A few steps on a flat, easy path through the trees is all that separates you from a dock on the shores of First Roach Pond. At this inviting lakefront log cabin in Kokadjo, you can fish, kayak, hike, hunt, and ride ATVs all summer, returning each winter for excellent skiing and snowmobiling just a few miles from Moosehead Lake.
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by natural wood adorning the walls, ceilings, and cabinetry, with plentiful windows framing the deck, the surrounding trees, and the lake just beyond. In the summer months, you can open the sliding glass doors, relax in an Adirondack chair on the deck, and get the gas grill going for a family barbecue. There is an outdoor firepit to host evening s'mores and ghost stories. When the snow is falling, you'll have a gas fireplace to toast your frozen toes, a TV and DVD player to watch from the comfort of the leather sofa, and board games to play at the dining room table for six. Additional amenities include free WiFi throughout the cabin and TVs in both the first-floor bedroom and the upstairs sleeping loft.

We loved our stay at this lakeside cabin. Spent hours on and in the water. Saw two moose as well! We’ll definitely be back.

I booked this for a bachelorette trip for 7 ladies. We were absolutely in love with the property, the water is amazing and clear, the fire pit was nice, and the cabin was wonderful. Bathroom was newly updated and beautiful.
Very clean property, rural and a good place to get away! There is one neighboring rental but we could barely hear them and could not see their property. Keep in mind, we did not find the laundry onsite. 30 min from Greenville and gas/groceries. Definitely recommend!

We had a great time at this private cabin right on the lake. It was clean and well appointed. As mentioned by the property manager, TV reception was spotty. There are plenty of DVDs though. We would stay there again without hesitation.

We had a lovely weekend getaway. The lake and area were beautiful.

Nice getaway with excess to lots of nature and woods. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the lake. The cabin was perfect for us and everything you need to cook a meal in the kitchen. We loved the maps in the camp and the rustic atmosphere. Lots of nature, birds, moose, and you can fish on the lake. We enjoyed watching movies and listening to the music they provided at the cabin. The only thing that we did not like was that the shower was difficult to turn on and off, it needs attention. Also, we wanted to have a fire in the fire pit but all the wood was rotted. But we would definitely recommend the cabin and stay again.

Pleasant stay at the cabin. Well stocked kitchen and lots of board games. Internet is pretty slow, so if you plan on using your computer or watch something online it will probably not work very well

the rest was good, but some moments spoiled everything. cleanliness should be given more importance, many dead flies come to life from the heat. the internet is at its lowest level. nature is beautiful, wonderful landscape.

It was a nice cabin but was pretty dusty every where, the internet was super slow we couldn't play on our phones and stream Netflix at the same time. The shower is tiny as well. My husband barely fit in it. I was disappointed in what it said vs what it really was.

The cabin is thoughtfully designed and has everything one could need for a casual get-away in a beautiful setting.

This was a true cabin-in-the-woods experience for us. We came to unplug, get away, and celebrate our anniversary, and this cabin was perfect. The weather wasn't so great two of the days we were there, but the cabin was an awesome place to nap, watch movies, and read a book. We had no moose sightings even though we drove all around the area looking for them, but we did find out that it is actually moose season so it was probably a good thing that we didn't see any. The kitchen is fully equipped and we did use the grill outside. We would have taken advantage of the firepit and chairs on the back deck if the weather had been better. We would definitely consider staying here again if we ever make it back up to that area.

A beautiful place to enjoy the beauty of our great state of Maine. Would definitely do again

The cabin was perfect, very clean, quiet, easy to get to, comfortable, trees surrounding to provide privacy, nice deck to relax on, and a dock right on the pond. Highly recommended! Was interested in seeing wildlife and was not disappointed, saw bull and cow moose, deer, turkey, and fox. Already thinking of when to rent this place next.

Cozy and quiet getaway
We took our first family vacation and we’re so happy we picked this home. Such a comfortable and quiet home with an incredible cabin experience. We loved that it had the cabin feel and the home amenities. Cell phone service was very spotty in all of Kokadjo and Greeniville but the wifi helped significantly to send and receive texts and use apps to call if needed. The dock was very clean and went out a good distance to give an incredible view of Roach Pond. We spent all weekend hoping to see a moose and then nearly hit one on the way out. We saw over a dozen deer and can’t wait to go back in the fall.

Great Quiet Getaway!
This great little cabin is out of the way, about 30 minutes from the closest town, but well worth the trip! The gas fire stove was lit for my arrival which made the cabin nice and cozy. The master bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was nicely appointed and had everything I needed. I didn't see any moose but the view of First Roach Pond through the trees is beautiful. I highly recommend this cabin and I would definitely stay again!

Great Lake cabin
Very nice cabin and perfect for a rustic weekend away.

The cabin itself is wonderful and the area was perfect for us. The cabin is well stocked for cooking equipment and warm even though the temps got pretty low while we were there. Only complaint would be with the communication from Vacasa, the directions are not correct/clear and when calling for assistance with the lock I did not receive a call or text back. Service is very spotty in the area and the only way to reach
Customer Service was by phone. I reminded the gentlemen a couple times about poor service at the cabin when he kept saying someone would call me back.

Check in for this property is at 4 PM, which in the winter is after the sun goes down. There is no number on the property, the driveway, or on the road. I had to find it by a process of elimination driving to the houses on either side. This way VERY frustrating as it was dark, 3 degrees F, and there was a wind storm the night I arrived.
Once past all that... the cabin is wonderful, the view is spectacular. The heat works REALLY well.
The wi fi is very slow, but there is a DVD player and a bunch of movies and some games for entertainment.

Once we found the house, we loved it!
We had a little trouble finding the cabin but once we did we were so happy. We rate this stay a 10/10. The cleanliness, the local help, and the amenities made us happy.

Beautiful home and property! Clean and has everything in kitchen and bath as needed to live easily
Absolutely spectacular spot! Out of town and peaceful, yet 18 miles or less to anything you need to have for supplies to cook and enjoy! Highly recommend! Property manager was beyond helpful and pleasant,( we arrived after a storm to no power,But it was rapidly restored!) Only issue was the actual address as 2 houses have same number, the first one you come to is right! Thank you!!

Beautiful Cabin on a Lake
Quiet neighborhood and peaceful setting. Nice cabin and great dock on the lake.
******Problem with finding the cabin. House number on the street not clearly visible from road and on wrong side of shared driveway. To make matters worse there is another property a short distance down the street located on the SAME exact street with the SAME exact house number. I'm at a loss on whoever designed that.... To say the least the other cabin owner down the street who got a knock on the door was not very pleased since we woke him up. We had to drive a half hour into town to get cell service and talk with the property manager who was very kind and guided us into the property. Once we got settled in everything was great. We just missed an hour or so due to not being able to find the cabin. I mostly blame the town planner who authorized duplicate house numbers on the same road on the same lake but a bigger more visible sign placed on the proper side of the driveway would have helped. If that was a mistake it needs to be fixed. Thanks for the great stay!
