How on earth is this a 5 star hotel?!

The room was nice enough and we had a view of the ocean

From the moment we walked in it did not feel like a five star hotel. I had organised this property for my partner’s birthday and I was extremely disappointed. The key to our room didn’t work so we had to drag our bags up and down the levels multiple times until a locksmith helped us. We also had to wait around 20 minutes for the elevator each time as the staff would allow guests (big groups of rowdy men) to push in front of us to grab the elevator. Once we were finally in our room, it was nice enough but the ocean view was coupled with a huge construction site and construction started at 5am which woke us up. Staff also didn’t seem that happy to working there. Not the five star experience we hoped for at all.

Luxurious stay

Very luxurious hotel. The one bedroom apartment was nice and spacious. We loved the rooftop bar. Beautiful views.

Construction noise woke me at 6.30am. Suggest provide ear plugs for rooms facing the construction site. Suggest asking for a room not facing the large construction site. We didn't appreciate the spa staff asking for a tip. I note the spa is not owned by the hotel but in the same building.

Very comfy stay

Location is good, but a tad far from the town. There are restaurants not too far away, but it took a little exploring to find them. Beach below is not in use. Bikes were a bonus and came in handy. Solid breakfast. Apartment we had was very spacious. Gym was good. The pools were not heated...the indoor one had slight warmth to it. This would have made our stay much more enjoyable. Staff were friendly and the manager was excellent taking care of one issue related to booking for me. Just a note, that there are some bookings for private apartments which are not the hotel itself, but rather an individual on the condo side.

All good as mentioned.

Excellent hotel in every way, especially culinary and facility wise.

Really great hotel in all ways. Amazing facilities such as two pools, a large gym, two restaurants and a rooftop bar. Furthermore, our room was spacious and clean, with a nice view over Ha Long Bay. The staff is friendly and we even had the chance of meeting the restaurant manager who offered us a tailored 11 courses menu. Lastly, the breakfast in this hotel is the most extensive and incredible I have ever seen. Next time we’re in Ha Long, we’ll definitely book this hotel again!

Although the location itself is very modern and peaceful, it’s relatively far away from the city center. However, the hotel has a minimarket right next to it and by taxi you’re only 5 min away from almost everything. Additionally, the area is currently advancing so in the near future there will be much more to do too!

Perfect 5 star stay!

This is simply the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The breakfast, the rooms, the staff, the free bikes and the indoor pool were all highlights. It was inexpensive but so worth it. Also enjoyed all the restaurants on site and that there was a small shop attached. We would be back in a second.

Fantastic hotel. My children loved it and still talk about it.

We stayed at the hotel for Christmas eve and was pleasantly surprised by the buffet organised. The hotel clearly aims at high standard and it was a nice surprise. The heated indoor pool was also heated after we mentioned it was too cold (though in the end we did not use it as my son got ill). This hotel also booked our Ha Long cruise at last minute. It aims at providing luxury services and though staff still needs to learn some hospitality tricks (like serving a Prosecco cold!) they are motivated and always smiling.

Great hotel in an awkward location

The hotel is new, clean & has good facilities. Lovely outdoor pool, but squeezed between the two towers, so shaded at times. Very good gym. Social room with pool table & kids play area. Indoor pool on the top floor (quite cold water). Great rooftop bar. The ground floor restaurant (Soul Bowl) at the hotel was good but expensive.

The location is a bit challenging as there really isn’t anything around the hotel. Ha Long itself is a strange location with huge restaurants catering to coach tours only. [We did find a great restaurant called Nhà hàng Phương Nam (NH Ngọc Phương Nam)]. Ordered room service one day as it was raining all day. Tiny portions & same price as Soul Bowl.

Sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel

Sehr neues und komfortables Hotel. Zimmer sind sehr groß und super sauber. Das frühstück hatte eine sehr gute Auswahl. Das Fitnessstudio war gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns über die ausleihbaren Fahrräder gefreut.

Rund um das Hotel ist eine riesige Baustelle, so dass man nicht so einfach zum Strand kommt und man den Baulärm hört. Zudem gibt es kaum Restaurants und es ist insgesamt sehr leer.

