We loved this VRBO! It is just a 12 min or so drive to Ruidoso and 5 mins off the highway tucked in the beautiful hills. The tubing at winter park and ski Apache was literally 3 minutes down the highway. Also, just a 15-20 min drive to all the great hiking areas. The house was modern and incredibly roomy with 3 very large bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The sheets were soft, but best of all they had a big L shaped couch that the 4 of us flopped out on every night in front of a real fire making s’mores with plenty of blankets. We found Tanners in town that sold a big trash can full of wood for $35 cash - just fyi. The kitchen had everything you could want and there was plenty of dishes, tp, paper towels, washing detergent, etc. Some vrbo’ s don’t keep enough of that on hand, but this one did. John was lovely to let us check in early too. This was an extremely comfortable, roomy, and beautiful mountain cabin. This is definitely where we will be coming back to having stayed in many other in Ruidoso. It is the best out of all of them for sure! I HIGHLY recommend this vrbo.

This place is amazing. Gorgeous views and amazing little neighborhood. Deer and elk everywhere. Location was perfect for Ski Apache and Ruidoso. Everything is close enough and far enough. Beautiful views and great quick communication with the property manager. The house has everything you need just add food and fire wood and you won’t need much else. Truelybwas perfect.

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin, nestled just far enough away from town. Easy access to restaurants and shopping, but peaceful and so cozy! Lots of space for 2 families, and we loved the big table for game playing. The outside deck was perfect for watching deer and enjoying the fresh air. The kitchen was well stocked and made meal prep very easy. The wood burning fireplace definitely added to the charm! The host was fantastic about communicating, so we stayed well informed on weather and other details. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope to return in the future!

Our stay at the Mescalero Cabin was fantastic! After a long drive from Texas with our son, we were welcomed into a beautiful cabin that had soft lighting on and was very clean. The cabin had everything we needed plus more for our relaxing getaway. All the bedrooms were spacious and the beds had nice soft linens that made sleeping a dream. The kitchen and outdoor grill was fantastic as we made some fabulous steaks on the back deck and other meals inside.
One of favorite parts of the home was the front and back porches. They are large and allowed for our son to run around. The other fabulous part of the porches is that you can sit and watch the elk, mule deer, rabbits, birds, sunrises and sunsets. It was incredible!
The cabin treated us extremely well and will most definitely stay there on our next trip to Ruidoso!

Relaxing and Great Layout
The space was great! Open and spacious family or group room. Decks are relaxing and great to enjoy all day. Rooms and restrooms numbers make for no waiting around. And, the entrances make it so you don't wake anyone if you slip out for a morning hike :) A really pleasant stay!
