It’s beautiful, comfortable, clean and a great place to stay. My daughter and I would go back in a heart beat.
There was no heat … it took 24hrs to get the heat on enough to be comfortable. It’s radiant heat in the floor and it was cold. Who ever manages the property screwed up. We called but no one came. It was a very cold first night. The heat was on when we returned from exploring Taos the next afternoon. When the floor began to heat up the flying ants began to emerge from under the bathroom tiles. Dozens and dozens died in the toilet and in the bathtub. The tiny ants that accompanied them where all over the bathroom floor and hallway. The bathtub faucet was a constant small stream of hot water. I could not turn it off and was afraid to turn it too tightly in case it broke. The flying ants loved the water 😳 these issues are maintenance issues that the property manager needs to take care of.

The house is lovely, with comfortable furniture and beds, cozy radiant floor heat, a well furnished kitchen with large fridge and range, spacious living space with fireplace (bring your own log), roomy primary suite, excellent location within walking distance of the plaza and close to a good grocery store, parking for two cars adjacent to house (uncovered). Very comfortable for our extended stay.
The roof makes loud noises at random intervals day and night. Can be very disconcerting and will disturb light sleepers. The internet was very bad/slow; we had faster internet in a small motel in Arizona! Our local family member told us that the internet provider used at the house is not good and much better service is available from a different local provider. Two days before the end of our stay the garbage disposal clogged the kitchen sink drain, making the sink and dishwasher unusable for the last two days of our stay. No response from the property manager after we reported it. TV had limited cable offerings, not a smart TV.

We absolutely Loved the location and the ease with which you could walk in to town. We loved all of the art work and trinkets and very much enjoyed the garden space with BBQ and several places to sit. The beds were very comfortable and we really appreciated the previous guests/staff leaving behind the basic essentials such as some laundry powder, salt and pepper and all manner of oils in the kitchen. It was clearly a well Loved house with a lot of thought and attention to detail put in to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The house was very cold when we arrived and it was clear that the heating had not been on for several days. It does get quite cold at night in Taos and we had a 5 year old so are a bit more sensitive to lack of heating. I finally checked the boiler by moving some screens placed in front and there was no pilot light. Initially Vacasa, the managing agent asked us to start fiddling with the boiler but an hour in, after several youtube tutorials, my husband, who is very handy and does basic plumbing at home, said it was not working. Vacasa were quick to send someone out thankfully and it got resolved but it took a couple of days for the house to heat up.
We also reported that there was a lot of dust in the house. New Mexico is a dusty place and it is impossible to imagine anything ever being dust free but this was a step above that. Take out a book and a cloud of dust would be released. Behind furniture there was dust, dead insects and it was clear no one had been there for a long time. We were told someone would come and clean but this never happened. We also reported a very noisy fridge that sounded like it was on it's last legs and a toaster that smoked constantly. These did not detract from our stay and enjoyment of the house but they should probably be looked at soon before they cause more issues.

Everything. Roomy, welcoming, comfortable.
The ignition switch on 3 of the burners on the stove doesn’t turn off, just keeps clicking during cooking. A minor irritation.

Authentic adobe home with lots of interesting art work. Quiet, private yard. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and glasses. Comfortable living room.
few little things would make it better-newer, softer pillows, newer appliances (fridge was freezing the lettuce, stove/oven marking worn off), four outdoor chairs. Not too eco-friendly to have small plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles.
