This was our first trip to Waco and in keeping with the "Fixer Upper" theme of our trip, we wanted to stay in an order, remodeled home. Fried Green Tomato was a perfect fit for us. It's cute, comfortable, and convenient. Karen was quick to respond when I had a couple of questions. The neighborhood was quiet and brought back the best memories of growing up in the Midwest. We would definitely stay here again.

Wanted someplace close to downtown and the college. Great location for is, but the neighborhood was a little sketchy. We did not have any trouble.

My wife attended a conference at Baylor during the week of February 29th. We were able to book the Fried Green Tomato for February 29th - March 3rd. Communication with the host was effective and responsive. Our stay was enjoyable and close in proximity to Baylor and grocery stores such as HEB. We loved the fact that the host is pet-friendly, as we were able to bring our 29 lb Mini Hippo (cross between a Cocker Spaniel and Sharpei). There are dogs in the community, that are outside dogs and will bark, but that is expected. Other than that, our stay was pleasant and we did not experience any negative issues.

The house was exactly as pictured. It was the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. The host was wonderful. Highly recommend!

The house was cute and clean only few issues. First if u have dogs using back yard can’t happen. Dogs next dog can clear the fence so was left to only use front yard and porch light was out so very very dark at night. Dogs next door barked almost 24 hours a day as they r left out at night so sleeping doesn’t happen. Then people fought 2 of the 4 nights I was there. They cussed and carried on in the yard. So even tho house is cute the stay itself was a very bad stay

The Fried Green Tomato is the perfect place for a visit to Waco. The home has been nicely renovated and is well- appointed, and it is centrally located to all things that attract you to Waco. We found the property to be pet-friendly, and Karen, our host, is very kind and accomodating. Not sure when we'll make it back to Waco, but we know where we'll be staying.

This property is truly a gem. My friend and I traveled to Waco to have the full Magnolia’s experience. We were close to everything, it was easy to get around and the property was clean and looked just like the pictures.
The neighborhood looks a little rough but we had absolutely no issues. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed the place. I gave 4 stars for Location/neighborhood because there was a loud party two houses down the night we stayed there. So, that was a bit disturbing, but that could be a one off.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the adorable little cottage which is close to 'everything as we could have asked for' ! VERY well redone and decorated, quality interiors and furnishings, well laid out and usable space, and just plain comfortable surroundings! Having done some redo's myself, I could see the very well thought out floor plan come to life in the open -plan full-kitchen / living area, privacy of the two separated bedrooms, and even the outdoor private space and pet area.
The surrounding area is a fairly well kept small home area which felt safe to me - important! NICE neighbors!
Would be as nice for 6 as it was for 2! ENJOYED!
One recommendation to improve the curb appeal would be a little work on the front grass. Some weed and feed, and water would go a long way.

We’ve stayed at many VRBO’s in Waco while visiting kids who live here and this is one of the very best! It’s exactly as shown in the pictures and feels quite spacious inside. And it was very clean! The kitchen is bright and inviting—and we appreciated the coffee and tea cart. The large kitchen table was a great place to start each day. The master bedroom is large with more than enough room to stretch out and unpack for several days. Thoughtful renovation with built-in shelving in the bathroom provides space for cosmetics and toiletries. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt very comfortable coming and going at all hours. We hope to enjoy the cute back patio on our next visit when it isn’t 98 degrees with 75% humidity!

My sister and I decided Waco would be the location of our annual “Sisters Only Weekend” and we decided we would enjoy a house instead of a hotel.
We loved everything about this house. Plenty of room in the driveway to park two cars. Check-in instructions were detailed perfectly. The house is decorated beautifully. It was all the little details. The beds were comfortable. I won the coin toss and had the larger bedroom and slept like a boss in that bed.
The neighborhood is an older one, but no issues at all. It seemed like our drive was never more than 10 minutes to wherever we wanted to go. It was Memorial Day Weekend, so the neighbors on one side stayed up a bit late so we could hear talking and basketball being played but it wasn’t crazy loud. But both of us sleep with earplugs and had no issues with the noise.
It was so nice coming back to the house after a day of shopping, exploring the area and a nice dinner out and just visiting and catching-up. The living room was very comfortable and kitchen is nicely equipped. It had everything we needed for the weekend.
Oh! If you want something from an amazing and cute bakery, try Baked Bliss Bakery down the road. On the first morning, we stocked up our kitchen with cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, breakfast quiches and kolaches. Everything was SO good.
Karen is an amazing host and was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place to stay for a girls weekend getaway to Waco to do all things Magnolia!!!
8.0 / 10.0
My wife always wanted to go to see the Magnolia stuff. It was our 47th anniversary so I took her to see it from Greenfield Indiana. The property is exactly as shown, clean, newly renovated and well supplied with essentials. It is about 3 miles from the silos. The neighbor hood was a little rough. One neighbor kept yelling at our dog (who does bark at strangers but just wanted petted). Not friendly at all. My wife and I did walk around the block several times and most others around were friendly. One neighbor picks up a child up for school so at 740 every morning you get woke up with several long blast of the horn just in front of the property. All things considered and the price compared to all others I believe it is worth while to stay there.

This B & B was very nice clean and recently renovated. Check in and out was super easy. The neighborhood is not the best but would not keep us from staying here in the future.

Karen was very flexible with us and prompt to answer any questions. The home was very clean and accurately displayed in pictures. We loved the open floor plan, the backyard, and the little details to make the home feel welcoming. The neighborhood and area were older but we never felt unsafe. Super close to everything (fun and food)! Great weekend getaway!

Cute, clean properly that had everything we needed for a quick getaway! The fenced backyard was a hit with our dogs!
