From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making check-in seamless. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated. The comfortable bed ensured an amazing nights sleep. Dining was another highlight at their restaurants. The location was perfect!

This was our second stay with the hotel and we really like the location, the style of the hotel and the atmosphere. We would definitely stay again. The only issue is it can get a little warm in the rooms as there are no ceiling fans, and although the air comes on and off quite often, it doesn’t cool the room down as much as it should.

Nicely remodeled boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Great rooftop bar. 2 nice restaurants in hotel

The hotel was beautiful. Bed was very comfortable. And it was the cleanest hotel i have stayed in. Will definitely stay again.

A beautiful historic hotel in downtown San Antonio. We loved that the property was small and Intimate. Perfect date night spot.

Great hotel , lots of construction

Nice hotel

I recently stayed at this property and found it to be a disappointment. Having stayed at Fairmont properties before, I had high expectations, but this location did not match the standards set by others.
To start, there was construction in front of the hotel, which was not ideal given the premium price we paid for our stay. The lack of a traditional reception desk was also off-putting; instead, check-in was conducted at a podium with the receptionist using computers off to the side.
The building itself is old, and some areas clearly need improvement, such as the floor of the elevator. The patio behind the bar on the first floor, while nice, could benefit from better patio furniture to make it more inviting.
Our experience at the rooftop bar was particularly frustrating. The staff took forever to take our order, which dampened our enjoyment. At check-out, we decided to have a cup of coffee at the bar while waiting to leave, only to find out the coffee machine was broken. The server mentioned it had been out of order for a week with no clear timeline for when it would be fixed.
In summary, while this property is small and historic, it lacks the luxury and attention to detail I have come to expect from Fairmont. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. I love the look and feel of this place. We were closed enough to walk to the AmericaTower and the Riverwalk I will definitely stay again.
4.6
We loved staying at the Fairmount to celebrate our anniversary. It’s a small boutique hotel with tons of charm… and we loved the rooftop bar. Both the bar and our room had unobstructed views of the tower and downtown. It was also very convenient to everything on the Riverwalk… all easy to walk. We will definitely be back!!!
4.6
Under renovations and there is construction on the street but our stay was still good! Convenient area and nice room with vintage charm.
4.6
Crazy construction going on but otherwise easy access to river walk.
4.6
From check in to the smallest need, Fairmount representatives are amazing. Very accommodating, happy to help and make our stay as easy and comfy as possible.
And I love the size of the property! Very boutique.

Hotel is very nice. The restaurants are also very nice. I recommend staying at this historic Hotel.
4.6
The hotel was very cute and nicely styled. Both the rooftop bar (excellent Old Fashioned) and the lobby bar were nice and had great bartenders. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, however, the thermostat is located in the room foyer directly below the AC vent which causes the AC to cycle 30 seconds on then one minute off, and that got kind of annoying. And there was a problem with our hot water. It was fixed quickly but happened a few times, so another small annoyance.

Views everywhere!! I love that it had free parking. I love the history of the hotel and the charm it carried. Shoutout to the staff they are awesome. The live piano was amazing
4.6
The room was very nice.

Loved this hotel and absolutely recommend it. There is a ton of construction outside that detracts from its location, but that is the only drawback.
It is convenient to the conference center and everything about it is top notch, from the toiletries, a deep bath, tons of hot water, gorgeous bedding, comfortable bed and speedy WIFI. The staff were very kind and helpful and gave me a very late checkout as I had an early evening flight.
The restaurant was excellent too, I had lunch on the last afternoon and wish I had known it was so good as I probably would have had at least one dinner there as well.
4.6
Beautiful hotel room and property. Walkable park and dining adjacent a plus. Didnt know about the road construction adjacent. Didnt know the roof terrace was closed/by reservation only. Front desk is friendly but overworked. No valet, no other staff apparent.
4.6
Fabulous stay at this unexpected and special hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and love the coffee machine in room. The tub/shower is great and the lighting is unique. The in house restaurants are beyond good. A short walk to the convention center. I will definitely stay again the roof top bar is lovely in the evening.
4.6
I liked that the hotel was small and personal and it being vintage. The hotel was close to restuarants & bars.
I didn't like the construction around the hotel, hard to get in and out from the parking lot.
4.6
Only issue: construction in area -- hotel and staff excellent
4.6
Super close to downtown but not right on Riverwalk
4.6
I was in for a convention. The Hotel was a 5 minute walk to the Convention Center (back entrance), about 7 minutes to front entrance. So, extremely convenient. 5 minutes from the RiverWalk.
The room was large and comfortable. Only issue is no actual desk to work at, but did have a very nice large comfy chair with little table next to it to set my laptop on if needed. Great refrigerator, too. Nice bathroom.
Staff was OUTSTANDING! Loved the bar that greets you as you walk in. Also has a really nice rooftop bar as well. Easy Valet service and reasonably priced. All around gem of a hotel!!!
4.6
Very comfortable. I liked that there was a couch so I could watch television and eat the desert that I was allowed to eat in my room. I asked for a bandaid because I wore the wrong shoes and they had them! As a single woman traveling I could stay in the hotel as there was a bar and two restaurants.
4.6
Historic building in historic district. 1 block from Riverwalk
4.6
Place was excellent. Spacious room. Staff went above and beyond. Will be staying there again!
4.6
Very unique building and the rooms are lovely. However there is zero sound proofing so you can hear every hallway conversation or door close from inside the room. Onsite restaurant, Nonna, was great - delicious dinner! The name “The Fairmount” is a bit deceiving.
4.6
A little difficult to get to because of construction going on, not the hotel’s fault. Easy access to the river walk. Hotel was nice, room 203 was quiet. Rooftop bar was great.
4.6
Certainly! Here is an
I recently had the privilege of staying at Hotel Fairmount and words truly cannot describe the experience. The service was simply unbelievable - every staff member went above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction. The room I stayed in was absolutely unforgettable, with breathtaking views and luxurious amenities that made me feel like royalty. This hotel has truly set a new standard for excellence in hospitality. A stay here is an experience that transcends words - it must be felt to be believed."

Spacious and well appointed!

Close to to city.

This hotel is gorgeous! Our room was huge and so nice! We also ate at the silo and it was delicious!
4.6
The Fairmount is an interesting place. The old building has been nicely renovated, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is attentive. The layout is odd, with no real reception or lobby area to speak of. The location is great, close to the River Walk, but construction was going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, making access complicated. They had valet set up which was helpful. The rooftop bar and on site restaurant are great amenities.
4.6
The hotel is absolutely adorable! It's in a great location for walking around. The staff was amazing, and the bartender even went above and beyond, and took us up to the rooftop bar and pointed out a lot of the buildings around there. She was very knowledgeable about the history of San Antonio, and was a great "tour guide". Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing
4.6
The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Love the room and amenities.
The only issue is a lot of construction right out front . They do not serve breakfast.
Regardless of these issues, it was a very enjoyable stay and they have a rooftop bar with beautiful views
4.6
Friendly staff, nice rooftop....Markus is great up there. great food at Nonna's, quiet strip of downtown. Rooms are clean and very nice.
4.6
This property was beautiful and the staff was amazing!! We will definitely be staying there again!
4.6
Location was great. Bed and shower were fantastic. Room itself was just fine.
Check in experience was odd. Lobby was often left unstaffed. Floors in the lobby were filthy - probably because of construction outside, but was noticeably dirty. Hotel feels a bit tired. Lobby is in need of a deep clean and should be revisited to be more welcoming. What even is that dead area to the left of entry?
