Have you ever dreamt of sleeping amongst the trees, waking up to the dawn chorus and heading off for a sauna or simply want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The treehouse dome might just be the job for you.

Here at Fernwood, we are super excited about our heated Treehouse - open 365 days a year. Our Geodesic dome, sitting within the canopy and 5 metres off the woodland floor, is completely self contained.

Featuring a 5-star hotel standard superking bed, woodburning stove, large rain shower with piping hot water, a fully functioning kitchenette and a large outdoor deck. This dome is the bomb and we actually want to move into it ourselves!!

At end of a country road and at the beginning of the Connemara Greenway, Fernwood is a true oasis with the benefit of being 2 minutes from Clifden town.

Our organic farm is on a 140 acre private estate comprising of native woodland and bog, on the shores of the Salt Lake. Walk out your front door to explore, in complete solitude, our 2km of woodland paths, the wonders of the Connemara bogland or relax in our newly constructed lakeside sauna house with plunge pool.

You can chose to stay in our new refurbished Studio conversion which is finished to the highest spec with underfloor heating, wood burning stove, sheepskin rugs and feather down duvets

For the ultimate experience chose our luxury treehouse dome/tent or better again a Stilt House Suite with private wood-fired Swedish Hot Tub.

Everything. The booking in was so simple. The first impressions on arrival to the resort was 'stunnibg'. The short drive through the woodlands to the pod. Seeing it embedded at a distance amongst the trees.The short walk through the wood to the pod. The wow factor on entering thd pod. The pod was amaizing. On to the sauna and plunge pool, absolutely a fabulous experience. We were blown away with the whole experience during our short stay. Cant score the value because we got it as a present .

Peaceful and relaxing with lovely walks. The sauna and plunge pool was excellent. No noise. Some recommendations - a double hob would have been really helpful and foot stools to put your feet up on. Really enjoyable stay

Loved our stay in Fernwood Farm. We stayed in the Dome. It’s so unique and different. It was so cosy with the fire lit, listening to the wind outside and we woke up to the sound of rain. It was heaven. The sauna and plunge pool are such a nice feature. The whole place is so peaceful, you feel like your miles away from everything when you’re only a stones throw away pfrom Clifden. Will definitely be back!

Our third visit to Fernwood, we love this secluded getaway. Top class facilities in a wonderful setting. The tree house is our favourite and the walks are a lovely addition. Looking forward already to our next visit.

From beginning to end - just magical. The forest walk with various look out points, all with different, breath taking views. The rope bridge, the sauna with the fresh water plunge pool, I could have stayed for weeks but felt completely recharged after a weekend. Thank you!

Everything was lovely and as described. Little fireplace warmed the place right up and made it all that much more cozy. However don't be like me and forget that you probably read you can't drive up directly to the Dome. You will get an email describing the property with the access codes and in the description it will note about a guest parking lot next to a shipping container office - STOP AND PARK THERE - if you drive down the path with the arrows it's not easy backing up.

It’s a beautiful place .. the walk in the woods .. the lough.. the sauna.. we had a beautiful two nights and will return.. the dome was fantastic and the view from the bed over the trees was breathtaking.. you need or want for nothing in the dome .. everything is catered for down to the last detail.. I couldn’t recommend it enough 😊😊

We stayed in the Dome which has been designed with thought for the guests and is tastefully detailed. The space is comfortable and warm in winter, the view is unique and the sounds just as good. The sauna is a must !

We loved the dome . The stove crackling through the frostynights , the sunrise view from the heavenly bed and the Sauna was a high point - the freezing river plunge pool guaranteed spectacular sleeps . Thank you Anne and Simon

We stayed in the tree dome and loved waking up to the view each morning. We had made ourselves breakfast in bed with the kitchenette and bird watched over coffee. The stove was toasty and well stocked with wood to burn. Created a lovely ambiance for a couple's getaway. We also used the plunge pool and sauna - felt very refreshed after this. Will be raving about this place to family and friends - fingers crossed they get the hint to gift another voucher for us to come back ;)

The dome was a perfect hideaway in the tree tops. The cozy log fire was so great that it was hard to go anywhere! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bbq on the deck was just perfect. It was amazing to wander round the paths down to the water and of course the sauna with the lake view. I felt completely re charged after my stay in this magical place.

The dome was pristine and cozy, we felt very calm and connected to nature while spending our short honeymoon in Fernwood. The woodland trails and swings in the property brought us back feeling like little, excited kids not knowing what to expect around the corner and being excited for everything.

We Stayed 4 Nights in the Treehouse Dome. It is so nice to live between this Old Trees. The Fireplace, Bathroom and the Sauna at the Lake made it even better.

The calm, just surounded by sounds of nature, the view of the stars on the night, the warm of the fire with jazzy music thanks to the speaker ! This was a really relaxing experience, the sauna with cold bath water was appreciated too. The buuble is a beautiful place, with all needed accessories. I loved the tranquility at the dome at fernwood. The view out into the forest was just amazing. Looking up at the stars at night through the roof in the dome was magical. The sauna and plunge pool experience, overlooking the lake was amazing.

It was so quiet and relaxing with all the amenities! The amount of work that they have poured into this place shows throughout the farm. It was the perfect place after traveling all over Ireland for 2 weeks. It was well needed to just relax and take in the surroundings. We even partaked in the sauna and dip pool which I highly recommend! Thanks for everything!!!!

The treehouse dome was perfect. It was super cozy and modern. Had some games to play, and loved how secluded it was. There are some great walking trails around the property and you'll meet the donkeys who are super friendly! The sauna and cold plunge were also incredible with a beautiful view of the lake/stream to relax! Highly recommend booking it!

From the walk paths that led to different areas, fairy lights all along the trails, the open fire stove, the view of the bedroom, the small touches of books and board games, I honestly have nothing bad to say about our stay. It was such a nice expect from reality.

I stayed in the treehouse dome for 3 nights with my boyfriend and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our goal was to relax in a cozy place and in contact with nature, so this is was the perfect place for it. Even though we were in the middle of the forest, it is still very close to the city, where you`ll find many restaurants. Well done to the owners for making such a good job. They definitely invested in high-quality furniture and utensils, not a cheap-looking at all.

I stayed in the Treehouse Dome with my boyfriend for 2 nights and it was just amazing! The location is fantastic and it is such a unique experience to stay in a dome in the middle of the forest. During the day you can walk on the Connemara Greenway, to Clifden or enjoy the sauna and the forest. I can only recommend it.

Myself and my husband had a fantastic weekend stay in the tree house. It was like a little oasis to take a break from the constant go of life. The tree house had everything we needed in its compact space and it was so relaxing to sit and just be in. The place was exactly as described and so clean, 100% recommend anyone to go stay there.

Our glamping experience was more than we imagined it would be. We have glamped often, but our stay at Fernwood was exceptional. The *Luxury within the dome, the moss and vine-clad twisted trees outside the dome windows, the music of the strong river, the sauna by riverside & lake, the moonlit lake where we sat in the beauty of silence, an amazing swinging bridge to cross for wonderfully maintained walking trails, and the thoughtfully placed tree swing, created a highlight for our Ireland visit!
