The property is quite quaint with an old style elegance and feel. It has no central air, but the window a/c are of tlan older style and are very cold and reliable. There is a very active railroad immediately behind the property, however, the noise and vibrations bring me back to my boyhood home and I found it very soothing once we got used to it. The kids found all of the trains very fascinating and watched them often. The host has made sure that it was well supplied and very easy to get a hold of. I will stay here again.

The house was sufficient for our needs

Everything was provided for a very comfortable stay. All restaurant and store employees along the corridor were so friendly and helpful. We hope to come back.
Would’ve appreciated brighter light in the dining area (aging eyes); otherwise all was so good.

We enjoyed the house and the neighborhood very much. The kitchen and dining room worked well for a group. Patti was lovely as well. We even used the yard for outdoor games.

Really enjoyed a few days in Stockholm staying at banner cottage. Plenty of space and a great host.

Pat was very good coming to help get tv signed on. the area is great. kitchen updated with plenty of accessories to use. The stairs are very small and steep. the furniture needs to be updated. The dark blue paint could be changed to lighter color. The biggest disappointment was the deck. The tile floor coming up, could trip. The couches need to be updated. You cannot see the river or access the yard. Needs some lawn care. The side porch was very nice though. We just ignored all this and enjoyed the surrounding area. With a few minor upgrades this would be super.

My bridal party and I stayed here the weekend of my wedding. It was the perfect place for us to stay. Plenty of places for us to get ready. We loved the outdoor patio and the location was perfect.

It was clean and cute!

We were generally pleased with our stay. Would point out to other senior citizens or those with limited mobility that the only access is through the front door with private parking in the rear of the building making loading and unloading luggage, purchases, and supplies a real challenge to get in. To be fair, there is some on street parking right in front of the cottage, but there is no assurance they will be available to occupants. Most rentals have coffee and condiments on hand…there was not enough coffee in the container to make even one pot. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, cups, etc provided. Lots of games on the premises too. It would have been helpful to have written out directions for using the TV…this group of senior citizens is not very technically savvy! Pat was very helpful and even stopped to see if we needed the heat turned on as it was turning cool. Cute little town with some interesting shops and restaurants. The trains run frequently during the night on the very nearby railroad tracks and occasionally woke us up…I think we didn’t notice as much after the first night and considered it part of the ambiance! We were all overall satisfied with our weekend stay.

Great cozy home! Loved the location! Clean and comfortable!!

We love to visit Stockholm, and the best way to immerse ourselves is to stay in town, and this cottage is exactly that. This is a return stay here, and we look forward to coming back again.
4.7
We are high school friends looking for a place to meet. Our property fit our needs and had everything we needed. The town is small and we had to drive to find places to eat but found some great places close by.
4.7
Entrance not as expected but acceptable
4.7
It was nice to be close to shops in town. We liked having the large table for playing games and gathering around. Main floor bedroom with bath was nice for our 94 year old mother. Kitchen was well supplied with dinnerware, etc.
4.7
Good location, clean overall, enough room for our group of five.
4.7
Great place and location for 5 longtime college friends! Nice to have plenty of sleeping spots,
and two bathrooms is a plus! Space indoors & out for visiting. We ventured along the Great River Road to nearby sites, but mostly enjoyed walking around Stockholm. Some fun shops and restaurants. Go to ‘Humble Moon’ 🌝

The property was perfect for our stay in Stockholm for a wedding at Liberty Tree Farm
4.7
Nice place to stay. There was noise from trains and some traffic, but it did not bother us. Home is older so floors were creaky but that is to be expected. I would not say it is a 4 bedroom home but a 3 bedroom home with a small sleeping area at end of upstairs hallway. Home very well equipped and also very clean.
4.7
Stockholm is a fun little town, and this cottage has a great location, right next to the general store, pie shop and cafe. There is a really great deck off the back of the house, a nice kitchen, and was nice and clean when we got in. Two of the bedrooms are curtained off rooms, but they were private enough. All in all a great spot.

Must like quaint setting with some funky characteristics. Very nice kitchen appliances and equipment; plenty of seating for dining and games adjacent. Beautiful deck which we didn't get the chance to enjoy due to rain every day which soaked the cushions on the furniture. We never got them dried out. During out time the weather was also very hot. The air conditioning is window units and lots of fans; only the window in the dining room could be opened easily. The train visits (loudly) multiple times during the day and night; some of us enjoyed it, some of us not so much. Shops around were very nice; Sandy's for clothing especially.

