The hotel was extremely dirty on the stairwell and walkway to the room. The room was renovated but still had a smell to it that reeked of old cigarettes. I got up in the middle of the night and a cockroach was perched on the toilet. When I che led out at 6 am, the clerk never asked me how my stay was. This was an aweful experience.

Where do I start. My heater was broken for two days. When I asked them to fix it they lied and said the engineer was right in front of them and was walking my way. After several calls and nearly an hour later, an engineer showed up. While he was there they tried to radio to him a cover story on why he was late. I could hear it. The engineer was mortified.
But also, the something broke in or above my room that sounded like a B17 bomber was in the room. The whole room shook. I have a recording of it. It’s horrible. I thought the room was going to explode.
Of course, the restaurant was locked during its dinner hours. We all waited outside, while someone showed up 15 minutes late with no sense of urgency.
When I brought this up to the manager (well first I had to wait at the unmanned front desk) she had little concern, cut me off and said there is nothing they can do except shop me across town.
Don’t go here. Or do if you want. The management and staff won’t care either way.

Room needs to be remodeled, sink was clogged, carpet was wrinkled and paint was scratched. Landscaping needs some love.

I am not a fan of reviews that complain about check in staff, however the gal whi checked me in was rude and nasty. I arrived early and had called to see if I could check in early. Was told no problem it would be a $50 charge. When I arrived the gal at front desk said it was $90. She asked who said $50. I of course didn't realize I needed to have so much information. She eventually agreed to $50 but, with extreme attitude. The hotel is nice with an unbelievable breakfast included.

Loved the location and the Hotel but we had no soap in our room and had to call down twice to get it. The servers at restaurant and bar seemed overwhelmed at times.

A good sized suite ideal for our needs. Warm welcome from all staff we met. Bonus little drinks reception early evening us a nice touch. Good location. A good short stay

The staff was very friendly and constantly working. Cleaning rooms, public spaces, dining areas and pool. Our room was fresher every day of the 4 days we were there. We enjoyed using both pools and one of the pools is open 24hrs. The complementary breakfast is always great and the staff cooking and restocking was always very friendly. Another amazing perk was the evening cocktail hour and snack. Over all this hotel although a tiny bit dated on the outside is still a wonderful place to stay.

Overall very nice experience. Liked the concept of the room design with the suites and bedroom in the back. Appreciate the happy hour drink and the nice breakfast.

We spent 4 nights and everybody was very helpful and friendly, very clean the breakfast was great. we recomended it to our freinds

Appreciated the happy hour and breakfast but
disliked the construction noise, dirt, and detours. We only had intermittent internet, which was a hassle.

The Hotel has been under new management. The door key battery had to be replaced, keys would not work (twice). Then the safe was out of order and the whole thing had to be removed from the wall and replaced with a new one. Then the coffee maker was broken and had to be replaced. The only gave us one bar of soap in the bathroom and had to ask for one for the tub. Other people we talked to had mold in their air conditioner vents. I was glad that the maids were back to clean our rooms on a daily bases so that we could get fresh towels instead of having to get them at the front desk.

Just a quick stop in Scottsdale for a couple of days and the hotel served its purpose for us. The room was much larger than we had anticipated. The morning breakfast buffet that was offered served a wide variety of food.

The hotel is very run down. One of the pools is under construction. One of the elevators was broken. There was no hot water. They said it was repaired but in the morning there was still no hot water. The area around the hotel did not feel safe.
4.1
Three non working elevators and the one that did work reeked of a strong mildew and urine smell on Friday night at check-in and still had the same nauseating over-powering odors at check-out on Saturday at noon. The room carpeting had many severe stains!! Shower and Jacuzzi tub worked fine. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean!! This stay was very overpriced at $240+ for one night considering the condition of the room and hotel facilities!!

We enjoyed the remodeled suite, lots of room, clean and quiet. Very nice location. One of the best made to order hot breakfast, omelets, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage and more.