Fantastic stop after our cruise

Seemed brand new and very clean and modern. Restaurants were great. Loved the fit out, indoor and outdoor pool and the kids play room for rainy days. Perfect location for us to revive ourselves after the Halong cruise and enough to do on rainy days for our girls without having to move far.

Nothing stands out was just unsure about excellent fit out and when it would all actually be used (ice cream cart next to pool)

New hotel not capable of handling weekend crowd

Breakfast restaurant overloaded on Sunday and couldn't accept more guests, slow service and subpar food quality at Soul Bowl restaurant on the ground floor, small swimming pools, small elevators, confused staff

It has kitchen, microwave, bowls, spoons, and chopsticks which is convenient for a family.

It was not clean. The toilet on the first floor has a terrible smell. When I went to my room after checking in, the air conditioner in the lift didn’t work, so it was hot. The staff weren’t as friendly as those of the hotels in the centre and south of Vietnam. In my breakfast, when I was going to pick up a glass to get some water, a staff member told me not to pick up the glass there but to pick it up in other places, while there was no sign stating that the glasses there couldn’t be used. Her tone of voice was like a police officer instructing the violator

THE POOL IS TOO SMALL FOR THE CAPACITY OF THE BUILDING. A LOT OF CONTRUCTION GOING ON IN THAT AREA, SO THAT COMES WITH NOISE.

Not the 5-stars experience I expected.

Great view, very nice and spacious rooms. We booked one two-bedroom apartment and 1 hotel room for 6 people and we like the room a lot. The amenity for the apartment is very good with well furnished kitchen and washer-drier.

The buggy service is not available for everyone. Seem like the staff only used it for foreign guests. I was disappointed because I travelled with my mom and her friends who are all over 70 years old and we cannot get a buggy service for them to go to the beach. There is also no beach nearby. Restaurant was too crowded and chaotic. Wait time for elevator was quite bad.

A pleasant and comfortable hotel with great views of Halong Bay

A very nice, comfortable and clean hotel in a good location. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and well equipped with a mini kitchen and a large fridge/freezer. Very nice balcony with a great view of Halong Bay and the beach below. The breakfast was very good, and the Soul Bowl restaurant downstairs has a good range of inexpensive but tasty dishes if you don't feel like leaving the hotel to eat.

There is construction work going on nearby, in the beach area just below the hotel. It looks like they're very busy constructing a whole new village down there. Eventually it will become a very nice and lively area no doubt, but right now it's a construction site so this does impact the view slightly - but only a little bit, and I didn't notice any significant noise problem.

Just the best Hotel in Ha long bay

Staffs were really kind and nice. They even helped us find my friend's phone! Hotel room and facilities were clean and high-end. Night dinner and Morning Buffet was superb and so delicious!! Especially I liked various breads. In front of hotel, there are Ha long bay Islands so scenery was also top-notch!! Besides, all of them above is only $60 in a day!! What a reasonable and inexpensive hotel!!!

Wonderful stay, perfect for families.

Such an amazing hotel, staff were friendly and it had everything we needed. We had two adjoining rooms as we were 2 adults and 2 children, we had so much space and the room amenities were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for anymore. The swimming pool was nice when not sightseeing. Every evening we went for drinks at the rooftop bar, such a chilled vibe there, tasty snacks and lots of delicious drinks on offer. We ate in all the restaurants and they were all very good. We would love to come back and visit this hotel again if we come to Vietnam.

It was a way to cold in the western restaurant! Brr!

Breakfast is fine, but hopefully to have more halal food or at least serve more seafood in order to attract tourist from Muslim country since it is difficult to find halal restaurant around Ha Long area.

Normally each hotel has 'one day laundry service' (send in the morning, and will return at the evening on the same day). But at this hotel, it will be returned on the next day. It is very difficult for those who have 1-2 day stay. It has self-laundry service but not convenient for me since I will out from morning until night for business purpose.

Amazing hotel

The breakfast buffet had a phenomenal spread. The pools, gym and sky bar were amazing. Great place that is situated on the edge of town. Loved being able to use the bicycles for free and venture into town. Staff were attentive and friendly. Room and facilities were just like the pictures
