The property is as represented and there are no downside surprises. It is gloriously spacious inside and out, private and clean. There is plenty of privacy for couples and families to be separate but tons of common space inside and out to congregate. Very comfortable over all. Equipped with everything we needed kitchen wise and two grills make it nice for large BBQs. The fire pit outside and the fire place inside is great as we had unseasonably cold nights. The heat does come up quickly in the rest of the house as we needed it one night, mid forties.
This is an elegant Dak lake house that is both modern with updates and some rustic qualities that add personality. The fishing is surprisingly good given the population. There are two kayaks and a canoe the kids loved. Dock is nice.. steps down the banking stairs is easy, but may be rough on the grand parents with knee problems.
If you have a big group or family that needs to spread out and relax.. Go Here. We really enjoyed our stay.
A couple local tips. If you are a health conscious foodie, the Aldi and Grand Union may not float your boat. There is a fully stocked healthfood store called, Nori's, that also has coffee and pre-made items. Sunday's, in summer, is a farmers market in the town park by the waterfront.
We plan on comming back for a longer stay next time

Home is immaculate, comfortable furniture, kitchen well-stocked, nice bedding and towels. Heat worked well. Fantastic view from house. Large yard with view. Great firebowl. Easy access to dock for swimming and launching canoes. Loons and bald eagles wonderful bonus.

The property is beautiful and spacious, the photos on the listing don't do it justice. The host was very friendly, communicative and accomidating. We had a great time and are definitely planning to visit again!

Four of us stayed, ages 58-78. This house is very large and wonderful! It is directly on Kiwassa Lake, and easy to get the provided boats into the water. You can boat (canoe, kayak, flat bottom) to Oseetah Lake, and then into Lake Flower, or use the locks (which was fun!) to get to Second Pond, and then the Saranac Lakes. The home is very quiet and peaceful. You cannot see or hear any neighbors. Downtown Saranac Lake is only three miles away, and then Lake Placid another ten minutes, with endless hiking available!! We will definitely try to make this home a yearly tradition!!

A bit more rustic than expected but the host, Alan, was extremely responsive and willing to please, and that goes a long way. He answered any query within minutes. Very peaceful setting with the cries of the loons at night. Great hiking nearby. Two restaurants right in Saranac Lake -- The Left Bank, and Fiddlehead, we're very good.

Large home with room for all 6 of us. Very well equipped with a great kitchen. The host is very accommodating. The lake is beautiful with lots of fish.

Large lake house 10mins from Saranac town. Owner is very accessible via text.
House is well built in that it keeps all the bugs out and that’s good bc the mosquitoes can be Vicious.
Dock accommodated our large pontoon boat which we rented for a week from lake Saranac marina.
Comfortable bed and in general the house itself.

Great communication with Allan, who was checking making sure we had all we needed and was very responsive. Some kitchen utensils missing but he did come and bring it to us same day.
Highly recommend Allan’s place!

We had a wonderful Christmas Vacation! Truly a winter wonderland experience.
Owner kept us supplied with firewood and maintained walkways (We had some snow). Kept up with communication very well. The house is well-kept and well-supplied.
It has beautiful views and and is in a great location- close to Saranac Lake (about 8-10 minutes), only a 18-20 minute drive to Lake Placid, 30 minutes to Whiteface.
Definitely considering returning for a summer vacation at the lake!

Exceptional overall experience - from pre-booking questions, to packing up and heading out. The house is quite large, which you can tell from the description, but it’s also spread out, so it would be great for large groups to be together but also have some space. Spacious, very well-appointed kitchen. Squeaky clean. Beautiful lake views, a stone patio overlooking the lake, great local food (Saranac and Lake Placid very close) & lots of hiking opportunities on top of everything else. Big thumbs up for being so dog friendly; our two big dogs loved being with us. We had several cold dreary days and still had an amazing time. Many thanks to Alan, the property manager. Highly recommend.

A tranquil, spacious vintage home with updates. Comfortable mattresses, a fully stocked kitchen, kayaks, a canoe, an aluminum row boat & a great host. This camp has it all!!!

This was the perfect lake front property. Kiwassa Lake is so peaceful and the community is so welcoming. We had a great extended weekend for our niece's wedding. Alan was great to communicator.

We have not seen the property, but I couldn't fill this out without filling in every category about the experience. We were unable to stay at Alan's property due to last minute illness. But we can say that he is a most responsive host, answering our questions along the way very promptly and even writing a letter for our insurance company to confirm the cancellation policy. A great disappointment not to go to what seems to be a lovely place. Hoping for next year!
