Incredible stay, room was beautiful, front desk staff was exceptional. When we addressed a situation with a valet on our last day they addressed it quickly.

Nice Boutique Hotel. Large room with sitting area and fireplace. Extra charge for parking which sucked. Bed was too firm. View of Cannery Row. It was loud until about 10:30 due to Sly Mc Flys and a "Christmas Parade" but quiet after that. I enjoyed the stay but Hubby's back was killing him in the morning.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nicely decorated with cozy fireplace. Breakfast served in your room was a bonus. Amazing view was breathtaking. Our new favorite spot!

Spent 2 days here and got the room with the ocean view. The staff was really nice and helpful. This hotel is also about a 5 min walk to the aquarium which is where I spent one of my days.

Property is beautiful and in a great location. Unfortunately our room had a leaky sink in the bathroom which caused the floors to be wet and we had to have towels on the floor. Thankfully we just stayed one night.

Overall the hotel was exactly as advertised. Amazing view on the ocean,walking distance to everything including the aquarium which was fun. Only thing I didn’t understand was the billing I’m used to hotels putting a refundable deposit on your card not sure why theirs was $1000, seems odd…..

We had a bay-view room, and the view was amazing. The waves were crashing right below us. I would not stay here without a bay-view room. The hotel is centrally located in Cannery Row. There is a minimal continental breakfast, but it is only served in your room (read tip). There is no dining room. There are no ice machines but they will bring it to your room (read tip). There is no parking lot, only valet (read tip). The front desk was always friendly and they did have wine and cheese hour. A pet peeve of mine with all hotels; why are the beds so high? It does not mean comfort. The room was very spacious, but needed a larger table for breakfast.

Where do I start... I booked this hotel room for our honeymoon. I had called ahead of our arrival to ask for an ocean facing room. Upon arrival we were told sorry, you booked through a third party. Our room facing the street was very loud at night, the bar across the street was heavy with partying people into the bar hour. The rates were high but we figured based on the photos that it was going to be a romantic and beautiful stay. Imagine our surprise when the room lacked from what the photos depicted... The room was very very small... The shower was horrible, zero water pressure. Bathroom was dated and filled with rusted fixtures in the shower. The decor was super dated. No amenities, no ice, no vending machines to even grab a water The front desk staff acted as if we were bothering them, rude and not welcoming at all. The fireplace in the lobby when not lit filled the lobby and hallways with a very off putting smell of smoke, when I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk she didn't seemed interested at all. It was so heavy in the air, I asked if she was sure something wasn't still lit. Best part of this stay... the valet boys were all darling and very helpful Worst part..$1250.00 for three nights. Super disappointed.

The staff is fantastic! They’re very helpful, and seem happy to help. When we asked for things like ice or extra coffee pods/sugar, they brought them to our room very quickly. The views from this room are so incredible. The hotel provides binoculars to watch the sea life. We saw so many seals! The only “negatives” I have, and they’re so minor, are just that the skylight windows desperately need dusting, and the cover to the heating grate is hanging loose. Absolutely fabulous, though!

It felt like home. Very welcoming. Staff exceptionally cordial and accommodating. Loved the location and loved the room with a view. We were in Monterey for a special personal event and the SpinDrift made it even more special. Thank you.

Amazing hotel, spacious room. It was warm the day we got there and there is no a/c. Windows do open and offer a nice breeze just wish they had screens. Bed was very firm if you like that. Bay view was gorgeous!!!!

I like, very much, that they serve breakfast and bring it to your room. I do miss, though, the full breakfast like we had the last time we stayed here instead of a continental one. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I also like the Valet parking option. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are roomy and very clean. They knew it was our anniversary, so they brought us a bottle of wine with a note and it was in our room when we first walked in. Very nice! Hope to visit again soon.. lovely place. The breakfast was always late and not very good. The front desk was not efficient and we waited more than 30 minutes for our valet parked car. The room was nice. The bathroom ok. Bathtub shower combination was fine. I prefer separate shower stall.

We came for the aquarium as my grandson had never been. We also wanted to spend some time on the beach. I just wanted a hotel that would feel special and wouldn't require driving or walking long distances.

The Hotel located beachfront. It is in a really great location in Cannery Row. The Staff was really friendly and helpful during the entire stay. They parked our rented car and picked it up from garage, promptly every time. We would love to return one day.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were always friendly. The room was beautiful and the view and weather spectacular. The location right on Cannery Row made it easy to walk to places. We will definitely return.

Loved the hotel and had a wonderful time. It’s not updated but it was by no means run down. We loved the boutique hotel feel, the comfy bed, the seats by the fireplace were comfortable and the window seat was perfect. We spent a lot of time by the window watching the ocean and it was lovely. We will definitely return!

Absolutely LOVED the water view from our room! The continental breakfast was just right (we each had a yogurt, fresh fruit, a croissant and a hard boiled egg). You can pick from any or choose all of these items. You also have a choice of three different cereals and a beverage (ex: tea, coffee, OJ). The bathroom was large with a shower and tub option. We enjoyed cheese, crackers and a glass of wine (offered between 4:30-6:00 in the lobby). No complaints here! We loved our stay ❤️

Very disappointed !! For the price that we paid. This room was very outdated. When I first got there, refrigerator door was broken how to have them come fix it. The plumbing was horrible when using the bathroom toilet did not flush properly. Tiny little sink with no counter space to put our stuff away. No water pressure very little to none. Scratches on the bathroom wall lots of scuffs. Breakfast was not good not a lot of selection. I will not be staying there again.

Right on the water at the end of Cannery Row. Corner room was fantastic. Make use of the valet parking. Staff was very helpful. Delightful little beach (McAbee Beach) on the back side of the hotel. Great view of Monterey Bay! Corner room has two long window seats (rooms 407, 307, 207).

We have been staying here for about 5-6 years when we visit, however this will be the last due to the outrageous price increase. It’s no longer affordable for the average individual. In addition now you have to pay extra for parking. Sadly disappointed in the establishment.

We had a lovely room with fireplace and comfy armchairs. The king bed was very comfortable and we felt like we had plenty of room for our 3 night stay. We did have a problem with our shower but didn’t ask for maintenance. The hotel needs updating but it is charming the way it is and they have added nice touches like the wine and snacks offering in the late afternoon as well as complimentary continental breakfast brought to your room every morning!

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views. Valet and room service were very nice, however the young lady that helped check in, was demanding instead of friendly and hospitable. For a slit second made me rethink if I wanted to stay there. Once I looked beyond that experience I was very pleased with my stay here!

The inn is an older hotel, with no real private parking in the area. The hotel offers Valet service at $30 dollars per night, which is not terrible compared to the location. Everything is acceptable being directly on cannary road. The only thing is that it’s warm, no where on the website does it mention that they have no A/C. Being an older location it would be understandable but be up front about it. I would probably stay elsewhere next time due to some hotels offering self parking at a cheaper rate. The money you save for the room compared to the rest its not worth it compared to the accessibility of the others and newer rooms.

Staff very accommodating. We had oceanfront room and listening to the waves at night was relaxing. Lalla grill next door (access through the lobby) was also really nice. Definitely stay here again!