Room was spacious and clean
Complimentary breakfast and happy hour reception are good.
As advertised pool was closed for repair.
2 of 3 elevators servicing 4th floor (my floor) were out of service.

Our stay was okay. We had requested a King Suite with a king-size bed, but when we got to the room, we found two double beds instead. We called the front desk, but there was a long delay, so I ended up walking up to the front desk to talk to them. They indicated that since we booked through a third party, we were not guaranteed the room we requested, which seems absurd to us. This was our first experience with this issue. Our stay was okay. The staff did waive the resort fee and gave us a credit at their restaurant due to the inconvenience. Why would there be a resort fee when the courtyard (pool) was under construction? The breakfast buffet was pretty good.

AMAZING place!!! We would definitely come back! Was a bit disappointed I couldn't get a room close to the pool that was open (not their fault, I tried modifying my stay on hotels.com but they were probably looked already due to the week long powerlifting event i am sadly going to miss ( it starts tomorrow).. it was an AMAZING TIME, THANK YOU!!

We have an amazing stay here! I cannot wait for the other pool to open back up. One of outlr FAVORITE staycation spots great for couples and families! Breakfast was delicious and the socoal hour a major plus!

This is my “go to” spot for a summer staycation. The value for the price is the best I have experienced thus far in Arizona. Due to current renovations, there is only one pool available. Although that pool had higher than normal traffic, still enjoyable. Also really enjoyed Grinaldi’s. The servers were very pleasant and the food was descent. Coupled with the complimentary manager reception and cooked to order breakfast buffet, an amazing value.

It was difficult to find parking in the evenings. Get back to the hotel early to get good parking spaces.

My “first” initial room had no air flow so in others words the AC was down :( A bad strike to start off, trust I gave the room a chance. Disappointed since we’re talking the Embassy Suites to hold up to there reputation. Not to mention two of my room keys they gave me didn’t work. Honestly it was a joke to start. The maintenance guy understood my frustration and pissed off attitude later on in the night and made it better switching my room up. Breakfast was amazing, but overall I couldn’t get past how difficult and uncomfortable it was arriving there to start. I’ll try to avoid that hotel next time.

Super dirty!

The AC wouldn’t work. Nothing said about pool out until you get there. And they switched my rooms where I had booked and confirm 2 times with the hotel, adjoining rooms. I’ve been here several times with my family, this was the worst! Bring back Chaparral Suites.

Was surprised that this hotel was a complete construction site. Was not mentioned during booking. Read that happy hour went until 7:30- rushed to get there only to be told we just missed it. Would have been nice if they let us have a drink due to the inconvenience of the construction…smelly carpets in room too!!!

My girlfriend and I came down for a quick getaway for a couple of days. Loved the property, all the staff were very friendly, great breakfast, loved the evening reception also. Just had a great time overall and look forward to coming back.

We have stayed here before which is why we chose to stay again. We were very disappointed. We arrived and found out one pool was under construction which was not mentioned on the embassy website. The other pool was open but as mentioned by the front desk had no air regulators that worked so was 90 degrees. We were very frustrated as we planned for a pool day during our 2 night trip. We had to cancel the pool day because with 115 degree weather a 90 degree pool was insanely warm. If we had know about the construction we would not have chosen this resort. The resort fee should not have been charged as there are amenities we cant utilize. Very frustrating experience, not sure i woukd go back.

A/C didn’t fully work shower and sink didn’t drain properly and was a far walk from the lobby. Also only 1 pool working but the staff were really nice and bartenders. But decent price

From here on to the future my basketball team and i will be staying here. This was such a great find. Close to the mall, restaurants and there is always plenty to do in the area
4.1
I really appreciated that we were able to check in early, the room was really nice, and the beds were very comfortable. Other than that, the pull out couch was just a box springs that was so uncomfortable to sleep on, my friend cut her leg on a staple sticking out of the dining chair, the pool was so hot that it felt like swimming in a warm bath in 106 degree heat, there was no air conditioning in the elevators ( the ones that weren’t out of order), and construction everywhere. Would definitely stay here again if some of these things got fixed.
