Unable to get hot water from the kitchen tap at any time during stay. Did not realise it was on first floor.

Only one mile to Maldon high street although up hill

The flat was in a lovely location, perfect for us to attend our friend's wedding. It had all necessary kitchen equipment and was nicely decorated. However this isn't really a review of the flat we booked as we were put in another flat by the owner, so actually can't comment on the flat we booked.

We were called a couple of days before the booking and told that someone had accidentally checked into the flat we'd booked so would we mind going on to the flat next door. I was assured they were identical so didn't seem an issue. When we arrived I realised that actually this new flat didn't have a bath, and we specifically booked the property because it had a bath as we have a one year old with a skin condition. So, we had a couple of very upset showers with the baby. The owner sent a £25 refund for the inconvenience, which was a reasonable thing to do. Although that was an inconvenience and wasn't ideal, I was more annoyed that the owner completely lied to me. As we were checking out we met the other people in the original flat, and they were told the same story, except that it was us that had accidentally checked into the wrong flat. So clearly the owner made a mistake and rather than just own that, she lied to me on the phone. This is just really rude, I would have understood if she's admitted she made a mistake, but making up a story just seems very shady. There were no instructions to the flat, so we battled with the hot water as we're not used to a tank. Some general instructions should definitely be included. It's nice when a property has a little book with local menus etc, that really shows that the owners care, I'm not sure these do to be honest. There was also only a small amount of toilet paper left on the roll and we couldn't find any other rolls in the flat. This is pretty poor as even the most basic accommodation I've stayed in around the world has given enough toilet paper. Oh, and there was also a smell of urine in the bathroom that really got up the nose, the kind that you smell in a nursing home.

It was home from home. Parking easy. Easy to find the keys. Clean rooms. Great walk along the canal to Heybridge basin.

Shower was a little temperamental. Instructions would have been good on how to get TV to work, but we were not that bothered.

Situated perfectly... Its close to a shopping area, bus stop and has a pleasant canal walk on its doorstep, straight to the Heybridge basin with pubs - . Wonderful 😊👌The property it's self is very clean and a pleasure to stay in.

Lovely location, great apartment which was immaculate. Comfortable and modern. Great stay and would book again.

Going forward need to improve on finer details such as location of key box, code and mobile number for the owner. This would make arrival much smoother.
