As you drive up to your private retreat, you'll notice the freshly painted beautiful surfing seascape mural on the garage by a famous local artist. The yard is beautifully landscaped to provide privacy and relaxation. The entire house has been decorated in a surfing theme set in the 60s with a Mid-Century design, with each room featuring a special, unique focus on the different aspects of surfing. The guests’ every desire and need was taken into consideration when designing the space.
As you walk in, you'll immediately be immersed in a tranquil surfer's atmosphere with open spaces and views straight through to the pool. Notice to details and thoughtful design is well appointed here by the passionate owner who enjoys professional interior designing. The atmosphere is set to include history fun facts of surfing while emanating a restful, peaceful setting enrobed in a 60s world with brand new mid-century furniture throughout. Even the colors were thoughtfully custom created to be enrobed in the clean, cool and relaxing tones throughout. The large living area features “The Locals” - including two famous local surfers where you can read about their accomplishments and view interesting memorabilia. A 60s nod was given to the local shop Ron Jon's with an antique 1964 surfboard hanging on the wall. No expense was spared on the luxurious leather, power recliner sectional that will be plenty of seating to view the incredible 65” OLED TV. Every addition to this room was placed there with the guests’ comfort, enjoyment and relaxation in mind.
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for preparing meals, including all dinnerware, pots and pans, blender, mixer, glassware, wine cooler and more. Much thought went into the kitchen to ensure every last detail was provided to meet your every desire or need. All the items are new and no expense was held when filling every cabinet and drawer. If you want to make a special latte, use the Nespresso machine and included pods and milk frother to curate that handcrafted touch. This space was not left out of the unique antique touches of woodwork found in most of the house.
The “Gidget” room is an indoor patio area perfect for lounging and watching the pool. Laze away on the West Elm rattan chairs while kicking up on the ottomans nearby. The historical facts surrounding the real person behind the Gidget surfing movie sets the theme while being immersed in a fun 60s retro atmosphere where you can even turn a vinyl on the nearby record player to set the mood. All this in a cottage style room with relaxing whites and grays adorning the ornate woodwork. The fireplace completes the ambience and atmosphere of this soon to be your favorite room.
The “Ricochet” room features a fun “dog surfing” theme and also includes a library with many books and games. Mid-Century continues in this extraordinary room with an Egg Cocoon hanging chair that is both comfortable and fun. The accompany curvy chaise lounger takes style and relaxing to a whole new level. When evening nears, be sure to play one of the many family games provided to ensure an amusing time for all.
“The Duke” room is the master bedroom with King-sized bed, private TV, large walk-in closet and ensuite private bathroom. Discover the interior designers’ thoughtful touches to bring this room together as you sink into the pillow-top cloud-like bedding from Pottery Barn. The Duke was a dedicated surfer and Olympic swimmer who took his sport seriously and we have honored this father of surfing with a fabulous room to follow suit. Even the private “wipeout” bathroom tributes the most famous surfing spots in the world that only the brave would venture to! Fun with a mix of high-end luxury exists here.
“The Bettys” (surf slang for female surfers) room is a second full bedroom with Queen-sized bed and private TV. You will be enchanted by the dedicated women surfers that this room was designed for. The plaques tell the fascinating stories of each one while enjoying the luxuriously designer touches including Pottery Barn linen bedding for a refreshing night of deep and restful sleep. The high end recliner cradles you out for a quick afternoon rest or book read with a favorite drink on the driftwood table nearby. Enjoy the warmth of the soft UGG blankets nestled closely in the baskets. In the closets here you will find two twin rollaways and a full-sized rollaway with accompany bedding and can be easily be moved and set up to any area of the house for sleeping.
Step out back and you'll find a HUGE caged lanai area with luxurious mid century patio seating surrounding the HEATED in-ground pool. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of pool toys to enjoy the refreshing pool water. Enjoy your wine at the Locally handmade surfboard bar situated by the pool. We thought of everything you'll need with surfboards, body boards, beach chairs, a large beach blanket, SPF beach umbrella, beach wagon, beach towels and a large selection of beach sand toys. You might find yourself on one of the 3 beach cruiser bikes strolling a few blocks to get ice cream or coffee at the Nautical Cafe.

