental agency made reservations easy and they were very helpful and friendly.
