Comfort and coziness is the name of the game at this lovely two-bedroom home, set into a hillside and boasting views of Grandfather Mountain, courtesy of the picture windows in the living room. Make a cup of coffee and start the day with an even better view of the mountains from your large front deck. If it's a chilly morning, turn on the fire table as you relax in one of the Adirondack chairs. Head back inside when it's time to make breakfast and take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen to prep something delicious. You've got stainless steel appliances, including a five-burner stove, ample counters, and all the gadgets you need to prep everything from quiche to cereal. Eat together in the dining room, which seats eight, and then head out to explore.
When you return, turn on that gas fireplace and settle into one of the sofas in the living room to stream your favorite shows or pop in a DVD. Not done with the outdoors yet? We loved the view and was very peaceful (and big welcome change from sounds of the big city). We saw deer in behind the house in the woods. The view of grandfather mountain was awesome

Nice view we loved it, only trouble was the GFI for the masterbath. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall this property was very comfortable and in a great location made the vacation experience very memorable

Could have been a great place to stay if the property were under different management! When we arrived the property had not been touched by cleaners and the back door was wide open with it being 18 degrees outside so the house was freezing. Called VACASA at 3:30 to notify them 6:00 comes around and no one showed up to clean and we hadn’t heard from anyone or seen a cleaner so we began cleaning the property ourselves. I went down to the local office at the bottom of sugar and they had not been notified of my call to VACASA, so I explained everything again and was told to go get dinner on them and they would have it cleaned for me when I got back. We get back from dinner around 8:30 and still no one had showed up, when they finally got there around 9 they put new sheets on the beds and cleaned the 2 bathrooms and that was it. We were told they would be back the next day to get the 15 or so bags of trash piled up by the back door but never showed back up again. Now 2 weeks later I have had zero calls from them and still trying to get at least my reimbursement for dinner that I was promised. I own a vacation rental business myself and know how important reviews are so I called to let them know that I would wait to do my review and if they handled everything from then on that I would still leave them a good review, they assured me it would be top priority and I would be contacted next day. Three days later still nothing.

The property was ok but we were unable to use half of the house because trash was left in the garage. At least 10 bags if not more, the smell filled the whole house if you didn’t keep the all the doors shut. Vacasa did not fix the issue after being notified and we ended up leaving early because of it.

It was a wonderful place, we are party of 9 and enjoyed well with accommodation. Except first day key box issues.
Rest of the stay was awesome and Vacasa is very supportive .
I recommend all of you to take your chances and you will not disappointed .

We enjoyed this great mountain home! Our family of 4 had plenty of space and enjoyed nights by the fire watching movies. Breakfast on the deck overlooking Grandfather Mountain was amazing, it never got warmer than 73 the whole trip. The best excursion we did was driving into Damascus, VA to ride the Virginia Creeper bike trail, it was a beautiful spot and an easy ride.