Property was nice, needed a little TLC and could have been a little cleaner on arrival. Check in was great and overall a nice comfortable stay.

The bungalow beach house was very quaint and nicely decorated. The pool was refreshing after spending the day at the beach which was a hop, skip and jump away.
The cleanliness was not the greatest: human/dog hair was found on the linen of the freshly (wink, wink) made beds and window sills (dog), shower liners needed replacing, prime bathroom shower needed Kaboom shower spray, there was an inch of dust located on top of the W/D and the bottom portion of the vanity in the guest bedroom had toilet paper dust.
I reported that the dishwasher was not working and requested not send anyone out to repair it during our stay.

This was our second trip to 205 Surf and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time. The house is in a terrific location, close to the beach, playgrounds, food etc. Steve is a great host and responds quickly to questions. 205 Surf is a very comfortable vacation home with every amenity. We like it so much we have already booked it for next year. We can't wait!

We we’re coming down for fall break to Vero Beach and we’re arriving a day before the rest of our group. I found and booked this great home for the 5 of us. The screened in pool was awesome for getting my 2 year old some great exercise after a long day in the car. Home was meticulous and the surf decor and pictures were fabulous! Quiet neighborhood and close to the beach. I definitely recommend and would stay here again!! Thank you for the beautiful stay!

I highly recommend this VRBO!!! It was very clean! Steve (the owner) was extremely easy to work with, answered all my questions promptly. The home is awesome!!! Plenty of room inside the house to spread out. We were celebrating my daughter's sweet 16 birthday so we had my husband and I, my son and 4 of my daughter's friends with us. All the kids were ages 15 - 17. The girls all stayed in the master bedroom with the roll out beds, my husband and I in the second bedroom and my son on the murphy bed in the laundry room area. Plenty of room for everybody!!! The pool and patio area are awesome! Plenty of seating around the pool, and has an outdoor shower. Ping pong table and corn hole games outside the pool screen enclosure AND hot tub too! The house is very easy to find, very, very easy walk to the beach. It was so nice because there is a shed on the side of the house with lots of equipment to use during your stay including beach chairs, a beach wagon, surf boards, skin boards, absolutely everything for the beach. The kitchen is chalk full of pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils and absolutely everything you need to prepare and cook your meals. There is a Kitchen Aid mixer available too! I was able to make my daughter's birthday cake while we were there. Full fridge and freezer, grocery store is minutes from the house. There are bath towels in all bathrooms and sheets and pillows, no need to bring your own. We will be back, we had an awesome weekend! Thank you!

We were worried beforehand about renting a small, 2bedroom, 2bath house for our family, consisting of 6 adults, 3 kids, ages 7, 5 1/2, 3, and 8 month old baby, plus 2 large dogs!
However, we loved loved the house, all the surfers history on all the walls, the wonderful pool, and super easy kitchen to cook/bake in!! The week was making memories to the max!!! Anyone…go for the Surf’s Up house, without a second thought!!! You won’t regret it!! And Melbourne beach was a super cute, fun beach town, with good restaurants, markets, hair salon for a “chop chop off” of several inches of hair!

Beautiful home, and really great setup for beach vacation. Home is in quiet and walkable neighborhood, literary seconds from the beach and about 5 - 6 blocks walk to grocery store and restaurants. House has a modern feel with nice Beach/Surf theme decorations and it is very accommodating. Very clean and organized. House has 2 bedrooms and although there is an additional Murphy bed in laundry room area and a couple of rollaway beds I think house is a perfect setup for 4 to 6 people, maybe 8 with kids. House has a couple of bikes, + beach items like chairs, sunbrellas, beach tent, kids beach toys, body boards, skip board etc. Steve was very prompt to respond to any question and issues. I would recommend Steve to anyone!

