We really like this place. We’ve stayed multiple times because the location is great (walkable to the beach, the marsh, and stores and restaurants) and the unit is clean and mostly well stocked—it just needs more dish towels!

We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to the beach daily. The unit owner supplied boogie boards, sand chairs, and umbrellas. Our only two suggestions would be that the management company should provide more paper towels, napkins, and garbage bags and it would have been nice to have something to get the tar off our feet (walking on the beach leaves tar on feet). The interior stairs were a bit of a concern since we had two small children with us. Everything considered, it was a great vacation. Lots of nice restaurants close by the condo and only a short drive/bike ride to Santa Barbara.

Carpinteria is my happy place so I brought my husband, daughter, grandkids, and a friend with me on this vacation. The management company knew we would have 6 people, yet we only had 2 beach towels, 5 bath towels, and only a couple hand towels and washcloths. There were no dish towels at all. I wrote to the management company every day we were there, and they even said they would give us the missing towels, but they never arrived. If you know there are 6 people, at the very minimum, there should be 6 beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths, and at least a couple dish towels. This is a beach area, and a beach condo--this was really shoddy management. VRBO needs to vet their management companies more carefully, I think.

Location and overall property were great. We were asked to review cleanliness upon arrival and everything at first glance seemed clean; however, once we started using the place, we notice the carpet in the living room hadn’t been throughly vacuumed (large food particles and crumbs were by the sofa) and the downstairs bathroom had mold in the sink and shower. Upstairs bathroom also had some mold in/near the shower that should be taken care of.

Great location - 15 minutes from Santa Barbara and 20-25 minutes from Ventura!It is a great property perfect for a family of 4 (a couple and 2 kids). It is exactly as described and as per the pictures. It is updated with all modern finishes and is very spacious. Good size kitchen with nice counters and appliances and stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking pots and basic stuff like tea, coffee, oil, salt, sugar, pasta etc. All bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels and beach towels. Both the bathrooms are updated. Bedrooms are good size with walk-in closets.Turnkey staff was very responsive to all our questions. Toilet paper was missing and someone immediately dropped a bag at the door with plenty of toilet paper rolls. One of the electricity line tripped and a technician was there in couple of hours and fixed it.There is a nice warm water pool and hot tub in the property premises. I highly recommend this property and will certainly stay here again.

Great Place
We VRBO a couple times a year in Carpinteria and this place was great. Very close to the beach and the house was clean and had a great beach feel. One thing I don’t remember mentioned in the description but this place has access to the pool and hot tub which we used a lot! They have two small pools (one that was colder and more refreshing and one that was more heated) we had overcast mornings when we stayed so it was great to have the pools and hot tub while we waited for the sun to come out. We recommend this unit.

The home was clean but the perfumed cleaner was so strong we had to air out the place and leave the first day. I couldn’t find an air freshener anywhere, so perhaps a carpet powder? It was too intense.
While we waited for the perfume to die down, we went out to the condo pool. Had a great time with some family that was staying at a close house. The kids were the only ones in the pool and hot tub (5). The manager walked by and quick kicked them out of the jacuzzi for not being 14 yrs old. And then rudely asked where we were staying. She then told us only those staying in the condo can use the pool and that we need to leave. I’m not sure the rules, and we were certainly bummed that it ruined our entire weekend not being aloud to use the pool with our family (kids want to play together) but the manager could have been much nicer. We were polite and well behaved.
Then she came calling early the next morning to move our vehicle for their lot resurfacing. We couldn’t park there the entire time! Then we got a parking ticket! Street cleaning (didn’t see the sign) but there was no where to park that wasn’t being cleaned.
The hot water was on and off. I took 3 freezing showers. Not sure if it was because the dishwasher was running at the same time? Or a small tank (can’t do dishes and take a shower) or perhaps something bigger was wrong. Not pleasant.

Perfect Location!
We loved our time at this VRBO in Carpenteria! The location is perfect. It's a quick and easy walk to the beach (less than 2 min), adjacent to the main drag off Linden, easy to get to Santa Barbara and Montecito, and the best feel of a town ever. We will be back!

Another Great Trip
This is our second time staying at this property during our stay in Carpinteria. The place is clean and in a great location to the beach and restaurants. They have beach chairs, an umbrella, and boogie boards. They kitchen also has a lot of equipment for those that like to cook during their stay. Overall, we had a great time, and will plan to stay here again in the future.

