Located just 5 minutes from Downtown, 5 minutes from Mexican Town, 5 minutes to the U.S./ Canadian Tunnel, 7 minutes from the Ambassador Bridge, and less than 10 minutes away from all Detroit’s sports stadiums and and fields- which include: Comerica Park, Little Ceasers Arena, and Ford Field. And only 20 minutes from the DTW airport.
Enjoy putting space in the loft area, as well as a 75 inch HQ projector for viewing your favorite movies, and shows in the living space with Bluetooth sound-bar speaker!
All major freeways are just up the street which include 75 (with access to 94), 96, as well as 10.

This experiance was a overall nightmare from check-in to check-out... No keys in the lockbox, dirty sheets in the laundry baskets, no extra sheets, no AC, 90+ degrees all night, party all night outside the window with police in and out until 6 am.
Then the host refunds me $30, what a slap in the face.
Had family fly in from out of state for this debacle...
DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!!
*VRBO was not helpful at all making this right*
Very dissappointing !!

We had a great time staying at this property. Host was great to respond to anything we needed which wasn’t much that was needed. Just need to know you have to walk up three flights of stairs to get the hallway and walk to the room. I would stay here again. Thanks!

The host canceled on us day of check in and still kept money because of same day cancellation. I’ve never had an issue with Vrbo until this weekend.

This property host is something you cannot put in a review that explains the poor experience. The property did not have water when we got there. The water main had broken out front. We had to leave with kids. Planned to stay and see a Pistons game. Which we did and had to drive 3 hours back home. The host promised a refund and has not done it and it is weeks later.I have a vrbo note from the host saying he would refund and VRBO has it and will not return.
.
I was restricted in making any statements negative about VRBO. I had to re - write this review but if you read this understand VRBO is the same as the host.
The host will write a long explanation why it was the buyers fault. I was given in writing through VRBO I would get my money back that next day. Do not believe what the host writes.
The option was the larger dollar deposit instead of the insurance and you get it all back after the stay.
Then the cost of the stay.
at this time I am out of the money and neither VRBO or the buyer will refund the money
I have spoken to customer service over 10 times and they have promised to refund it but will not.
Please of course make your own decision as this is only my experience of the two parties

A great host, we actually arrived 30 minutes prior to check in, but he was still cleaning the property up for us. He apologized, and we couldn’t have been happier with the amazing views and the historic property itself. There are also a lot of neat memorabilia that the owner has throughout, and each of us enjoyed looking at all of it. Hopefully we were respectful guests.

View is awesome! Every property has its opportunities but for the price the location is perfect to uber downtown to any event. Bring blankets, only sheets & provided Had to buy some blankets on the way there from out of state when we found out. Host communicated well. Loved the decorations & provided tv, nerf guns w lots of ammo, games & putt putt. Not recommended for anyone who cannot climb stairs. Would stay again! Thanks.

Three college buddies and I went to Detroit for the weekend for a mini reunion. We had a great time: Fox Theater, Old Detroit Tigers stadium, Henry Ford museum, Lebanese restaurant for dinner, Boston Avenue mansions, Palmer Park and Corktown. The unit was as advertised with big windows offering a view of downtown and across the river to Canada. The unit itself is funky but everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Tony is a helpful, responsive host.

Anthony was great, we would stay there again. Don’t let the outside and walking in scare you. The views from the room are outstanding!

I want to start with the positives...the location was great, the view was nice and the mattresses were very comfortable.
There were things that we just thought we should have known ahead of time. I had my in-laws with us for their anniversary. We did not know that we would have to walk through a warehouse and up 3 flights of stairs. We were not informed well enough of how to get into the apartment or even what number it was. This could be explained more thoroughly and in more detail. We had to call the host more than once.
We were disappointed to see garbage still in the trash cans, the microwave was dirty and the bathroom had not been fully cleaned. The keurig machine was missing a part and we could not make coffee in the morning. The bedroom light didn't work and the bedroom door hinges were missing screws so it made closing the door kind of tricky.
Overall it was okay. We only were staying for one night so it just a place to sleep. I think this property has potential but the host would benefit to fix some things.

From the outside, you're ready to cancel due to the poor upkeep of the building. However, the apartment Mr. Forsythe has is nice with the exception of it being a little warm due to the cooling system he uses. There are 2 rooms to sleep with 1 being on the first level and the 2nd one being in the loft above that you have to climb a ladder to get to. Parking is free in the lots they have but I preferred parking in the front. The inside of the building could use renovations but I see the potential overall. Bottom line is that I enjoyed my stay after the initial shock. The apartment was clean and decorated beautifully. The apartment and location was quiet and the view of the river and Canada was a beautiful touch. Overall I rate this location as 3.5 stars. However, I give the host 5 stars due to being kind and accessible when needed.

Awesome location! Minutes away from downtown. The view was amazing. I will say the floor wasn’t cleaned well. Also you can tell this is a real “guys” apartment. Would have been nice to have some ice trays and more linen. Otherwise me and my friends had a great stay. Anthony was very helpful!

We had a great time and Tony was an excellent host with great communication! The views were stunning! Thanks again Tony! We enjoyed our stay

The overall experience was pretty great. You can tell the building is historic when you first come in. The hallways and stairwell are a little outdated. The actual unit is beautiful and spacious and it has an amazing view of the city as soon as you turn the corner. The bathroom and bedroom have a clear view of the Ambassador Bridge! My kids loved the indoor putting course in the loft area as well as the Queen sized bed that was tucked away.

Overall, very poor. Dangerous neighborhood. Drug trafficking and gang activity until 5am outside of the stay. Apartment was mostly clean, but the building was filthy, smelled of marijuana overwhelmingly, and check in process was hard. Luckily the host was helpful. Would not recommend for any one with a family.
