Well parking garage sucks couldn’t get out completely a nightmare and charges too much for a day.
Wasn’t aware I was going to have to spend 150$ on incidentals after my 300$ booking for one night so that caught me off guard! 4 days later still no refund, hopefully tomorrow I’ll see the charge fall off and get my money back.
Had a fridge but no microwave or glass shower, WiFi was a joke in general nice workout area, pool was smaller in person compared to pictures but was nice.
On an another note room was clean and everyone was friendly and had a great view of the river and downtown Detroit. Still had a good time with my 14 year old in the city he had a basketball shooting camp at the Pistons practice facility so that was memorable all in all the people and city made everything worth while, we drove from Columbus Ohio by the way. Maybe I’m just out of touch with prices and amenities, but what I expected for the price didn’t seem to align.

Absolutely horrible, from checkin, to some stranger walking in our room at midnight.

Very comfortable rooms and attentive staff

The cost of Valet parking of $41 should upto 24/hr. If im checking in at 4pm, why is my parking only valid untill. 11am? 24/hr parking would be a fair. For the rate of $41.

It was very convenient for Tigers game and the concert at Ford Field. Valet parking was easy in and out. Even when busy, everyone was smiling, and polite, and helpful.

For the amount paid check in time should not have taken 2 hours, the next day the line up checking in waited just as long. Not to mention parking is not included.... 2 nights was roughly $1,300 $89 parking the 100 deposit.

I stayed because I was attending the Movement Festival. This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel. Very clean, friendly, and accommodating. There is a restaurant on site including a convenience store with liquor. I will continue to book this hotel anytime I come back. Very pleased.

The workers there deserve a raise after everything that had happened during our stay. They continued to be kind even though it was an absolute chaos cluster. Some people had waited over 3 hours to even get a room. Our wait was 2 hours. The key card never worked so security had to get us in our room before a concert (which we were over an hour late to because of this) and after the concert we went through two key cards before they just had security let us in the room past 1 am. Again, this is not on the staff. The staff made this trip so much better but everything else made it a bit stressful. The room was clean but we hardly had time to enjoy the view or anything of the room. Especially for the price, it wasn't worth it. They also charge you a tourist charge even though we live in the same state. It is not the same price you see on hotels.com! Know this before you book.

We arrived at the hotel early and were greeted by the front desk attendant who was very friendly and attentive. As a matter of fact she is one of the best people I have encountered at a check in and made a lasting impression. She was able to upgrade us to a suite and expedited our checkin process. The hotel is conveniently located and has 2 restaurants on the property as well. The recent renovations are amazing. The price for the stay was also more affordable than many other hotels. The hotel also has beautiful views of the Detroit River and Renaissance building. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We got to the hotel at 4pm couldn’t check into our room till 6:30 because non of the rooms were clean. The view from the room was cool you could see the river and Canada but other than that it was an average hotel disappointed about how long it took to check in

I found the Courtyard Marriot in Downtown Detroit to be an excellent hotel, with an attentive staff and a room that appeared to have been recently refurbished. The location is only a block from the revitalized Woodward Ave, and the building has its own "People Mover" station that can zoom you to Comerica Park in Minutes. The property's only downside was that it is across the street from Renaissance Center, which though imposing on the outside, has on the inside all the ambiance of a dying mall.

We encountered some bumps with this reservation. One after our cancellation date passed we received an email from the hotel that the spa/pool were shut down due to renovations. There were not any notices on either website regarding this reno that had been going on for months. Upon arrival we tried to check in early and were not able to get in until 4pm and when we did the lady working the desk was very rude telling us she was giving us a double queen and not the King we reserved stating that when you book through Hotels.com they will not guarantee your booking. She did not hear our concerns or needs and handed us two bottles of water and our key then walked away. Luckily the manager caught what happened, and heard about our experience. She was very attentive offering her help. She was able to place us in an awesome King room in the quiet 12th floor corner. The huge windows were overlooking the Grand Prix race and expansive river views. The décor, furniture and room were beautiful and renovated. Everyone else we encountered from the bag check gentlemen to the other gentleman working the desk were very kind. Everything was extremely clean. Although we didn't have time to use the exercise facility it looked impressive! I'd love to stay for more than one night. The pool area looks like when it is finished would be fun as well. Bottom line: Check with the hotel when you book to be sure that important amenities will be available and that you will be able to get the room you book.
