About this house rental
Porch Time is a perfect gathering space for couples, families, and friends looking to enjoy a comfortable new house with unique outdoor spaces and "perfect sunset views" of Little Sturgeon Bay from the massive covered porch that spans the entire length of the house or through large glass doors in the great room and bedrooms. The house is easily accessible with 36" doors all on 1 level and is well equipped with all linens, towels, soaps, spices, games, puzzles, TV, and reliable WiFi.
Only 45 minutes from Green Bay and 15 to Sturgeon Bay.
The modern kitchen with large island overlooks the great room and is perfect for food prep and conversation. All the pots, pans, utensils, and casseroles are provided as well as a well stocked coffee bar with a coffee maker, ground coffee, filters, and a grinder. The great room comfortably accommodates TV watching or game playing on the ornate coffee table and seating for 8 at the dining room table.
We can accommodate 6 adults comfortably in the 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have queen beds and the master suite has a king bed. The master suite also has a full sized futon AND a set of twin sized bunk beds in over sized walk in closet. Both the futon and the bunk beds work great for kids, but can accommodate adults as well. We also have a queen size mattress under the king bed available which can be placed in the great room or in the master suite. Bedroom 2 also has a twin sized futon that comfortably accommodates 1 person.
The covered porch highlights the property. You can spend an entire day here in the comfortable patio furniture watching the boats and wildlife, eating your meals, sampling from your cooler, and then enjoying the setting sun. Grill up your food on the gas grill (with propane provided) and eat at the glass topped table.
There is also a protected sitting area outside the front entrance for days when there's a strong wind off the lake.
In the large yard, you can enjoy sun or shade (there is plenty of each!), play any of the provided yard games, enjoy volleyball or badminton (net is set up May -October), commune around the large fire pit (wood provided), hang out in one of the provided hammocks, or simply relax on the waterfront.
A seawall protects the waterfront with large rocks in the water and a flat, lighted walkway on the house side. The walkway provides an incredible vantage point for the expansive views of the bay.
You can easily access the water through an opening in the wall. We provide 2 kayaks and other items to enjoy the water. There are stairs crafted from large rocks leading into the water and is shallow but rocky and there are weed patches. The swimming here is great!
You may also use the 2 car attached garage and garage door openers.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The house has a nice single level layout. Very comfortable and casual. There's also a good size attached garage to park. The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood just right for walking our dog. Outstanding sunsets, and about 10 miles from Sturgeon Bay.

Outstanding property. Exactly as advertised and in photos. Very peaceful and quiet! Loved the western view of the bay. Can’t beat the sunset view.
Lovely neighborhood for quiet walks. Dogs loved swimming in the bay! Highly recommend. Scott was an excellent communicator!

At this property, youll want for nothing. All very well appointed, everything you need and an amazing view. Thoughtful to have not only plastic dishes for children but also picnicware to use if needed. Really, everything you need is at the house. The area was quiet for our visit and should be at high season because it is away from the main area. Enjoy!

Nice house on the water. Weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t enjoy the outside amenities (long shot for March) but we all enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the cleanliness. Would go back in warmer weather.

Property is as advertised. Clean and modern with great views of the bay. The sunsets are amazing! Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking. The owner supplied plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps etc for the week we were there. Also plenty of towels. This property is pet friendly which was a big plus for us as well! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Easy access to all you want to take in. A quick drive into Sturgeon Bay where you’ll find some great restaurants and coffee shops. Overall a great place to call home while you’re visiting Door County!

We used the property both as our Door County home base as well as enjoying time at the property using provided amenities (fire pit - saucer tree swing - kayak - paddle board - badminton - bocce ball - grilling dinners). Our 3 generation group of 3 small families totaling 10 people fit nicely with the 3 bedrooms. It was our first time to Door County so we had a lot on our wish list of things to do. Location in Rileys bay / Little Sturgeon bay was peaceful and very minimal boating and calm waters with plenty of pelicans to watch keeping us amused.

The property was very nice and well stocked. It was nice for only 5 days to have enough things like toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and such and plenty of firewood stacked outside for fire pit. The location was a little remote but we liked that and choose it knowing that. The only issue we had at all was the sink water smelled like rotten eggs. Not sure if that is a area thing or not but it was very off putting and we just used bottled water except for showers. Overall was very happy, owner was very responsive and easy to deal with.

Great home on the water. Small bar and grill within walking distance. Home was clean and well equipped and accomodated 10 adults comfortably. Host communication was clear and prompt. Will definitely stay again!

The house was very clean and well-appointed. We had everything we needed at the house so we could relax and play cards and games. Wish the weather was better,-the fire pit looked amazing! -We'll have to try that next time. Beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular.

The place was wonderful! Very clean and updated. Had issues with the Internet at first but the owner responded quickly and it was resolved. Loved that they had kayaks for use as well.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The location is about 10 minutes from The center of Sturgeon Bay which was great for us because it was so quiet and that is what we were looking for. The accommodations are super clean and updated and it was easy working with the owner. Amazing place that we would definitely stay at again!

Great location on Riley's Point looking at Little Sturgeon Bay and viewing magnificent sunsets over Green Bay. Porch Time served our two couples great for our 4-night stay on Door Peninsula exploring all that Door County has to offer. We loved all the seating areas outside. It was too windy to use the fire pit, but would be fun in right conditions. Everything was clean and comfortable. We bought produce at the local Farmers Markets and local meat market and grilled out a couple of nights. We appreciated the ability to park in the garage, too, as one night was a little stormy. The owner, Scott, responded in a timely manner to any questions we had.

Great Little Get Away
We had a great time with family relaxing. Cooked all our meals at the house, enjoyed the fire pit, and we did get to kayak for a bit on the last day when the wind died down. Cozy little house with plenty of beds for the 7 of us.

4th of July
Porch Time was an excellent place for us to have a relaxing, low key and fun 4th of July weekend. The kids LOVED the kayaks and paddleboard. We were able to enjoy multiple firework shows without leaving the house from the local neighbors and across the lake each night. The sunsets were picture perfect. We can't wait to return.

A great stay
Super clean, spacious, and beautiful home. The lake is gorgeous and perfect for kids. The owner was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next summer.

the property is excellent if you have someone with a walker and has mobility issues. My elderly 90 year old father was able to enjoy the facility. I was disappointed that we were only given two rolls of toilet paper and had to go into town to purchase some. It made the three day weekend a bit stressful.

Perfectly Wonderful
We’ve only been home 24 hours and we’re ready to go back. The house/view/location is exactly what we needed. The king sized bed and ability to bring our dog is what sold us on the property, and everything else was a bonus. Communication was excellent, check in easy, and we appreciated all of the little touches that made it feel more like home. This was our first VRBO booking and it was fantastic!