This condos re-model is top notch. It was well stocked with what you need, clean and in a great location. Communication with management was good too. Not stated anywhere is that the pool is under massive construction. Having a pool to use was a booking determine factor for our family. Hoping the listing can be updated so others can make an informed decision too.

I received an email back with standard boilerplate response. There’s nothing wrong with the apartment but the pool was under construction and nobody told us. We had planned a pool party for my daughter’s birthday and so we had to come up with another plan. Solimar Sands said they have the owner notice about the pool and everyone who rented this apartment was clueless about the pool situation. I asked for some compensation like a free night or something but didn’t hear back. Just made us feel undervalued as a customer who put out $4k.

This is our 2nd year staying at this location. It is always clean and ready for our stay. It fits our family needs perfectly. The location is amazing. Just an easy walk to the beach and close to the town.

The listing & my first receipt stated "two heated year-round pools, hot tub, all just steps from your door". I booked it only for the pool. Listing had COVID restrictions but I did not see a statement that Turnkey claims was present stating the pool is closed. Listing has changed multiple times over 2 month time frame. New listing now had COVID info removed & stated the pool is closed. I called Turnkey 25 days before arrival, I sat on hold for 30 minutes only to be turfed to someone else, who proceeded to pass me off to another person only to be told that the listing said the pool was closed and no refund. TIP: TAKE SCREEN SHOTS OF LISTING I feel very misled and sold a property that didn't have the pool as advertised (based on numerous photos and listing statements). The pool closure wasn't highlighted, it wasn't even listed in the section for Outdoor Area. The whole purpose of selecting this condo was for the pictured & described pool that turned into nothing but an empty, loud construction project starting at 8am daily. If a pool is not available, it is not fair to imply that it is with pictures & statements such as "pool...steps from your door". Cleanliness...I do not think squirting a bleach product onto the wall of the shower and let it visibly drip down the tile and into the tub constitutes cleaning. Towels were thin, dirty & stained. Why did I not contact Turnkey? I didn't want someone during COVID to enter our condo & I shouldn't have to ask for cleanliness. We also got 5 texts claiming that multiple noise complaints were made that day and threatened to evict us WE ARE 2 QUIET 50yr olds WHO WEREN'T EVEN AT THE CONDO We were gone the entire day. From feeling deceived by a listing showing a pool that no longer exists, uncleanliness & threats of sending security & eviction for noise when we weren't even there, this was the WORST stay ever! First & last time with Turnkey & this property.

We choose this condo due to multiple pictures of a pool & spa. The listing & my first receipt stated "two heated year-round pools, hot tub, all just steps from your door". I booked it only for the pool. Listing had COVID restrictions but I did not see a statement that Turnkey claims was present stating the pool is closed. Listing has changed multiple times over 2 month time frame. New listing now had COVID info removed & stated the pool is closed. I called Turnkey 25 days before arrival, I sat on hold for 30 minutes only to be turfed to someone else, who proceeded to pass me off to another person only to be told that the listing said the pool was closed and no refund. TIP: TAKE SCREEN SHOTS OF LISTING I feel very misled and sold a property that didn't have the pool as advertised (based on numerous photos and listing statements). The pool closure wasn't highlighted, it wasn't even listed in the section for Outdoor Area. The whole purpose of selecting this condo was for the pictured & described pool that turned into nothing but an empty, loud construction project starting at 8am daily. If a pool is not available, it is not fair to imply that it is with pictures & statements such as "pool...steps from your door".
Cleanliness...I do not think squirting a bleach product onto the wall of the shower and let it visibly drip down the tile and into the tub constitutes cleaning. Towels were thin, dirty & stained. Why did I not contact Turnkey? I didn't want someone during COVID to enter our condo & I shouldn't have to ask for cleanliness. We also got 5 texts claiming that multiple noise complaints were made that day and threatened to evict us WE ARE 2 QUIET 50yr olds WHO WEREN'T EVEN AT THE CONDO We were gone the entire day. From feeling deceived by a listing showing a pool that no longer exists, uncleanliness & threats of sending security & eviction for noise when we weren't even there, this was the WORST stay ever! First & last time with Turnkey & this property.
