Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

This was a very cozy cabin/tiny house! It was very clean and had all we needed. There were only a couple of things to mention: needs curtains or blinds on the front door and the blinds didn’t cover the window (on the inside near the door). We had to put a towel up on the side of the window and a blanket from the sofa to cover the window on the door. Also, the parking spot could’ve been a little deeper for our truck to pull in. The rock could’ve been pulled back some...there is also poison ivy on the bush where you get out of the passenger door at parking spot. These are not major issues, so we don’t really have complaints. We may get back there to visit one day. Loved the price, too! Very affordabl! Thank you! Thanks for having this sweet cabin available! The Wells’

We had an amazing stay at Maple Cabin. It was a great home base for our park exploration and Bryson City is a fun town. The cabin had everything we needed and we were very comfortable, apart from the bed being a bit firm. We will definitely be back!

My wife and 2 little girls really enjoy the cabin my daughters caught crayfish and salamanders in the nearby stream and fireflies at night. My wife and I really enjoyed campfires at night and using the grill and the view was spectacular. The location was so convenient close to downtown but felt like a cabin deep in the woods with the Smoky mountains park close also and having Ingles grocery nearby.

Absolutely beautiful views and a really nice property with a great location my wife and 2 kids really enjoyed it. My 2 girls loved catching salamanders in the small creek and catching fireflies at night

We had a great three nights in Maple Cabin 3, using it as a launch point for several days of hiking and exploring in GSMNP. The cabin location is a little tricky to find the first time, but close to town, almost next door to an Ingles grocery store, and just 15-20 minutes from Cherokee and the park entrance. The four units are spaced to provide ample privacy, and having an outdoor porch and fire pit seating alongside a babbling brook added a nice touch. I was with a buddy, but after spending three nights here, I want to return and bring my wife next time, who is not a camper, but would love this little unit. New, clean, roomy shower, coffee maker and stove/microwave, plus a queen and bunkbeads - hard to beat this. The only complaint we have is that the streaming of a live sports event was unwatchable because of the slow service - constant buffering. But regular streaming was fine, and we weren't there to watch TV, just that one particular game. But they warn you about that slow service in the marketing materials provided - they were right! We will definitely return to GSMNP, and staying in these cabins on the Bryson City side is SO much better than staying in Gatlinburg. Very convenient to the park and only 2.5 hours back to Atlanta! Great spot.

Great place for the price. Honestly the only complaint is that the cabin does not maintain heat that well. Honestly not that big of a deal. It was overall a pleasant experience.

We had no problem finding the cabin and had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean and well stocked with necessities. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We found everything we needed for a relaxing stay in Bryson City.

Overall this was a perfect getaway for us! Two adults, wondering what the “tiny house” lifestyle is all about. The cabin is beautiful, lots of windows and natural light, lovely tall ceilings, and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed exploring Bryson City, and loved the 30 minute drive into the Smokies. We have already started planning a return trip, this time encouraging friends to come along and rent the cabin next door!
All linens were provided, plenty of cleaning supplies, and kitchen was equipped decently (could use a cutting board though). One kitchen gripe: preground coffee is provided, but the only machine is a single serve keurig with no reusable filter cup. So no way to use the provided coffee. They did provide 2 K-cups, but we were there two mornings so that wouldn’t have gone very far for 2 coffee-loving adults. Thankfully we brought our own instant coffee.
As mentioned in a previous review- the mattresses are VERY FIRM. My husband and I enjoyed it as we like a firm mattress. If you don’t like a firm mattress… you will probably be uncomfortable. We also ended up unplugging the TV at night because it kept turning itself on.

Perfect cabin for our stay, it has everything we needed and stocked perfectly. The cabin had a great view of the mountains, it was very quiet on the mountain and peaceful. We enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores and sitting outside eating breakfast in the morning. For future it would be great for a little more storage, only had one table to store things and then we couldn’t use the table to eat. Also a tv in the bedroom would be nice and mats for the bathroom floor. But everything else just just as expected.

Cute little cabin tucked away into a little neighborhood of Bryson City. It was very clean and only about 6 min away from the town. We did the 3 waterfall loop near the deep creek area and had a wonderful time.

This cabin was the perfect size for my daughters and I. It is located in a very peaceful area but so close to the beautiful downtown. I highly recommend it, we’ll come back again!!

Reviewer Comments:
These are sweet little cabins with a nice view; very private but just a few minute’s from Bryson City. They are less than a year old and very well cared for. They have a well equipped kitchen and nice covered porch. Perfect for a couple; maybe a little snug for parents plus children, but this is an area where most visitors spend most of their time outside anyway. We will certainly stay there again.

Rental was super easy and seamless. will definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of it and loved the view. But my main complaint is the master bed. It sucked. Like terribly like my fiancé slept on the futon because it was better than the mattress. It was horrendously bad to lay on, the kitchen was okay but there wasn’t any counter space which I understand because of the size but a sink cover for extra space would’ve been nice. Couldn’t see the tv from the couch so we had to turn it to be able to see it from the couch. But the main complaint is the beds comfortability. I doubt we’d stay here again because of the bedrooms mattress. It was a lovely location, had a great weekend there except for laying down to sleep. And the stream that’s advertised is little more than a drainage ditch. I was expecting a creek or something that was at least deep enough to consider playing in. Not something that is so small you can miss it if you aren’t looking for it. The fire ring was a very nice addition and had fun roasting s’mores and hot dogs over it. But very much enjoyed it 2/3s of the time but the other third of the time was miserable sleeping on what felt like a concrete slab. But everything there worked great. Ac kicked, shower was hot, stove worked but had a strange smell to it when I cooked some garlic bread in it. Thankfully it didn’t ruin the food but the smell was almost horrendous. Also there was only one trash bag. Thankfully we managed to fit all our trash in the one bag but if we would’ve had another person or two with us the one bag wouldn’t have been enough. Also couldn’t figure out the tv, couldn’t figure out how to find the shows I wanted also hit my head multiple times when I woke up at night to use the bathroom and even during the day time. The bunk beds were okay, ended up using them as shelves for our groceries. And also small nitpick but wish there would’ve been a TV on the wall in the bedroom where the coaxial cable plug in was.

We were very satisfied overall. The view of the mountains, and proximity to town were excellent.
The cabin was pretty new, and there was one punch list item that needed attention. (Towel rack in bathroom needed to be mounted). The only real problem we had was that the lawn person was trimming the grass at 7:30 in the morning! Also, there were no instructions on how to lock the front door upon exiting the cabin. However, a Yellow Rose staff member came out to assist us in minutes after we called their office!