The pool was beautiful and the house was decorated in such a cute way. The one thing to note was that the grill shown in the photos is not usable due to not being cleaned and the use of a wire brush. The house was clean but there were a few small things if I were to be picky, such as the microwave not being wiped down properly and some small stains on towels. We were able to wash the towels and get the small stains off easily. There was a good amount of cleaning products and the washer and dryer were kept clean as well. Lastly, the master bathroom shower was clean but had white tiles that had cracks in them with little rust on the drain. The decore, pool, and distance from the beach made up for the little things. I would recommend this place and stay again. I was also worried that the place would smell like dogs since dogs were allowed, but it did not! The small things did not affect my stay other than having to run a small load of towels at the beginning (which, personally, I would have done anyway)

We stayed at Surfs Up for two nights. We were in town for our grandsons High School graduation. It was perfect for our needs. House has everything and i mean everything you need! The decor is all surf and you can tell a lot of thought went in to how it was presented. If you like surfing and history of surfing it’s like a small museum with lots of pictures and great descriptions of the photos. I highly recommend Surfs Up if you are in lbourne Beach area.

This is an excellent house to enjoy quality family time! The pool and proximity to the beach provide plenty of fun activity and the kitchen is best I have encountered in a rental property. It's fully stocked, including storage containers. We stayed ten nights, never went out to eat, and hardly wasted any food. The house is also spacious and roomy, with lots of storage. We loved our time there!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at Surfs Up! The house was very clean and well appointed with fun attention to detail capturing the surf theme. The pool and hot tub were the highlight of the stay for all of us as we spent many hours on the patio. The few questions we had were promptly answered by Steve our host. This house has a great location in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to the beach (which is beautiful), restaurants and a market. All in all this was a great vacation!

We were wowed the moment we walked through the front door with all of the surfing decor in this property. We especially loved Richochet's room. Everything was top-notch and included all of the amenities we would need. The super short walk to the beach was an added bonus. We would definitely stay at this surfer's paradise again.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family! The kids room had space for the pull our cot so all the kids could fit comfortably in 1 room. The pool was a perfect size for everyone and the house was stocked with everything we needed! It is a short 2 minute walk to the beach and the shed had everything we needed for the kids at the beach! Perfect for my family
Property was perfect! They had everything you needed. Literally thought if everything. Blankets galore! And the softest most comfortable blankets ever. I will be purchasing some of my own they were so soft! Loved the cute outdoor corner with the lights at night. That was a fun surprise. This was in the same neighborhood as my family that we were visiting. Definately will be back again. My only suggestion/request is a high chair. I had a 9 month old with me and there was not any good spots for meals for him but not the biggest deal). We will for sure be back again because we visit family often in this area.

Perfect Vacation Rental
We had a lovely time. We have stayed at many rentals and Steve has done a phenomenal job with his home. It is perfectly suited to be a vacation rental. You don’t feel like you are staying in someone else’s home. You feel like you are home and you won’t want to leave. We would love to stay again some day.

Amazing property
Wow this place is really WOW. The house was like a cozy homey museum. Every detail was thought through and much appreciated because it was so pretty, beautifully decorated, informative, clean, and had everything you needed. There were so many fun things to do just in the house alone, like ping pong 🏓 corn hole, and a SCREENED IN heated pool, so NO mosquitoes 🦟! It was experience just staying home, but of course the location was prime, right by the beach, which was my main reason for staying there. It was great, they even provided beach gear (chairs, umbrella, small coolers with frozen ice pack, a heavy duty beach wagon) and toys so you were set. I brought my own surf board but he even had two shorties there and several boogies. For food, we had wonderful meals in town - the whole area was just super cute and romantic. It was a win for us and we hope to be back! Thanks for hosting us in your amazing home !
