Poor menu and overpriced. Leaking toilet and bath plug broken both on arrival. Apart from that, it was ok. Premier Inn next time

Functional hotel and convenient location for business meetings in Southampton, with nearby public transport links. Whilst good overall, it was let down by service issues. For example, on check-in, the door to the first room allocated was latched from the inside! Furthermore, the fresh fruit options at breakfast became less and less, every day, and there was a long delay for my poached eggs and it was the first time I have had poached eggs that were more like hard boiled eggs!

Hotel was ok - bit dated. Had to pay for parking despite it being a standalone hotel . Room service was poor - food was delivered uncovered to room and cold!

Overall excellent thank you.
One aspect to mention please, as phoned up beforehand to ask whether we could pre book a taxi to take us to a family celebration. Told that this was not necessary as there was a taxi link at reception and we would get one almost immediately but when we arrived, there was an 1.5 hour wait for a taxi!
The reception team allowed us to book an Uber from there so thank you to them but please warn clients if it is going to be a busy period.

On the positive side, a clean comfortable hotel with wonderful staff.
On the negative side, it was a bank holiday weekend and there were a lot of families with young children staying there pre-cruise, so the bar was not ideal for a nice quiet drink before bed.

I came to this hotel after 3 days of beinv sick with cold and fever. I was checked in as soon as room ready. I the middle of the night I awoke and realized i was on my 5t day of zero food. I found the night person and asked for some bread. She found the bread for me and checked in on me later when i came down for my airport uber. It's the little things.

We went for a meal at 7 pm and a lot of the things on the menu were not available so I had to order something I didn’t really want.
I could have understood this at 9.30 or so but not 7pm.

The hotel is ordinary. It's a bit dated and a bit soulless but if you are just sleeping there it's perfectly fine. The staff I interacted with were efficient and friendly. The is a #5 a day charge for the car park which is administered by a third party firm so make sure you factor this into your stay and register your vehicle when you check-in. I used the digital key option and went to straight to my room without visiting reception, which was convenient but I am expecting to receive a parking ticket at some point.

Good reception staff, very comfortable bed with a variety of soft and firm pillows. Room had a small table and easy chair as well as a desk and chair. Air conditioner was not easy to control or change - no instructions in room. Ensuite was good.

It was ok for over night stop. Thought bar and restaurant lacked ambience. Had evening meal , quite expensive and just ok. Breakfast was disappointing, not a great selection and over priced .
It was about 15 mins from cruise terminal so suited our needs

Stay was fine only issue we had was we requested a fridge the eveningnof arrival due to having a young child who still has milk understandable we could not get one that night but was told it would be sorted the next day for us to return form our days outing to still no fridge we had to tey and keep the milk as cool as possible in a bath of cold water really not ideal

We picked it because it was close to the cruise terminal, it was adequate but not great.
We had trouble checking in, sent to the wrong room which was occupied.
One hand towel in the room instead of 2.
Food was very average & expensive in the restaurant & service was terrible. Would not stay here again.

I liked the situation of the hotel and the quality of the room which had a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, none of the black mould normally seen. There was also the option of a bath or a powerful shower. My only complaint is that the cooked breakfast was disappointing. A lot of choice, but most components had obviously been prepared hours earlier and were only luke warm, hence only a four star overall rating, because I like a good cooked breakfast!

First impressions good but bathroom wash hand basin plug hole blocked, so water backed up going down drain, grout very discoloured around bath/shower and in the morning we had a lukewarm shower and weren’t the only ones to complain about lack of hot water. We were told hotel full and hot water system couldn’t cope!
The bed mattress is also rather firm, so will suit some better than others.
We paid £15 each for breakfast, as we’d read reviews about it being a good breakfast but by 9am they had run out of croissants, only white bread for toast and no healthy option cereals, such as oats or granola.
They did refund us the £5 parking fee for one night.
Wouldn’t stay again. Just as comfy in a Premier Inn and a lot cheaper!

This is our 5th stay pre cruise at the Doubletree Hilton, all very clean and service very good.
Easy check in.
Comfortable clean rooms, this time we stayed half board and evening meal was excellent value for money.
Breakfast was good.
Do think car parking should be free though for guests staying at the hotel overnight.

The check out lady at the end was sooooo rude.
The bed sheets were not clean, the lady who helped us with breakfast was lovely!
We were charged twice for parking once when booking then when checking in poor service,
I’m disabled so was very disappointed with the check out service waited ages the. She was so rude.
Disappointed will not be visiting again as I frequently visit Southampton but will stay else where.

We stayed 3 night and everything is good. Easy to access to town centre.

However, room was lacking 4 star feel. Mattress was hard and lumpy, no hairdryer in room, air conditioning did not work, noise from corridor at night. Therefore overpriced hotel overall.

Breakfast experience was appalling and expensive. We had to wait significantly for a clean table to be available. When we finally were seated, there were no cups for coffee, no glasses for juice, and nearly all the food had gone. It took us over an hour to have breakfast waiting for everything to be replenished.

Stayed one night before a cruise. Room and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Hotel clean and attractive. We would happily stay here again.

Disappointed with the breakfast. Arrived at 10am (still 1hr of service to go) and they had run out of bacon, fried eggs, scrambled eggs and about 2 sausages left. There was also no bread for the toaster or teabags. The pancake machine was also showing an error message. Several guests were milling around trying to find something to eat, complaining of poor choice and having to wait for stocks to be refilled.We had to wait at least 10 minutes for fresh supplies of the hot food to arrive.

My flight was cancelled. Meeting a cruise the morning I arrived due to alternate flight. I was unable to use reservation and even under the circumstances Doubletree would not refund my cost.

Our room was quiet noisy we could hear everyone who passed as the sound proofing of the door wasn’t great and we were by the reception and lift lobby.