Great location. Loved the outdoor area.very relaxing.

My daughters and granddaughters (5 of us) wanted a chill girls' weekend and this fit the bill! The house adorable, super clean, well furnished and comfortable. The deck was the perfect place to hang out, do yoga, play games and visit. We've been to Stockholm many times and I wanted to stay in the middle of it all and be able to leave the cars parked. The shops are few, but really fun. Hop Dish and Vine is a great spot for lunch or dinner and the Humble Moon Saloon has a great all day breakfast on Sundays. I highly recommend. We also LOVED the trains, which run by pretty regularly. (They don't sound the horn so it isn't obnoxious.)
4.7
Beautiful old home, comfortable and cozy. Great location on main drag. We enjoyed relaxing on large back deck!
4.7
There were 8 of us ranging in age from 60-82 and we were all very happy with the property. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided and the location was so fun - close to the wedding venue and the ladies loved the shops. The restaurants in the area were great and everyone we met was very friendly! Oh and the pie!!!! Everyone must check out the pie shop :)

The house was perfect for our nieces destination wedding in Stockholm, Wisconsin. Pat was above and beyond helpful and extremely easy to work with and contact. She answered questions immediately and was very helpful.
4.7
Such a beautiful little town and everyone was so nice, the house we stayed in had the best deck for socializing, I would highly recommond this place
4.7
Overall, a nice place to stay. House has a lot of character and charm. Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom linens. Plenty of blankets for the cool nights. No central air, but window air conditioners that work well to keep you cool. Not all bedrooms have doors on them, instead have a curtain covering the entryway, so if that is a necessity to you, don't book this house.
Downside: the trains! They come frequently, are loud, and shake the house! Can be seen, heard, and felt several times throughout the day and night.

This property is right on Main St/WI River Hwy, and a short walk to everything in Stockholm. The location for visiting Stockholm, and/or doing the "loop" between Red Wing and Nelson is perfect. We immersed ourselves in the little town of Stockholm, getting to know the locals and others passing through town for the day. It was such a wonderful experience, and the location of this house couldn't have been more perfect for that. We did have to get use to the busy train activity in the back of the house, but otherwise it was a perfect stay.
4.7
I was surprised at all the different businesses in town and we were right in the middle of it. Can't wait to rent again during warm weather to enjoy the decks out back.
4.7
House was on corner so easy access to all shops. Good information on what was available. Close to other small towns to explore.
4.7
Superb location. Plenty of Extras on Kitchen, Bath area. Lovely Deck Area. Nice & prompt communication with Host, Pat!
4.7
Nice house. Host is nice, good communicator. There are 2 things that would have been good to know when booking. First is that trains go by often and are LOUD. Not able to hold a conversation on the deck when they go by. The other is that 2 of the bedrooms don't have doors. Other than that, great place to stay. The large table was perfect for playing a couple of the games they have.
4.7
Nice older home on the main street of Stockholm. Nice little shops and bakery in walking distance. Wineries near by which we always like to visit. Great little get away.
4.7
We had a friends weekend away and are so pleased with this VRBO.
It had everything we needed and in a charming small “town”. We had a blast!
Highly recommend.
Not sure if they are able to add but a fire pit or patio propane fire would have been a great add.
4.7
Stockholm is a lovely town - restaurants, shops and the river front all steps from the front door. We enjoyed the clean and comfortable cottage with lots of room for our group of 8. Thank you to our hostess!
4.7
The cottage is really cute. It is also "historic" so if you prefer things like stainless steel appliances and HD tv mounted on the wall, this is not the place for you. But, our family likes things that have character and charm. This place fits the bill. We are already talking about going back next summer and staying longer. If you are a coffee drinker, don't forget to pack your coffee. We forgot to bring coffee, and there is no where in the quaint town to buy coffee before 10am. But, as long as you remember that, you're good to go! I highly recommend this place.
4.7
We enjoyed Pats place and exploring Stockholm. Friendly shops and good food in a few blocks. Well stocked kitchen and nice outdoor space on back and side decks. Train tracks run through town so you will hear trains but not a big deal.

Great Location and Adorable Place
The location of this home was perfect. They have everything you need inside to make your stay great, from games to kitchen items. I loved the back patio area too.

Absolute wonderful place. Only complainant is having to leave. Will be back!! Location was amazing, house has everything you could need. 10 out of 10 is not saying enough. Guests were from 2 years old to 45, even the teens were happy. It’s undervalued
